Its just basic conditionment. We need to stop seing human intelligence when their is not.
@@olivierelbougnadere4117All learning and association begins with conditioning. Toddlers quickly learn that saying "Up" when they raise their arms in the presence of a trusted adult means they get picked up. They associate red fruits with "Apple", and so on. You've learned to associate these shapes with letters, letters with words, and words with meaning.
Also, parrots are one of the most intelligent animals so they're more likely to comprehend what they learn. Especially with positive reinforcement.
The fact that birds get held like they owe someone money remains golden to me.

Such a smart bird.

That was my favorite part
The process to teach him to repeat himself must've been arduous.
@eraldocoil2719 Knowing parrots, it could have been a really hard task or it could have been complete accident. The little guys are smart, he could have learned to repeat himself after watching other people repeat themselves after hearing "What?". Training animals is frustrating, they either teach themselves or you waste months trying to teach them one trick 😂
The bird is learning language that's crazy.
@@stampie6881 I find parrots to be peculiar, they are often on one extreme and doesn't seem to often end up in the middle, they're either really good at learning or they can only say 5-6 words after 20 years.

I love that he’s answering your questions in full sentences. “This is a bow,” “is this metal?”
😮
I don't think parrots can actually form sentences, they are capable of perfectly repeating what they hear. So what happens is that the guy says something, the bird repeats it, and the video is spliced to seem like it can think and not repeat what it hears.
@@LuwiigiMasteruhm, actually birds can understand quite a bit, and there’s multiple species that can form human speech patterns, but they aren’t stupid, they understand what the thing is by remembering past interactions, kinda like training a dog to understand, they can’t repeat it, but they know what to do when you say it 🤷♂️ i’m no scientist, and neither are you, but I am an animal guy, and I know about training animals to a degree so that’s just my thoughts, so with respect, good sir, i formally disagree with you 🎉🥂

The bird vids are absolutely amazing. I cant get over how smart they are, with their tiny brain.
It's the wiring, not the size 😀
The fact that he can tell his twin sisters apart 🥺😍🥰.
He can smell the difference between them. So it's actually easier for him to tell the difference.
Besides
Many birds sexual dimorphism is only apparent in the plumage if you can see ultraviolet light.
This is relative news so not many species have been studied for it.
@@CosmicVoid420 idk about that, most birds have a relatively poor sense of smell - about on par with humans. vision and hearing tend to be much stronger in birds.
@@Cammibird1 insert the Gotye Somebody that I Used to Know Trap remix
@@CosmicVoid420 birds have a rather poor sense of smell compared to their other senses, so it’s actually probably more likely that he’s just looking at them and picking up on visual differences, like how Ophelia is missing a toe nail and how Soleil has lighter skin around her eyes 🙂

Starlings can make an insane range of sounds
They can't really talk they can mimic phrases n the bird doesn't know wut the bowl is it knows the ding sound n to say bowl or glass
