I love how he tells himself to touch the perch then praises himself when he does. 😂
Also how he tells himself to stop chewing after he chews on the cage. Lol. Adorable!
'good'
Cause hes a good boy
Relax!!😂
The Relax part is so me every day at work its repeatedly
I love it when parrots tell themselves to do things then praise themselves for doing them.
"dont chew it"
*Chews it*
"Good boi"
I need some of that positivity in myself.
"Touch, touch, touch, touch, touch, touch, *very gud* "
*hey, apollo, *stop* "
Discipline and self-control are some of the highest virtues
They are bored out of their minds.
Too much stimulation from humans then suddenly there's none when they're back in the cage.
Selfish humans making wild animals engage in human environment.
I had 2 parrots that both rang and answered the phone. Really early in the morning, before breakfast, I could hear them ringing one another and then answering, having a brief mumbled conversation, and then one of them would hang up. A few minutes later, the other one would ring, and they'd start all over again. I loved it.
My dad's gf's parrot would pretend to be the phone ringing & answer herself with "Hello? Hello?". She also would screech so often my dad would get frustrated & say "shut the f**k up". One day she started to make the phone noises, answer with the usual Hello? HELLO? & then she replied with "SHUT THE F**K UP". I died. 😹 She continued to do this long after my dad & his gf split.
Phone bird confirmed on fnaf?
That's amazing
This is wonderful 😂❤
i taught my friends parrot the n word in high school. his mom wasnt happy abt it
My father in law's parrot used to randomly call the dog a bad boy. He'd say "pepe, you're a bad boy" and Pepe would get all sad. They would all call him a good boy after and He'd get stoked lol

Somehow being told to “relax” first makes it even worse.
I can imagine the conversations that parrot heard.
“Relax, Let me touch you butt”
“Stop it, no chewing”
“Plastic, shake it, relax” 😂
most likely from his owners trying to pet him (response to the first thing you said)
He has seen things no bird should see
I was thinking the same thing let me touch your butt he heard that somewhere owners getting freaky.
I was just about to say, what has this bird witnessed? 😂
Lots of butt touching going on somewhere 😂😂

It's a simple 'Sound to action' connection. Parrots are very communicative. Whenwver he bites he hears 'no biting' He doesn't know he's speaking words, he just knows this Sound matches this action.
"Step up, good boy"
Yeah, but he doesn’t listen because he does it then says, “no chewin’”

@@sleepinglady2778 well i know one thing I'm not doing near a parrot
Greys tend to tattle on themselves when they want to do bad things, ours likes to yell "SKIPPER NO!" then bite you. He also quacks if he blocked by a door to a room he knows he's not allowed into, like we'll just let some random ass duck in instead
He connects the action of chewing with words that you say (no chewing). He naturally doesn't understand what you're saying, so when he chews and you're saying "no chewing", of course he thinks that what you call it. It's not like he tells himself to stop chewing. He doesn't understand your language and just blabbing things accordingly to what you've commented on some of his actions.
Our African Gray like to mimic the house phone ringing in the middle of the night. Then laugh maniacally when everyone ran out to answer.
Wow, lol your bird has a funny bone

Apollo must think the action of chewing is called “no chewing” since his owner is constantly having to scold him for munching stuff he shouldn’t be😂
@@syntex3664 Well yes I know that. I was just saying that it’s funny how he won’t say chewin on his own, but he will say “no chewin” since he’s only heard it as a negative action. So even when he’s by himself chewing something he’s allowed to he’ll say “no chewin”

He tells himself "hey! No chewing!" While he's chewing
"It's plastic". "These cheapskates didn't get me real wood".
Yeah, he really seems to understand what the words mean. Or he's just associated those sounds with those actions?
@Oatlord
African grey parrots can count a few numbers (I mean they cant do math, but they can learn 1-5, and what they mean), learn materials, actions, shapes, colors and objects. They also are self aware on some level. One parrot in a study wanted to know what color he was and seemed satisfied with being told he was the color "grey" and learned that color in other objects from recognizing he was that color.
Theres been a lot of research. They have the basic verbal skills of about a 4 year old. A 4 year old with ADHD, but thats about what they can understand. They practice talking like this the same way young children chatter to themselves when they play.
