Great! maybe if Deep Purple live in 2000's era their music will be like this! sound, equipment + Skill & energy from young Deep Purple! it will be awesome
@@Stargazer-px7fw but then again, stratovarius's version is closer to their power metal sound so a power metal fan might enjoy that one better than the deep purple hard rock version, i like deep purple's version more too though
@@Punttipate62 Agreed. Seen Stratovarius 2 as a kid in the 90s with the founding member Timo Tolkki and they were great. They were not the same when he left though and I somehow lost interest with the years.
I know this is 2 years old but in my experience, most chromatic lines are either completely chromatic with no regard to key etc or the are only chromatic around certain parts of a chord/arpeggio. It's an old trick to repeat specific patterns and outline chords, I find it in gypsie jazz (try playing a minor triad with the note below and 2 notes above for every note of the triad, bam, its a gypsie scale). I see him using groups of 3 chromatic notes a lot in this example, so if I were you, I'd figure out the chords, and try 2 notes above each note in the triad and see how that sounds. If it isn't right, try a note above and below each note of the triad etc. If I am wrong or have confused you, let me know! Another example that comes to mind is the way that Yngwie (I think its him if I remember correctly) sometimes plays diminished scales, adding a minor 7 and a perfect 5th, it makes it sound more chromatic and compressed (rather than wide) while still retaining that diminished tonality. Tricks like this make leads sound so much more interesting, don't they? :)
Matias is insane. Not just the speed and the articulation of the notes but also the perfect precision. unreal.
Yes and he really puts his own style and in the same time respect the original solo.
Matias is a Monster!
A Deep purple classic great song.
I love the tune of Matias, smooth as hell.
And who would say it... now Jens is Ritchie's keyboard player in Rainbow.
Wow 😎👍 I used to play this song in a band I was in in Nc. Good song and alot of hard work to pull it off right. Stratavarious killed it,nice. Love em.

JOrg Michael - The Monster
They played that sooo cool 8)
Each performance of this song makes us think of Deep Purple............
DEEP PURPLE ... INIGUALABLE....
Best version of this song. Even better than the original for my taste.
No, it’s not.
@@Stargazer-px7fw depends on what you like :)
@@Punttipate62 The best version is with Deep Purple MK III 😬.

nice cover
Now that's real shredding! Matiaz rulez!

How to change a guitar solo and remain really original!!!
When the time comes.. Only burn and ice and ashes
2:51 Can anyone tell me how he plays those chromatics over a classical chord progression >!??
Do you want to know how I achieved it ?? playing the guitar day and night, studying a lot that way the good musicians stand out ..
