Been to Pasture a few times, first time was very good, other visits were ok but not as good, to be honest would rather go around the corner to Asador44, not the cheapest place but the food and drink has always been great, maybe worth a visit and some new UA-cam content.
I have been to Pasture Cardiff & found it overpriced for just above average food, the tomahawk steak was very fatty. I didn't like the way they put a 10% service charge on the bill without telling you. I wouldn't go again.
Definitely agree about the service charge thing :( Unfortunately a lot of restaurants seem to be doing that now putting the awkwardness of requesting it to be taken off on the customer.
Pasture is definitely overrated and has become a bit 'chain-like'. Although it started out well, it's heading towards Miller & Carter's fast food standards (where I had the worst steak in this country, inclusive of Sizzling Pubs. Lols.). The shortrib ball starter things were dry and tasted of Findus Crispy Pancakes, rock salt was layered post-cook on the over-done, thin, off cut of rib-eye steak giving an unpalletable 'crust' which you had to crunch through. An inability to omit certain ingredients from a sauce/salad (e.g. fresh coriander, and yes, i'm one of those), smacked of pre-prepared ready meal efficiency... which is understandable in a chain, but not expected in a 'premium' place with extortionate prices. Try independent if you're in or around east Cardiff, (I'd advocate independent anywhere else for that matter): Ty'r Winch, Old St Mellons (best rib-eye I've ever had in the UK) or Cefn Mably Arms. Will never posture, pose or pander to the pretentiousness in Pasture again.
Ignore the haters, the food is amazing!
Can’t believe some people are moaning about 10% service charge! 😂

It didn't need music

Thank you very much for those recommendations!! I'll definitely check those out.
I wouldn't eat there as I do not enjoy the Bwib bwib music.
That's a shame! Maybe outside seating as there wouldn't be any music?
The music in the video is utterly dreadful, way too loud, and makes it difficult to hear your commentary. Had to turn it off after 2 minutes, sorry. 😞
Thanks for the feedback. I'll have a look at the audio mixing for future videos!
