- Fates in Dawntrail are ABSOLUTELY insane right now. You can level up insanely quick while you're in your insanely long DPS Queues.

The xp buff is from a special fate monster that spawn randomly, if it's kill it gives a 1.75*xp on next fate, and there's a bigger one that have more or less a boss lifebar that gives a 3.75*xp on next fate !
Imagine putting out a video on FATEs and not giving the wiki entry a quick glance for exact numbers and mechanics lol

FATEs have always been fun for me, super glad they are lucrative. Finished my Free Market achievement a few days ago. Been grinding away, made like 6 million gil on vouchers so far, plan on leveling every single job through FATEs.
Also the big change from EW is that Bonus Applied and Twisted Fate from Forlorn mobs also effects Stone drops, in EW it did not. So it benefits people who aren't leveling. I've had a Fate buff on a Boosted FATE and got a whooping 40 stones. It's nuts.

How are you guys enjoying fates in Dawntrail?
I enjoy grinding fates. It’s just chill content plus you level up jobs and collect bicolor gemstones which I need 50k+ of lmao to get the squirrel mount.

In my experience, they're only an efficent way to level up if there's a lot of people doing the fate so it can go by faster. Trying to do it solo is just wasting your time, you'll get more xp in one Trust dungeon then you will doing fates in the same amount of time. Then there's the hassle of having to wait for them to spawn, which is made worse if you have a large group doing fates and knocking them down quickly... self defeating really.
Then you face the fact that as the expansion goes on, the number of people doing fates will decrease unless there's some kind of event.
yeah, thats what ive noticed as well i kinda brushed over that but its still really good. Usually if youre in a zone you can make a party finder group which helps you get XP more easily since as long as your GROUP has enough percentage for credit you just need a single hit. But if theyre not spawning fast enough usually people will go to the next instance and work their way down
This is correct right now and for maybe one months. After that it will be as in shb and ew, no one doing them anymore and good luck reaching max rank. It is even worse in shb and ew where the last rank ask for an absurd number of fates
You're still doing the same amount of fates regardless of expansion. Dawntrail just splits the same amount of fates with an extra rank added
I do both, I do fates while waiting for dungeon queues, but the down side of fates is if it's not in the 90+ zones with tons of instances its too easy for them to dry up
yeah fates in lower areas are not the best but the best xp from 70-90 is unironically bozja/zadnor. Its early enough in the expansion still that people are in there levelling vipers and pictos
Fates are also fantastic to rank up your chocobo companion especially if you are in a group/train.
As a healer I don't know what these "queues" are everyone is talking about

@@zenwilds2911 So long story short... someone made a video during the media tour showing that the 91 dungeon could be beaten without a healer. This caused a healer player to post on the forums that healers shouldn't play anymore due to the state of healers.
I did fates in Endwalker and it was pretty decent but Dawntrail fates seem a lot better

Nope, dungeon spamming is still way more effective. You can do fates while waiting but i wouldn't spam fates if all I wanted was levels. Maybe use fates to get to lv91 for the first dungeon that's about it.
never said you should not dungeon spam. I said this is atleast a viable option if you choose you do not want to do dungeons.
