Hybe was a good company not until the management and Ceo changed. They only care about money. I understand its business but seriously?! They are taking care of real people! They aren't some robots! And the fact that they aren't doing anything shows.

I miss BangSihyuk as CEO. He cared about the boys a lot, he believed in them when no one else did, he trusted them to make their own music, he treated them well and many people called him the 'father' of BTS. The members always spoke so well about him and it seemes like they really had a good relationship with him. I know he's still chairman of HYBE but i liked it more when he was CEO. anyway I dont believe HYBE could ruin BTS, they basically saved Bighit and ARMY will always be there for our boys. Nothing can destroy them

Being a BTS fan since 2014, it's nothing short of a dream to see their success but also seeing how our boys have become big in the industry but at the same time very isolated from the rest, it hurts me.
I have sinking feeling that things are gonna get a lot difficult for them, I hope BTS and Armys are brave enough to face it, because at the end, we only have each other.
We're strong and together we can handle whatever comes our way 💜
In my opinion, it would be better if all of the members served in the military together this year because people would stop talking about it, and it's dangerous to really voice your opinion about military service in Korea because you can be easily hated no matter how big you are as an artist.

I agree. Everyone should go now. Don’t blame HYBE, SK government is dragging this out. This could have been resolved during the last administration. They don’t want to lose 4 billion dollars. They don’t want to lose their brand power. The new adm already asked them to represent the tourism industry again to bring the numbers up.
i honestly can't imagine hybe planning this. they prob think they need at least some members there to maybe create songs and for entertainment purposes. like imagine the group that brings u the most money and popularity is gone. they're pretty much depending on bts so they'd rather seperate them and still create content instead of sending them all away at once. as much as i believe that bts achieved more than any of the medal winners that got exempted from military and actually should then have the same right to also not go to military i also believe it will be such a bad look on them from many ppl in korea. even though koreans don't like being recuited they still think everyone should serve. and for some reasons athletics are pretty respected in korea so no ones gonna say anything to them but if its musicians i think they'll not look away. so image wise it'd be better if they serve but it'd be extremely unfair. idk why but somehow someway i kinda believe bts would not tell anyone they wouldn't go to military. they'd be the last ones to tell others they won't serve bc of their achievements and influence on the country as they're so down to earth and see themselves the same as anyone else but hybe is dragging it so much that the members get all the hate. bro.. armys will not stop supporting them even if they're not complete. its times like these where armys would even try their best to make the best out of the situation for armys and for the members.
I'll support them whatever they choose to do but in them going, I'd also rather they go as a grp too (it's also more likely that they'd could wind up in the same division by this way too, and it'd be a relief if they had another member with them to help each other--after hearing abt how some idols got harassed or were secretly filmed by other soldiers, the whole thing just worries me more).
Agreed. Plus they said they'd serve when the time comes. The only problem is the SK government dragging out this issue for years now. This whole talk about them getting a military exemption started way back in 2018 and until now, hasn't been resolved one bit. I honestly feel bad about BTS because I think they're waiting on the SK government decision as they really can't make plans on world tours as they have to consider if they'll be enlisted or not.
I am so worried about Jimin. He's had all this negative stuff going on and it's been weeks since he's given any news on social medias. I really hope he's taking some time to rest and that he's okay...
I think he’s just taking time off social media. Social media is bad for anyones mental health, especially idols. People say terrible things to them all the time online. I would rather him be offline and take care of himself than post all the time tbh. Even tho I miss him dearly :(

To be honest I lowkey fell off BTS after the company transition and just watched their comeback mvs and liked them for support but since I didn't like the direction of their music I felt like a bad fan (especially bc I've supported them for so long and literally have their logo tattooed on my body) and it hurts to see their reputation fall bc of poor management.

Me too. That’s exactly when I fell off too. I’ve been an army for like 4 years but I think I can notice the boys are probably burnt out. I think they should just serve and get it over with. After Dynamite their music just felt so artificial.

Hybe has slowly turned BTS to a bubble pop style as well, and as if they're dying to win a grammy and everything else. ugh frustrating
Why do people think it's all HYBE's decision on what music they do, I'm sure BTS have plenty of say in what direction their music goes on. They didn't do their English songs for the sole purpose of winning a Grammy.

I remember getting irritated with hybe pricing, how they were handling subsidiaries and overall conduct. Hybe Stan’s started attacking me and saying I was mad gfriend flopped or that I was insulting this godlike company. Hopefully kpop Stan’s can now see why we stan groups not companies. Hybe puts txt in small arenas to Jack up prices to 3000 dollars for tickets, they overprice items to the extent BTS are confused and they clearly disregard the talent of female idols and only know how to sell and ruin them for short periods of time. People need to face big hit as we knew it is gone and this monster is in its place acting like a new money mafia villain

Let's be honest. After Bang PD left, all of the artists reputation has been going downhill. Their health and safety doesn't even matter anymore to Hybe as long as the artists bring money in.

Everything changed when “bighit - music and artists for healing” stopped appearing on the screen.
My friends and I have been talking about this for a while now. I don't even follow BTS updates anymore, cuz what they have been doing lately has been so underwhelming (music-wise). It is obvious that behind the scenes someone is worried just about the money, not the quality and authenticity of their music. Part of the charm of BTS is that the listener could feel in their music the spirit of the members. Now some of their stuff feels kind of generic, and it lacks that vibe (or heart, might be a better word).
The only solution I can think of is to have Bang Shi Hyuk back as CEO as he really cared about the members and not only money. I myself am really worried about BTS's future. They are the only group where I get peace and they are the way of my escapism from the cruel world. I hope everything get's ok.

I’ve always found the whole worshipping a Kpop company thing to be so weird. Like these companies aren’t debuting groups out of the goodness of their own hearts. The main objective of any company or business is to make money and HYBE (formerly Bighit) is not or was not any exception to that. It’s just become a lot more obvious since BigHit has managed to expand to HYBE and acquire other companies and they want to hold onto bts for as long as they can as they are making them the most money.
I feel so bad for Jimin, the way when he got his mail stolen. That's privacy to keep with him and someone stole it from him, that's really messed up.

It’s just prolonging the enviable. They should serve and get it over with. The company still has other artists that are doing just fine on their own without the help of BTS. I’m sure the guys are exhausted, they deserve a break too before they go
I 100% agree with you!! First it gives them some type of break plus if they just do it now it will be over in two years so they should just start right ahead (esp since they had a pretty long hiatus, they had the opportunity to go but missed it)
I dont understand why everyone is pissed at hybe when all the other company are pushing this law change using bts as an example and hybe has done LITERALLY NOTHING other than let things play out, now their basically just asking the government to make up their mind on if BTS can get an exemption or not, Other than that BTS has always said they will serve when the country calls them to.

i had a bts phase for 3 years, then completely quit after their bighit channel started spamming txt, seventeen, gfriend etc videos. then today i felt like searching them up and this video popped up. it feels like a bad dream, never thought bts would have to share their mvs channel with other new groups. it was like yesterday when the only families were the solo artist person and bts in bighit. i dont care if im rude but i wish hybe never existed and bts and the solo artist were the only groups in bighit.

HYBE is a corporation and whether you like it or not their main concern is their financial status. if you want to view only BTS music videos, then subscribe to bangtantv. of course HYBE is going to promote other groups on their BUSINESS channel.

Ikr. Svt is my ult, I kinda felt happy that HYBE was taking over Pledis (cuz pledis is a shady company). But now HYBE has become as horrible as pledis. It feels like BTS has lost the originality in their music to constantly feed the American audience and also because of the huge pressure to always top charts and outsell themselves.

Big3 and kpop companies did meetings using BTS as a scapegoat to stop their idols from going to military which is why netizens attacked BTS not knowing sht about it when later it came out hybe wasn't a fcking part of that damn meeting, they went quiet. It's not just the "scandals" that are ruining them. For the last 2-3 years Hybe has gotten more and more money hungry and it shows. It shows in the quality of music and merch they put out (Be aside cause that was actually very thought through I'd say) and in the way Hybe is pushing them in the US market with everything they've got. Sorry but the western market is dragging them down. They always seemed so passionate about what they're doing (and with things like Be you can see that they still can be passionate) but when I see things like Permission to dance or just US interviews it feels like they're just selling a cheap product that sells well because of its name. It hurts to see this cause I love those guys and I'm happy that they're successful but the way this success is just milked by companies like Hybe it's not going to last. Bts themselves are burning out and I'm certain fans will slowly but surely start to hate that they constantly get milked for their money as well. I feel like for bts going into military service and then starting fresh with music and projects that aren't just directed to the brought western audiences but show passion and love might be the only way to save them from a huge downfall. Also it might be a chance for a rest for them. Resting from constantly being filmed and performing on stages. It might actually bring good things for them
That's what I always thought. I always felt like the western market did them dirty. Like in beginning when they were not given what they deserved, I thought they wont go work that hard for the US market again, but they still did their best for the us market and then I realized that it might be the company making them do that. Idk if it's just me, but here as Asians, it kinda felt like being left out. And I guess that's also the reason why many koreans are not very happy with them. You are right, they should complete military services and make a new start. That might give a break to their mental health as well as the toxicity going on in the fandom and among the general public.
I really do feel bad for the boys, like they came this far and worked this hard to face all of this? They really need a break from all these things.

Yeah tbh their new songs r not for me. It feels boring and same. By that I meant English songs that they r producing as the main tracks. Dynamite, butter and ptd sounds the same, feels the same. I don't like retro style that they r approaching. At 1st it was refreshing but now they keep doing that and it's boring. I miss their old korean songs with amazing and hard-core choreo. Now their choreo looks like they r done that way so that it can be for tiktokers

the crazy thing is as a "western" fan, I like their fully English songs least out of everything they've done. Songs like Black Swan, Pied Piper, House of Cards, Just One Day, etc etc. are so much better than the overproduced generic pop songs they're doing in English. It makes me sad

That is not true. They did Be, they prepared and did concerts without fans, 1 seul concert, LA concerts, Las vegas concerts. They were still doing Run bts. They did a lot of amazing songs: film out, some of them did OST songs, that a lot of groups would like to have in their albums: stay alive, with you, yours, christmas tree...Also, 5 members are working in their mixtapes

Honestly it's not just BTS who seems in danger because of HYBE.
Recently many Hybe groups were around some or the other issue and in the end its always the company's fault. They better change their working, otherwise Hybe won't last that long and it's popularity will drastically decrease. I hope bang pd nim returns because most of the issues started after he left

But it seems like Band PD doesn't really care abt the artists anymore. As a veteran ARMY I can only say that new fans should trust BTS and keep hyping the new album, these "scandals" always arise before comeback.
If we analize objectively, the kr government could have exempted BTS when they won artists of the year at the AMAs, the public opinion was favorable at that time and opposition would have eventually fade out however politicians have been dragging the issue and name dropping the group again and again that it has become so big now. The hybe spokesman did wrong but if he hadn't it would have been another thing because the public have seen BTS name in the mouth of so many politicians that they are relating the tannies to politics right now. The bills and the credits thing are just other tries from antis in this sentitive time.
Now, about the company BTS say they like it there, they work there and know more than us, so I won't listen to random people telling me otherwise. If the tannies were to say the company is bad then the hunt is on. BTS will never fail as long as ARMY stands behind them, positive public opinion is nice but remember BTS became big before the public even recognized them.

All of the members of BTS had a choice and they still have a choice to either stay in the company or leave however, they must have a lot of trust in their company which is why they’re not leaving. Every company sees their strongest performers as moneymakers which is why you see every single company except for YG and Cube using their members to the extent of issues occurring to idols whether it’s mental or physical. BTS care about army and of course their friends and their family they’ve always said that they were willing to go to the military however, its the government’s fault for not doing something sooner. Even when you’re looking at it now the boys have had a choice to take breaks for themselves however they just love writing music and making music so even when they’re Supposed to be relaxing they’re not.
So they should've been exempted from military just coz they won an American award?🤡😂😂😂😂Come on, be serious. Literally every other idol has had to serve in the military there should be no exception. People need to stop behaving like BTS are some kind of gods who saved South Korea and the world from self destruction 🤣🤣. They're not special and should definitely go for their military training. By law, a contract won't prevent them from enlisting, true, _buuut_ that doesn't mean that they'd be free from consequences in breaking anything in their contract that might involve their decision to enlist voluntarily either (bc that'd be a personal, private matter unrelated to the gov).
(Pls note this is just my speculation bc both sides have been silent abt how their handling the whole thing) But not to mention, that bc it's the gov bringing the whole thing abt exemption up in the first place, there could be smt else going on with the gov's side of things that could be affecting their decision too.

Ofc they have to bring it up since hype have must have ask if it was possible for bts to have an exemption based on their records. And it's not just their contract with their label but also their label's contract with Hybe that they'd have to worry abt. Bighit Music operates as an independent label for their music, but Hybe still manages and controls their marketing and distribution. For all we know, there could also be smt on Hybe's end that could be affecting their decision too (at this point).
As they are my ult group, it kills me to see they’re names hold such negative connotation with it. It’s been an unfortunate realization that Hybe is not the amazing company I once thought, they are extremely shady to the point that they’d take any opportunity to gain more from BTS’ name rather than let them grow themselves as artists.

HYBE never got involved with the military issue, all the other companys got together and asked for the postponment law and now the exemption law using bts as an example, hybe just wants the government to make a decision now. Ever since Butter and Permission to Dance came out, I haven't been following BTS as closely as I was. I wasn't a huge fan of those songs, as I felt they weren't a BTS song (and seeing as how those songs were written by someone else, I was right). Then there was the constant promotions of just those 2 songs for an entire year. With this new album being a "best of" album, I figured Jin was gearing up to enlist. When members of SHINee enlisted, the other members were able to promote solo activities, and that was what I was hoping for with BTS.
Before BigHit became HYBE, there was news of a Jungkook mixtape, a new mixtape from RM, some solo work from Suga, and colabs all over. I was hoping to see some of that when they could no longer promote as a group because of military service.
I want to love BTS the way I did. Everything feels disingenuous now because of the poorly executed English releases and the tight restrictions HYBE seems to be placing them under. And that HYBE seems to be focusing on their other groups (and their failed girl group)

I'm genuinely so worried for the boys. It feels so bad to see them face all these troubles after working hard for ten years. Idk whats happening behind the closed doors but if the boys do feel or realize that hybe is doing them dirty, they should not continue their journey with them. There’s only one way for them to live without any label controlling them and that is cancelling the contract or just not renewing it. Even GOT7 left JYP and I’m glad they did. In my opinion, they should leave the company before it’s too late and their mental health gets compromised due to the stress. Hybe really just wants money now. Most of the armys (including me) can tell that they’re not comfortable with the new style of music which is obviously targeting the international market. The new songs in the proof album were much better but their music in the previous year was honestly not the best. I have a lot of expectations from them as BTS is the only kpop group I actually stan. I’m afraid that this group might fall apart if they don’t get enough freedom to make music of their own choice. Many fans are leaving the fandom due to the change in their music which should teach Hybe a lesson. They look exhausted and sick of the lifestyle they have and deserve to live life their own way. I hope Hybe lets them have a break and allows them manage their problems themselves instead of controlling them.

I lost interest in BTS for about a year around 2022. I didn't really like their three English songs and honestly I was in my bad state of mind . So I just felt annoyed with everything. I saw their videos time to time . Life was normal but it was a little boring without BTS's funny videos .
Then I started working out as I was gaining so much weight and I fumbled upon my old music playlist . It was ' louder than bomb ' that made me remember the taste again. After that I draged out the songs I used to like and I literally cried when I heard ' Dream on /Zero o'clock ' , that song relate with everything I was feeling; depressed , feeling not good enough and purposeless. I began listening to their songs again. And I wonder why I decided I don't like them just because I didn't like a few of their songs ? I don't have to like all of them , I could just like one song and become a fan just for that . I love them because they are hardworking, genuine on their craft and humble even when they're where they are right now. They put out heartfelt music, lyrics and art . They have always been good enough artists. I was wrong to assume that they changed for the worse just because the three songs didn't match my taste. I left once but when I was back,I fall harder . I'm now a proud and happy fan of the boys again. I don't really care about their company or the politics surrounding them as long as they're not hurt . I'm an ARMY as long as they stay good as they're now .

As an American looking in from the outside the whole military enlistment issue is very sensitive. I do agree with the other comments its all about the money for the management company. If they are exempted from doing their military service i feel it would disrespectful to their fellow artists who have had to put their careers on hold for their military service. Hoping for a good resolution to the enlistment issue for both the artists and the management company.

I'm Korean and for some reason I got this in my recommended. I can tell you objectively how an average Korean feels about BTS & HYBE.
Discounting obsessed fans and haters, the vast majority of Koreans aren't that interested in BTS (the same applies to other K-POP idols, especially male groups). People rarely ever talk about them - except in the following two circumstances.
(1) When they win awards: people congratulate them and are often stunned by their international popularity.
(2) When the topic of their military enlistment comes up: people are divided, but I would say about 90% believe that exemptions should not be granted.
Other 'controversies' mentioned in this video (unpaid bills, the criminal guitarist, etc) - LITERALLY NO ONE CARES (It's my first time even hearing about them).
So my point is: as long as BTS members carry out their military service as required and not do anything stupid (like drugs or driving under influence), they 've got nothing to worry about.
I want to know like what happens if they are exempted? Like genuinely curious... I might think its a bit unfair for other big groups ( I won't mention any name) that have already enlisted.....(I am a non korean btw so I really have no say in whether they have to enlist or not cause I don't know the country's rules and the citizens)

0. Of course, logically speaking, everyone agrees that BTS will generate more value to the nation if they were to go on with their music careers.
1. However, we need to understand that this discussion is so much more than just "net economic value". It touches upon the sensitive topic of "Fairness".
2. The Korean law requires all men in their 20s to enlist in the army before they hit 30. Your personal situation has no say in conscription. Some might be finishing up their university education, others might be at the height of their career. All of that doesn't matter - you cannot avoid conscription.
3. Understandably, not many people want to spend two years of their youth in the military. (Especially if they are thriving in society)
4. Let's think for a minute: if BTS were to be granted military exemption, what would that decision entail?
5. That would mean that the government and the judicial bodies - whether they explicitly say it or not - officially acknowledge BTS members' time (and life) to be more valuable than other Korean men. All because they just so happened to 'make more money' and 'got famous' along their way.
Korean people are very very sensitive when it comes to "fairness". There's a historical context behind this, but I wont go in too mucn detail. Just understand that any breach in fairness - Korean people literally cant tolerate.
6. Now, you might wonder, " some Korean athletes and musicians were granted exemptions, so why can't BTS get one as well? "
7. To really understand this, we need to consider the cultural and historical background of Korea back in the 1970s. Back then, South Korea was still recovering from war, and had little voice & presence in the international society. So, the Korean government decided to honor olympic medalists for "making Korea get internationally recognized". Military exemption was one of the many benefits medalists received.
8. One thing to note here is that these athletes were exempted not because of their talent or personal achievement - but because they "represented Korea".
(FYI. In 2022, this law is under heated deabate, with some arguing: "Korea is relevant enough now, we dont need elite athletes anymore. No more exemptions!")
9. Anyways, BTS's Grammy nomination is indeed impressive, but it does not fall in this category of "national representation". Their road to success was driven by their personal & financial motives. Yes, they may have made Korea proud in the process, but again, that's just a positive side effect of their personal achievements.

I feel if they just stayed as bighit and didn't go to HYBE they would get more attention. HYBE are paying attention to all these new groups, almost forgetting BTS. I personally am so happy the guys are taking a break from group activities. I feel that they desperately want to do their military service - as they always have. They need a break and I do thing there are more things afoot within Hybe that are not good for the boys or their careers. It sort of feel a a bit like they are distancing themselves as much as possible. Their lives have not been their own for the past 9 years - they are at the mercy of Hybe management and while I believe that Bang loves the boys and cares deeply for them, I still find it strange that he stepped aside after the whole Ithica holdings buy up. There is something wrong with that situation. They don’t have the best reputation business wise and I kind of wonder if Bang regrets that particular decision. Time will tell. I personally have been with the guys from day 1 and I will support them on whichever path they take.

Glad to see that I’m not alone in my frustrations with HYBE. It’s one issue after another with them and unfortunately their artists are suffering the consequences as they continue to rake in the dough. I get that they’re a company, I’m not stupid, but they’re not just selling products. They’re responsible for the image and care of actual human beings. Back when it was just Big Hit you can tell how much Bang PD loved the boys. We’re they overworked and some other issues here and there, yes but nothing to the extent of this can of worms. To solve all of these issues is to get better staff, stop selling things for a ridiculous amount of money, give better treatment to their artists, stop doing shady things with their subsidiaries (cough GFriend and cough NU’EST), stop over auto tuning and processing the albums, stop s3xualizing minors (hacks up a lung in ENHYPEN and Le Sserafim), and learn to have better PR (hozpitalized in Kim Garam, Jimin, and military enlistment). Because they are so popular, anyone would do anything to pin point something, they are human, no one is perfect, but becuase of their success , it's must be overwhelming, I doubt they asked for this much fame, it must be so overwhelming for them. They are amazing people, not just by their music, and they broke ceilings and still stayed humble, and all they ask for is a simple life, having a family, etc.

Personally, I do think BTS should enlist. Blackpink has been on hiatus for 2 years and they are still the most relevant girl group, BTS won't be affected for only 18 months. Although what happened to Jimin is horrid, hope all is well.

I lowkey started stepping away from BTS recently. The ridiculous pricing for tickets and watching concerts online, making an album $70, they’re milking fans of money and I’ve been noticing it a lot recently.

we also need to think of this: Bighit entertainment was a relatively good company to bts compared to other companies. Bighit bought over source music and other big companies and combined it into HYBE. Bang Si-hyuk (bighit CEO turned HYBE ceo) then stepped down as CEO once this all was settled. After this happened shit started to hit the fan. Bighit is the only independent subsidiary in HYBE (smart move it seems). Bad thing I see here is: HYBE makes the statements and subsidiaries stay silent on the matter until HYBE gives the OK. Notice how relatively silent BTS is in recent years after HYBE?????
No statements, promotions exist but have gone down. No English songs promise was thrown out the window. HYBE is silent on any scandal that exists until legal action is suddenly taken. HYBE is to blame for this it seems to me. Silence from most of the artists, silence from the subsidiary companies because HYBE has control over them.
I hoped things would improve with Bang Si-hyuk on the steering wheel. We know how he was with BTS and bighit and how close they are. Instead the whole thing Bighit stood for didn't carry over at all. It's thrown out the window and going dark.
Companies need to make a statement atleast and then not this vague BS. They need to make it clear and official. BTS have said multiple they want to serve in the military and once they get the letter they will. This is all on HYBE not on BTS. They want to go it's clear they want to go they have said multiple times it's their duty as a korean citizen to serve in the military. Yet people seem to think they want this sudden exemption.
I want to say this is completely on HYBE and politicians making the talk about it not the members themselves. They never said anything about wanting to be exempted the exact opposite. As long as Jin does not get his letter to come and serve he won't go if he get it he goes I believe in that. Yet some fans and haters seem to only be able to blame BTS because popularity. They ignore BTS's own statements and blame HYBEs idiocy in them it's stupid.
If they do not renew their contract with HYBE I wouldn't be surprised. Not a single company to my knowledge has been able to handle a scandal properly and HYBE has handled it the worst. I just pray and hope we hear the news that atleast Jin is going into the military just to calm down this idiocy. They want to go and I want them to go as much as it pains me because I love them. 1. BTS have always said they will serve in the military when they are called, they've never asked for exemption and will not evade service if they have to serve. There is a big difference between being exempted by the Korean govn't and fleeing South Korea to avoid military service. How is it BTS fault they are being considered for exemption (which they more than deserve in my opinion)? I support BTS whether they have to serve or not. People act like it's such a noble thing to serve in the military, and maybe it would be if it wasn't something that was forced on most men in South Korea. I never hear anyone complaining about the men who are exempted and yet when it comes to BTS it's a big issue and it's unfair somehow. If people think it's unfair if BTS get exempted than I hope they make every male serve aside from medical exemptions of course.
2. Jimin's mail was literally stolen and his personal information was posted online and Jimin gets blamed? Makes no sense unless who want to bring him down. Not to mention the whole situation was taken care of before this information even came out. It's like people are trying their hardest to ruin BTS reputation.
3. That man isn't the only person who worked in Filter. Like the video said 3 women also worked on the song and a few other people. The song has been out for over 2 years now and it's Jimin's most streamed solo song on Spotify, he should be able to include it if he wants to. Imagine if we lived in a world if we boycotted every single thing that had someone problematic behind it. I don't condone that man's alleged actions at all, but why discredit Jimin and everyone else's hard work just because of this man. If you have such a problem with Filter being included, simply don't listen to the song.
Anyways BTS comeback is June 10th and I'm so excited and I hope it goes well. And even if Korean citizens turn their back on them they still have plenty of international fans who love and support them.

@@Im.me.hi. trust me, i think most armys would agree with Sharnanya. their newer songs don't give off bts. i am an army since 2015, always been supporting but i can tell if something feels different especially in their music. their music at this moment feels like it is trying to be as western as possible. these songs feel so extremely strange to me. i think there is masterpieces being locked in bts' pc folder. bts always changed up their music style and experiments so trust me it is not that. ppl enjoy listening to their songs before hybe more. they were simply better and feel authentic and raw.

The song that got me so interested in them is 'we are bulletproof the eternal' - I could really feel the emotion and love they hv for their fans and it really surprised me as to how much the song impacted me though I was not their fan n didn't understand the language.
I've explored their music and none of it- I repeat none of those songs were anywhere near the type that the other groups put out.
I don't know how to explain this but those songs had that shimmer in them that only BTS could pull off.
Now it feels like they're using a formula- like some repetitive lyrics or some kind of repetitive beat. Ok I'm not a professional but it seems like BTS's songs r losing their colour just to appeal to the western market - honestly I think BTS was successful because they didn't sound like the western artists but still had that WOW! factor to them and their songs. The songs seemed so genuine and beautiful- okay I'm ranting, I'll leave it there.

This makes so much sense. BTS was always outspoken about social issues as well, donating, and speaking out on stuff. Then the Ukraine-Russian war broke out and: silence. I was so confused, bec. not even Suga or RM mentioned in in any Vlive or post, which they usually do. I am more than convinced that they are aware of the situation and that they are upset about it, as well. My theory is that Hybe is silencing them from the top, but Lord knows why... And they are also still doing big businesses with Russia, as well. I don't know what's going on in the background, but I don't like this. :/

we shouldn't expect bts to speak up about every single bad thing that goes on in the world. they really dont often speak up about anything they do and we've only ever found out about their donations through the sites they donated to so they could have done that in private & other than that I don't see what they should do. everyone is more or less aware of the situation and trying to help, from what I've seen (my country has been & we made donations and sent clothes, food and hygiene things as a school & we have some Ukrainian students who came here for now). they also have their lives and I really dont think that the company has anything to do with them not speaking up. they're also just people and are doing what they can. they aren't politicians, they're musicians.
I think it's good to be aware of what they have spoken out about and what they haven't, but I have a feeling they're not going to say anything *directly* about the ukraine-russia war because it could actually put russian armys at risk. I don't remember when, but there was a situation in which chinese armys were slaughtered online for stanning bts. I believe this was after false accusations of insulting the CCP or something of that nature. C-Armys were literally being called traitors to their country for trying to spread the facts and defend bts. now imagine if bts openly stood with ukraine (or, against russia, as putin and the russian nationalists would see it). it doesn't take much to be suspected of or even arrested for anti-war activism in russia :/
a more likely situation would be similar to when we spotted the statue/art that was pro-palestine in a live. indirect ways that they can show their support. and of course, a lot of donations they make are private and we often find out about them much later.
people have to realise that HYBE is really not the best company. There's probably a lot of shit that goes down, they overwork their artists, make merch high-priced and all other sorts of things. people just get blinded by that fact bc BTS is in the company. At this point they are risking with bangtan's reputation, in simple words, for money. I hope they do better and genuinely listen to feedback and criticism given by people.
