Rob, once again thank you so much for this content. It is unreal for noobs like myself to try to learn. Love that you added that deployment section too like i mentioned last time.
Please continue these masterclass and list break downs. Fucking absolutely incredible work! I am information hungry and battle reps don't always convey the information you need to learn efficiently for specific types of learners. This is perfect.
This is already the most useful AoS series I’ve seen. Understanding how a list works helps you beat it. Could I put in a request for a Nurgle flies breakdown?
no exaggeration - this is the absolute best AOS series on UA-cam. You are so good at explaining the game in terms that I can understand. You’ve cleared up so much jargon I didn’t understand before. Thank you.
Loving this deep analysis videos, and as a Stormcast player, I greatly appreciate this one. I used to play a version of this list back in 2.0 (without allies though) to bust open Seraphon castles. Lots of fun! So much, that I kinda had to stop using it... Just a tiny note: Vanquishers (unfortunately) only get the banner bearer and the musician (and thus, the 5+ Rally) when they're a unit of 10 or more...But anyway, you, and everyone, take them because they're the cheapest battleline, soo it doesn't really make a difference. Thanks again for the video! Keep up the great work!
1) very thorough break down, excellent analysis of how to use/counter 2) unbutton that top button Rob, show us a little skin 3) in general love the continued refinement of your videos. Very tight and professional
This is an amazing series. It helps understand what an archetype does obviously. But the main thing for me is, that it was explained in such a way, that it helps applying this to lists, that are different but might do something similar

All right, I had to like it after the waking up in the middle of the night hearing. No no. Don't cast it.... Now imagine hearing somebody also saying afterwards I'm going to cast the comet next. Also excited about a master class in deployment. The production value of your videos now is exceptional so thank you for providing good info.
This is great: clear, witty, well-edited, strong production values and branding, and with lots for beginners to think about. It would be great if they could be accompanied by a short blog or written articles. Videos are awesome, but ultimately I'm always going to return to the written word rather than trying to fast forward through a video or podcast to find that one point someone made. No complaints (other than 'synergies' isn't a word, and is a terrible import from management consultancy. Fire it into the sun!).
Great content, really enjoying this new format. My only suggestion would be maybe to hear more from Owen. I know there's a seperate interview but a few sound bites of his key thoughts for this list would be nice.
Noted! The issue is that the interview really does that well and is a stream of consciousness from a gamer. He's very eloquent and it's worth listening too
Great video! Love this content - really helps some of us newer competitive players. Maybe a video on the various battlefield roles that units have? or general list building and list architypes?
idk if you consider it a bunker buster, but I've been running a Verminlord Deceiver, a grey seer with the skaven's master of magic command trait and the warp-lightning vortex. You use the deceiver for Dreaded skitterleap the grey seer putting it just outside of 6" rather than the normal 9" allowing it to reach deeper into the enemies backline. Then use the grey seer to cast the warp-lightning vortex and then can use the normal skitterleap to get out, and the skaven's master of magic allows the grey seer to reroll casting it does.
That was great idea with this videos - a lot of knowledge, nice to listen you, and i hope that will be more ;) I'm waiting for Tzeentch, my new army which i can't already play properly
Very cool breakdown, recently caved and pick up SCE since they have so many options and offer some options my army does not. They've grown over me over time despite the contrarian I am. Heywoah's video + basically being Einherjar and an underdog fluff wise makes them so much more bad ass. Just don't paint them gold.
This content is top notch, I'm excited to see more and considering donating. Side note I can't seem to access the website via mobile. All I get is a black screen on my S22
This is interesting. The lack of significant buff auras in the StD tome which I thought a weakness could actually be construed as a strength allowing a more spread out deployment with groups of units able to operate semi-independently since the marks from vows of the dark gods know no bounds. Or am I talking out of my depth.
Without dragons the Stormcasts ability to score battletactics in the new ghb are quite tough imho. Because they dont have enough useful booktactics. With a typical lord relictor general, "This one is mine" will also be almost unachievable.
As a Git, I can safely say wehatez those pesky comets! I have to choose between having galletian veterans and insta loosing to this list, or playing Gobbapalooza and Zarbag's company to be able to have some ablative wounds for my wizards. Excellent content btw!
Really interesting video, found as a newish player who rarely knows what their doing really useful. Is this list a sort of combo deck in Magic, using really powerful combinations to win the game.
At LVO i played hedonites vs a 5 Vexilor list. I took first turn and committed 2 keepers of secrets into the vexi-bunker. Amd spread out my army mostly. Predictably the Keepers didn't kill a single vex.. 6 wound heroes in a terrain feature and me not rolling 6s. He still had to vex-bomb the heck out of the Keepers, because they were likely to win the next combats otherwise. So i mitigated a lot of damage and had a good pace against the army overall. A Vexillor also survived like 14 attacks from Sigvald... can i please get some rend?
Thanks for this video really interesting watch/listen! Bit of an AoS noob (coming form 40k & Heresy etc.) I don't play tournaments but good to get an idea for my Stormcast list, I have one built already so punctuated that with some stuff out of this. I also have a Nighthaunt List which I painted during that time when we weren't allowed to leave our homes... Appreciate you're super busy, is there a plan to do this type of video for Nighthaunt at all? (Sorry if you've done it already and I haven't found it!)

@@TheHonestWargamer Thanks for the reply :) but the point is different? I mean it is still 2000 flat but was wondering if this could be played well with KTV issues
Awesome video! I'm so happy to see you follow my feedback about timestamping the video for ease of replaying purposes! The only thing I can contribute is that the Vanquishers can't take the musician or standard bearer unless there is at least 10 models in the unit. I hope you don't get too many comments on that 😅 The last thing to note is to discuss confusing rules that might be left in the original battletomes that are in the FAQ. An example would be that the battletome says ANY wizard can cast the Arcane Comet and was errata'd to be only Stormcast Wizards. (And I think that would be the only FAQ ruling in this particular list) Other than those, this video covers the general game plan very well and is very thorough about how each model plays out. I look forward to your next videos and I hope my feedback can further contribute to your work 😁
The official AoS list builder allows for musician and flag in 5 man units. The only requirement mentioned in the unit build is that you can only have 1 per unit.
@@MrOK-fx2ep Oh good to know. May I also ask which builder you’re using? I think what I’m using is bugged. I’m using the App and it won’t let me add the Musician or the Standard unless it’s at 10 or more models. It also says in the Warscroll, “1 in every 10 models in this unit…” so I assumed it wasn’t a bug.
