Really awesome video! Enjoy the historical reference. Its ironic that some people would say that stringing out lines of models is "gamey", when in reality thats exactly how actual battles were fought.
I've heard that so much, really anytime you do anything tactical I've found some people call you a powerplayer or gamey. I really dislike that. Play by the rules use the rules to win. Simple :)
Don’t ever stop making content, you’re a unique pillar of the community, you know your stuff and you’re entertaining and know how to appeal to the UA-cam weirdos
These technical videos are awesome, keep them up! Would love to see a follow up about deployment against different kinds of armies and maybe a bit more about the tricks of base blocking that you mentioned here.
Honest to gods, you teaching me to win AoS is just what I wanted in life, your work book is good but I learn better through watching and doing so this video is perfect! Please make more.
I'm still new to AOS and having trouble with unit coherency. In the example with the 10x mortek guard screening in front of katakros, with the requirement of being within 1" of 2 or more models wouldn't they need to be in 2 ranks of 5 models due to their size?
16' 21" - goes and reads 12.1 properly and has tiny mind absolutely blown. Hadn't realised that about piling in units that have charged, wow, wow. Brilliant video, as usual
Ive just started SBGL against my sons Ogor Mawtribes, These videos are awesome and have given me great ideas for my zombies and black knights. Thankyou
Loving the presentation and your style! More lectures need guitar solos haha New player here, so this is a great resource for how to deploy with future turns and win conditions in mind. 👍
Perfect video as always :) your greatest fan from Czechia :) - i would love to see in depth video about movement and also teaching when to commit and when not
Great video, provides what’s not in the rule book…How to play the game! You’ve already improved my game, so any other explanations of ideas I can try will be fantastic. It’s interesting you mention, knowing what your opponent will do, how do you assess your opponents army and determine what their key pieces are and how they are likely to want to play them?
Thankyou for reminding me that this game is a resource management/strategy game, been losing a lot lately and this made me think about what I've been doing incorrectly, turns out that's throwing my heavy hitters into a screen and forgetting about the objectives. Thankyou for this video
i needed this video a year ago when i started with my skaven, got beat up alot but now im rather decent at screening since its so important especially on skaven. still awesome to watch, i really love robs guide videos
Amazing recap. as a tzeentch player i love my endless spells and use those as screens as well. my friend playing SCE was always furious when he tried to charge with his Karazai and realized he cannot physically fir his base between my unit and an endless spell model
Fantastic video that explains the theory well, will be super useful for not only new players, but also more experienced players trying to improve their level of play! :) Thank you!
Great video mate. I can't say i've ever really used screens but this video has definitely inspired me to try both types of screening 👍 Keep up the awesome work dude.
Thank you so much for this! Yes it’s a super technical video, but I’m brand new to the game and this video just talked about what took me 2-3 years to learn in other games. Will definitely keep this in mind as I build my first list.
Great Video! this is one of those things that when someone asks you, its really hard to explain but you sort of intrinsically know, but this brought so much clarity to the subject. Really looking forward to more videos in the series! Awesome work.
I have really focused on making my buffs, debuffs, and health clearly represented on the table with thematic easy to read tokens. This above all else has made for a better experience for both me and my opponent. Could you make a video bringing awareness to this. 3 inch measuring guides for staying out of range during movement and 9 inch for summoning and deep strike
Late to watching this but really liked it. As ever, very clear for those learning and in particular the use of visual examples with measuring aids is so important. I'm much better at understanding things when I can see them, so this is hugely helpful. I'd really like to see one for shooting, as I still find true line of sight a bit weird and don't understand how you can screen shooting, as well as piling-in tricks and tactics. In terms of other comments...umm...love the commitment to checked/plaid shirts. Keep up the good work!
Finally! Another tactics/strats/I'm bad at warhammer so I gotta learn VIDEO. Great explainations! Maybe a video on army TEMPO next? I feel like thats a more big brain concept. Maybe a video about why you hate Warcry? As Peachy seems to think its the best game ever...
I've been looking for this type of in depth strategy and tactics, great video! Would love to see a video on command points and abilities. Why and when to use each ability. What factors do you consider when choosing to spend that precious CP vs save it for another layer ability.
@@TheHonestWargameryou should do a deep dive video on cover, terrain, and garrisons. Because we suck and are probably not utilizing/using them properly
These are your very best videos, talking through and teaching is super helpful. Bravo! Next perhaps a video on prioritising attacks? Something along those lines maybe?
How does this screening apply in Old World? Would love to see a video like this for there, it feels much different to a noob like myself, especially when you end up pursuing the enemy down farther into their lines? Love the videos!
Enjoyed this video and thanks for the clear explanations on screening and zoning. Are you going to do another one on zoning in AOS 4.0? Rules have changed and putting 10 models in a straight line isn't allowed anymore (I think). How do you handle the double file screens since they have to be close to at least two other models? Like you said in the video, charging units now have an easy time just turning around the screens. I play Gitz btw.😉
Wish i had seen this sooner. On one game my screens blocked the movement of my centerpiece, on another one y sent the centerpiece first and it just died 😅
Great video, explains everything really well, works so well for 40k too. Now I just need a video on how I write a bloody list for Iron Jaws as I'm thinking about dipping my toe into the world of AoS
No war but the class war!
forever
Underrated comment.
Squayr bast
Rob is my favourite breadtube creator
So true
This is useful information. Now I can lose on the second turn.
Glad I could help
You should teach people when and how to retreat. It is a powerful tool that too many people don't use.
Play Skaven. Learn fast.
Really awesome video! Enjoy the historical reference. Its ironic that some people would say that stringing out lines of models is "gamey", when in reality thats exactly how actual battles were fought.
Yeah I've always found that so odd when that's literally what armies really do!
I've heard that so much, really anytime you do anything tactical I've found some people call you a powerplayer or gamey. I really dislike that.
Play by the rules use the rules to win. Simple :)
I would like to see an in depth video on terrain placement. Great video Rob!
As a beginner, I second this :)
Third.

Transcendental video. Third eye opened. True wisdom achieved. 10 out of 10
Ive just started SBGL against my sons Ogor Mawtribes, These videos are awesome and have given me great ideas for my zombies and black knights. Thankyou
Really wish there were more videos like this. Movement should be critical to strategy
It is
I agree it is but I meant it’s not spoken about nearly enough in videos like these. People prefer to speak about army lists more
Very helpful. I appreciated the classical references and the reminder to communicate your intentions well with your opponents.
The best in the business. Never stop these types of vids Robbo!
This is legit very helpful. I'd never thought about screening out objectives before.
Not all heroes wear a hats, but you do!
- this is fundamental not only for new, but also "struggling players"! Thanks for explaining that!
Loving the presentation and your style! More lectures need guitar solos haha
New player here, so this is a great resource for how to deploy with future turns and win conditions in mind. 👍
Amazing video and pretty instructive! I expect more on talking on archetypes!
This is a great vid - i'm getting into Sigmar and really appreciate the guides! Nice one mate!
What about coherency rule? It looks like some screen units in the examples ignore it... is it gone?
So glad to see this content picking up from you rob. I still say this is what you were always meant for!
Perfect video as always :) your greatest fan from Czechia :) - i would love to see in depth video about movement and also teaching when to commit and when not
Excellent video. Would love to see more of this type of content.
The tag lines were a great idea. Made it look professional but the text added alot of humor. Love " Rob thinks you suck" 😅
Another segment that could be interesting is debunking each army, real quick what counters them, strongpoints, do's and dont's, key-units etc.
A good general rule of thumb is; A, what does the most damage, and B, what gives out the most buffs
This guy and his Grot Gang are Best-in-Slot
NURGLE MATTTTTT
Honestly Rob, these are the best videos! Keep on doing those please :)
Fantastic video Rob, really helpful and fun!
Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 great video Rob. Liked and shared it with my club colleagues. Cheers.
How can the second unit of gruntas pile in if they’re outside of 3 ? (Not being sarcastic, genuinely a bit confused)
fantastic video! wish it had come out back when I first started playing!
the screaming is just amazing, really liked the historic background
Thankyou for reminding me that this game is a resource management/strategy game, been losing a lot lately and this made me think about what I've been doing incorrectly, turns out that's throwing my heavy hitters into a screen and forgetting about the objectives. Thankyou for this video
Wow Rob where are those dragon ogors from in the first slide those are awsome!

I will try x

That's great. I might show that in another video if people want to see it
Fantastic video!!! Thanks Rob!!
This videos are awesome! We need one on deploying in the new battleplans
It's in the way
Great video Rob!
Really engaging, with good examples, references and personality.
Can’t wait til it goes live! Always looking for great game play and tactics instruction and information!! You always present this info so well for us!
Nice and simple break down. Many thanks Rob!
Love it , keep them coming Rob 👍
I love it Rob. Do make more you gorgeous beast.
I am confused about coherency now however, you can conga line units again?
I'd love more in the series for this one! bit of a different question but I'd love to know what models those are for the Dragon Ogres
Fantastic video that explains the theory well, will be super useful for not only new players, but also more experienced players trying to improve their level of play! :) Thank you!
Very helpful thanks, looking forward to deployment!

Awesome video. Really want more of those!
Oh that zoning tip would have been handy last Friday when a unit deepstriked behind me. He just fit into the back corner.
Not enough Harlan Ellison references in wargaming. Also this video is excellent. Thanks Ron.

This is such a nice and clear way of understanding something I didn't realise I had an issue with

I absolutely love these videos. Thanks so much for making it. And the editing was just phenomenal. A+
LETS GOO AND THANKS
This was a very good video. Can't wait to see more!
Keep meaning to try AoS, never got around to it though.
its a solid game
Such a simple thing to do while playing, but an oh so difficult thing to explain.
Well done sir for making this so easy to follow.
Grandmaster Rob! Look forward to more quotes from “some old dude”…. Nice scream btw
Rob, you do great work! Your strategy guide is a lot of knowledge in very pleasing form! Thumb up and waiting for more ;D
This was really great, your pacing and style of delivery is really engaging and I have issues focusing on stuff like this normally.
These technical/strategy videos are invaluable. I really hope you keep this series going, we need more content like this for AoS!
More to come!
Love this! Hope to see more strategy guides
More to come!
Great video! It would be interesting to talk about how to deal with well placed screens as the attacker too!
Thanks for everything you do for community, including the screams

More of this please!!
Always good to remember this stuff !
Great video, love these more in depth ones you do. More please!

Love the format! Keep up the good content! It's great for newcomers to our hobby and community

Awesome video, thanks.
Rob really is the best. Just the best.
Could you do a video on how to effectively and efficiently explain your army to your opponent?
Well done.
Dude, you are the best! Such a funny guy :) Im laughing more than i learn here :D
Really really loved this. I really appreciate these types of videos. I think deployment, and different strategy types (castle, pin) would be helpful
Thanks for the advice! :D
Nice video as always!!
