My grandmother would have us look into her hypnotic eyes and then she'd say, "OK, now hiccup. It cured us every time. I've been able to pass this trick along to a few people myself. The key is, the person relaxing to a point where they cannot hiccup if they tried. And they DO try, which is pretty entertaining!!
