  • Why do infants get hiccups? Are they just nuisance or are they necessary for baby’s brain development? Nathalie Kaufmann, Pregnancy and Birth Consultant and TCM Therapist, and Mathias Ritter, Researcher and Science Geek, give you the answer!
    First, they explain the many factors that are thought to cause hiccups in babies. And they also discuss why hiccups are normally not a warning sign, unless they come with other symptoms.
    Next, they discuss why hiccups, although annoying, may actually be a good thing because they trigger large brainwaves. In fact, in their video, they explain what these brainwaves do and how they could help your baby learn.
    Finally, they also explain how to stop baby’s hiccups in case that is what you still wanna do after watching this video.

    My baby had hiccups ALL the time while she was gestating, and still quite often as a newborn, but now at 17 months, I can't remember the last time she had them.
    All I can remember thinking about the hiccups is that they were adorable ☺
    Also I want to say hello 🤗 I watched your channel all the time when I was pregnant with my first baby, and now I have another on the way and look forward to watching and rewatching all your videos! I also recommend your channel at every chance I get!

      Same! I remember seeing your comments here when I was pregnant with my son. Just gave birth to my daughter a month ago (they are almost a year apart in age, both October babies). She has hiccups aaaaall the time lol. Congrats on your 2nd mama! Having 2 little ones is very fun and quite the blessing. ❤❤❤

      @@tryphenarose384 Wow, congratulations!! What a blessing ❤ a 1 yr old and a 1 month old are surely quite the pair to have. You get all the cuteness and rambunctiousness of the growing toddler and all the sweet beauty of a newborn. At 1 year apart I can imagine all the adventures they'll get into together in the coming years 🤭
      I'm looking forward to having two, my first will be just over 2yrs when the new baby is born.

      @@BasedZoomer Awe how fun! Yes, in having 2 I've realized how easy newborns are (unless you have a colicky baby I imagine, which I never have). My daughter just sleeps and eats for the most part, while my son is the one I really have to start keeping up with. He just wants to get into everything lol! Hope you have a healthy pregnancy and a safe labor and delivery. God bless you and your little ones dear. 🙏🏻❤️

    Can you speak about infant dyschezia? My baby cries everytime he is trying to have bowel movement and I wonder if this is what he has. He is 5 weeks old and has been going on for a few weeks. He also hiccups but doesn't cry during this much

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Рік тому +1

      Hi there 😘,
      we would do the following:
      1. Have a checkup with a doctor! Let them confirm that there is no underlying medical reason why your baby behaves the way he does.
      2. Try this treatment: ua-cam.com/video/osQtHkAaLaI/v-deo.html. It helps balance the baby's digestive system. It is often all that it takes to make him feel better... Maybe it helps your son too?
      We hope this helps! 😊

      @Darknesssleeps he is 18 mons now and passed this stage. It only lasted about 2-3 weeks but it felt like forever!
      I do not believe it was constipation since he was very regular. According to his pediatrician he was learning how to push and was tensing up and causing himself difficulty

    Hi my baby is 36 days old but silver Russel syndrome any treatment can do

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Рік тому

      Hi there 😘,
      we are very sorry to hear that... ☹️
      Unfortunately, there is no way to "reverse" the syndrome because it is basically a problem that happened while your baby was growing in your womb.
      There are, however, treatments to help your child with their development and growth, including nutritional therapy as well as hormone therapy. However, these are things that your doctor should inform you about because they very much depend on your child's specific case...
      In addition, there are also lots of therapy forms such as speech therapy and even early development programs to help your child!
      So, please talk with a pediatrician about these things! Ideally, you look for someone who specializes in treating the silver Russel syndrome...
      We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

    Hi.
    My baby is 6 months old. I started giving him homemade Cerelac. He vomits everytime he eats. What could be the reason?

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Рік тому +1

      Hi there 😘,
      first of all, please check with a pediatrician if there are medical reasons for that!
      If there are not, then the problem is most likely related to the spleen. In TCM, the spleen is responsible for extracting energy from food in order to provide all other organs with that energy. If the spleen cannot do it's job, it will affect the whole digestive process. As a result, babies often vomit...
      Try this treatment twice a day: ua-cam.com/video/YWHV-ABoq94/v-deo.html. This will help "repair" his spleen, in case that's the problem.
      In addition, try the following treatment twice a day too: in the morning and evening. You can combine it with the first treatment: ua-cam.com/video/osQtHkAaLaI/v-deo.html
      It will balance baby's digestive system, in case that's where the problem is located...
      Please let us know how it goes!

      That said, try a more upright breastfeeding position! It can be a big help to prevent that baby gets hiccups from swallowing too quickly... We show you such positions in this video: ua-cam.com/video/sRgAB2sBmVQ/v-deo.html
