I’m a 20 plus year contractor with some advice. When hanging drywall, always hang the ceilings first and then the upper walls. Life will be so much easier. Also, there is a reason to stagger your joints. If and when cracks form, the don’t go the entire length of the joint, they will stop at the staggered joint.
Jake Sales sorry, I didn’t realize that you had responded. There are many different kinds of adhesive that you can use. There is no such thing as “Stud Adhesive”. There is “Drywall Adhesive” though. You can always used “Liquid Nails” but most people don’t use it correctly. Actually, people don’t use most adhesives correctly. I even did before I was taught the correct way. People glob the adhesive on the one side of the adjoining parts, then they sandwich them together. The proper way is to apply on both parts, put them together, take them apart and then put them back together. If you do this, it will be a cold day in hell before they come apart. You also do this with your drywall. Apply the adhesive to the rafters, in which can be messy but necessary. Also apply the adhesive to the drywall back. To not waste adhesive, I measure where the rafters cross and just apply there. I install the drywall to the rafters, separate, put back and screw it. It seems like a lot of work but I have drywall ceilings that are 18 - 20 years old with no sag. Also remember, when you paint the ceiling, you will be adding weight.
Nice, just a tip next time you're hanging drywall on the ceiling, make a T with 2x4's & after you get the sheet of drywall up pull the T to hold it up, then you can take your time putting the screws in.
If I spent half as much time working on making things as I do watching folks do it I'd be good at it. That being said I dig your style sir, subscribed!
Dude, I would be a master machinist, could build furniture and lay tile and drywall like a pro...alas, i just watch. Then again, i can't afford a piece of property to place something like this anyway.

You, my friend, are a hard working genius. I know that it was hard work, but the outcome is great. You should be very proud of yourself youngman. I have subscribed and continue to watch your progress.
Hard work yields results. From the cheap seats and as a former painter, you may consider painting ceiling first. Always "top down, inside out." In a perfect world thermo bridging and maybe a vapor barrier are whole other things to consider. Not to mention sound dampener, but more coin. Enjoy and looks good. Thanks for sharing.
A few minutes in I was thinking..why not put your studs in the center of the bays to get total coverage. And then I went back and saw you actually did! Smart man.
@@WobyDesign hence the use of a deadman, with it you don't need strength. It's like an having an extra set of arms holding up the board. I suggest a 2'x2' square of 1/2" plywood, screwed onto end of 2x4x8' (1/4" round over top edge, router)
Yeah, I saw another one of his videos where there are like 2 levels of 4 containers each in a side lot next to a warehouse or something. Guessing the property owner rents them out. I think he said it was much smaller than his old shop but also *much* closer to home
That's really sick!! Love the way it looks in the end and how clean!!! Is there a reason for not having the electricity implemented behind the drywall?
@@Aussiehomestead1965 Theloremistress meant the space between the insulation an the container. Idk what climate you live in, but that's a typical mold trap for regions with seasonal temperature and moisture changes.
Container looks good. Any reason why you didn't go with plywood over the drywall? The plywood would allow for installation of stuff anywhere vs only on the studs. The electrical shock was funny. 👍

Great job ...that is by far the easiest way to insulate and dry wall the container. Thankyou Thank you...you did an awesome job.... you made it easy. What kind of tool was used to cut the metal to add the fan. I prefer using that then welding
Love it! I would have done it with plywood boards but I if you want to have single colour walls, then I guess that's the way. I'm looking forward to seeing the next part. Keep it up, man!
This is just so freaking amazing to watch !!! I'm impressed that your shop is going to fit into this space. Can't wait to see more (and maybe feature some donuts haha) In any case, Toby is a Woby
The only thing I would have done differently was recessed those lights in the ceiling and laid the electrical while framing. I’d probably use a window AC unit too because I’m boogie like that. Great work though!!!
Should have used spray foam or at least cut/formed foam glued to the metal sides - you will get issues with condensation with the air-gap behind the insulation and with no tape on your drywall seams you will get some cracking. Nice neat little shop though.
Nice. Next build though put your drywall on the ceiling first then butt the walls up underneath it leaving the space lower also making it easier to mud and sand it. But you've probably already figured it out after you did that.
Next time you are building out an empty space like that with nothing in it use a paint sprayer instead of the rollers. Much faster and easier. Since nothing is in there no worries of paint overspray. Also when hanging drywall on ceiling can make dry wall supports out of 2x4's T shape. Slightly longer than needed so you can wedge under drywall sheet.

Out of curiosity, what did you do to prevent moisture buildup between the container and insulation?
No one answers this. 2" deep spray foam seems to help.
