  • I had to leave this boiler in pieces, it was meant to be a service but as we all know, servicing never goes straightforward when you need it to. Especially when you're on a tight schedule!

@@cputilitysolutions what he said , i do try and keep service kits. bearing plates included. witch are not in the service kits weirdly. maybe its something bosch needs to look into. but saying that you look at a bearing plate it will look ok. not hard no splits..................yet it trumpets. i leave all old parts with customer but mark new and old parts. just so you know. and yes i have had that happen. new pcbs being swapped out in rented houses etc,

@@markchristohperowen6806 yep always a difficult conversation to have when "it was fine before you touched it". I always put in my service disclaimer that any additional work found on inspection would be extra

    Tip for future
    1. cdi condenses- put a small blob of molykote on the end of the trap tube, it will then slip easier through the bigger flexi hose.
Tip 2- brush through the cell fins before you wash down the top, then use your compressor to blown through the fins, otherwise the cleaning brush gets claggy with wet silt.
Tip 3- remove the electrodes before you wash through the cell, if they get and stay wet you might get an EA fault.
    Good service though. 👍🏻

You have done an excellent full service.
You left nothing to chance and even changed the condensate vessel 'O'rings.
The customer is very lucky to have you
    as his gas engineer.

Excellent in depth real time service❤❤ well done Chirag. What a faff of a boiler considering it doesn’t have some of the combi components😂

25:48 - the smaller inner tube of the syphon has a function on that trap design, it helps to aid the syphonic function of the trap :)

Had one yesterday, Ideal Logic, flue tube cracked and when I got it up and running it was constantly farting on low fire. Ended up taking the burner back out and washing it. Still need to go back and replace the flu tube. Thing is I was working Saturday so I could catch up on work 😂😂

Silly season is officially upon us 😂😂 the repairs I can cope with, it’s when the service or repair turns into a boiler swap. Worcesters always try to self syphon just as I have the trap half way over the PCB. One day I will get into the habbit of getting the wet vac on it first

What was the muck in the condense trap at 15.00? Why not tell customers to remove cosmetic enclosures they have fitted from around boiler casing before your arrival. If you attempt to remove and damage it, you be liable.

It's aluminium oxide from the main heat exchanger. Customers may not be able to remove fixtures around the boiler, if it's not too much hassle I'll do it but always explain that if anything gets damaged I can't be held responsible. Most customers are understanding of it 👍🏾

Why would you have to replace the prv if it tye prv pipe was wet?
Do they often stop closing once they have been letting by?
