Just found your site yesterday and completed all seven videos this morning. I have a 65 2+2 Mustang that I have owned since 1976 and last drove the car in the 80’s. The car has always been garaged since I have owned her, washed one time and never rained on. Long story shortened; I began taking her apart and have not worked on the car in several years. Have bought many NOS parts from a local (now defunct) Ford dealership as well as purchasing over $10,000 in additional parts several years ago. One of these days will start rebuilding her.
Very good presentation. I like it when you show things going wrong and how to fix. Real world situations are the best learning tool. Thanks for sharing.
I used to have a 66 fastback about 35 years ago. Pretty much decided I want to find a rough one and do a full tear-down / build-up. Do I know how? Nope. But your series is really inspiring me to give it a go, so thank you. I’ll do as much work as I can then outsource the rest. Video updates please! 😎
Thank you very much! Please help me share and get the word out! I will be doing give aways to subscribers and folks who share soon. I haven't announced it yet though.
Hi, Don´t know your profession and knowledge to decide accurate MC, but i have a 69 Camaro with disc/disc w 11" booster on, but running loopy cam, so i have bad vaccum, about 10-14hg.
I did not install the new hard lines yet. I'm ordering pre-bent lines new. They are cheap. It will be in a video soon with the install of a new brake master cylinder as well.
Definitely not complete. Lots more to come. Just got all the rear brake components in the mail. New floor pans just arrived also. Lots of body work and hard lines being replaced. Stay tuned!
That’s pretty normal for CJ pony. In the past. However, I think they’re better now because I believe Holley bought them. So perhaps the information now that you’re putting out to the public about CJ pony is incorrect. It happens with all distribution centers. the bottom line is we order these parts from distributors. Most of These are just fender type companies that don’t make this stuff and they have nothing to do with manufacturing or where they get it so that shut can happen with all distributors even Kentucky mustang NYP, summit etc. it’s a battle just like restoring a car. CjPony prices are also more expensive than some. But never buy kits from distributors in less they already have everything in a box. Bottom line.
Summit racing doesn't have a user friendly site like CJ Pony Parts unfortunately. The prices might be a dollar or two cheaper but they do not specialize in this car. CJ does. I'll stick with Summit for my Silverado stuff.

Heck yea. I put the car project on hold. It’s been a very busy few months for me. Updates soon tho.
LMR is the best with better prices then CJ or the rest and they have fast shipping. Love your videos on the 66!
I really enjoy and appreciate your videos for this project. I am doing pretty much the same project with a coupe. Too bad CJ, off to shop LMR.

I’m so glad to hear the videos have given you the confidence!
Glad to see you back at it. You look happy to be working on this thing.
Absolutely! Covid has just halted so much progress on things.
Great vid. Lots of detail.. Thanks for your hard work
You definitely deserve more subscribers

I love the extra insight on this. I was set on power brakes, now I'm not. Going for manual brakes.
I hope the motor has a late 302 crank. That flywheel is for internally balanced engine.
Great video! Very informative.👌🏾
What you have there is a 67~68 8” axle. May have fitment issues with the wheels cuz that axle has a 2” wider track. Order 67 U bolts for the axle.
Nice video... I like the realness. When you drop shit like I do it makes it relatable lol... subscribed
Just keeping it real. Lol. I screwed up my staircase today on a video I'm working on. I'll have it out soon.
Still working on the 66? Cliff hanger with the U bolts!
I’m actually done working on the car. Life happened and UA-cam got put on hold. Sorry about that.

Yes a cam will definitely affect your vacuum and brakes. Might need to upgrade your brake setup to get back good response and pressure.
Awesome build series, just watched all 7 parts. Any updates coming?
Soon! I've been pretty busy. Trying to find time to update! Stay tuned!!
How’d all those brake lines come out that you flared for the brake upgrade. That wilwood master cylinder is pretty bad ass...good choice!

What size of bore will you recomend for my application??
Bore of what?
It has been awhile since we visited the Mustang. Is there anything else on the build plan? Or, is the project completed?
Definitely not complete. Lots more to come. Just got all the rear brake components in the mail. New floor pans just arrived also. Lots of body work and hard lines being replaced. Stay tuned!
What's up with the build?
It's coming along. I had to stop with the video log due to heavy work load. I'll get an update soon.
he firewall where the master cylinder mounts is very weak on my 70’. I recommend reinforcing it
Seems pretty solid on this car. I'm under the impression 66 is a different design.

Summit racing is a better place to buy parts
