- I've never really played a LEGO Marvel game. Not LEGO Marvel Superheroes 1, 2 or Marvel's Avengers, and I feel as though I'm missing out. Today, we're going to see if I can 100% all 3 of the games in under 1 week. It'll be a tough challenge, but I think we have this in the bag.

Avengers handheld is worth it except for no collectible map in hub world. Yes it has a hub world
Actually, the reason that one shouldn't take an elevator during an active fire isn't because the elevator is dangerous, but because it needs to be available for the fire department if they need to quickly get to the top floors. Obviously that changes if the area of the elevator is actively on fire, but if you're disabled or otherwise incapable of taking the stairs, the elevator is a viable means of escaping in the event of a fire.

i was gonna say actually lego marvel 2 is great, but in all fairness i've not played the actual levels more than once or twice years and years ago
i had alot of fun with the other two games and then when it came out i didnt even manage to make it past the first 5 levels
Same, I think I only completed every level (including the Gwenpool levels) only once and then I just let the game collect dust for like 4 years.
I did f*ck around the overworld a lot, though. It was just too fun to walk around as Star Lord listening to Mr. Blue Sky
After playing LMSH 1 i thought all games are on same level, so i bought all three on sale. Big mistake.

It really is a great game. Definitely overhated due to nostalgia toward the original. I honestly can’t think of which I prefer. They’re both different and I really enjoyed each one
Lego Marvel 1 is absolutely one of the best Lego games ever, but I do want to go to bat for Avengers. Yeah it's 50% based on a bad movie, but it's enormously fun, even with the limitations of being MCU-based. Marvel 2 has a similar restriction, being so obviously lacking the characters that Fox had the movie rights to, but it nonetheless feels much more hollow.
I think the way it shakes out is that Avengers is based on the movies, and it has pretty much everyone from the concurrent movies available, along with a bunch of comic characters. Meanwhile, Marvel 2 is based on the comics, but it doesn't have all of the iconic comic characters because Ike Perlmutter was butthurt that he didn't have the movie rights to them. Bruh, I don't care about the Inhumans, I want Deadpool, Magneto, DOOM, and Phoenix back.
Also Marvel 2 got rid of the Iron Man suit mechanic that Marvel 1 introduced and Avengers perfected, which made Tony one of my favourite characters to play as in the previous two games.
Yeah I think I'm gonna stick with Marvel 1, Avengers, and DC Villains for my Lego Superhero games (I do want to get Batman 2 for something bigger than the 3DS but I don't have it yet).
Age of Ultron is not bad, if you think that then you will not see it again and even more so when time passes it is appreciated more

This should be classified as a method of torture. I can’t believe this isn’t a crime.
Your complaints about Lego Marvel 1 are almost entirely a skill issue. I've played for 40 hours on the Steam version, never crashed once. Lego Batman 1 by comparison crashed twice in 5 minutes of gameplay, till I turned Vsync on, which is stupid. You're handicapping yourself in the races by using terrible vehicles, and the reason you think the flight controls suck is because you're used to different controls. I hate the Lego Batman 2 flight controls, they're fiddly as heck and every time you try to approach a building to land, it automatically pushes you away. But other people are more used to them, so don't hate them as much.
Conclusion: skill issue

@@bd1pTo come to your defense here I crashed many times too especially at the part where you have to get to the jet. I found that not playing as Hulk won't make it crash.

Unpopular opinion: Lego Marvel Avengers is my favorite of the Marvel games.
This opinion mainly has to do with my love for Elizabeth Olsen and Scarlet Witch, but I love the game regardless.
The game is a lot of fun, and I'd recommend it.
There's no such thing as a bad Lego game but Lego Avengers is definitely the weakest of the the 3 imo

The missions you get after you unlock Deadpool are so funny, with him no king the game itself and making fun of the player. Those were my favorite.
Those complaints on the first game is just a skill issue or something other people didn't experience lol
agreed. using the jets or regular cars during races is handicapping yourself. do the ghost rider quest and get his bike or get hawkeye's hoverbike. those make the on-the-ground races so much easier.

When I played this game I was 9, I was bad at the flight and driving, the races helped me learn
I shared the crashing issue when I first played it. But that's definitely just a PC issue. That part of the game where he kept crashing at the jet will do that constantly if you play as Hulk, you have to switch as fast as you can.

This video is the prime example of why lego should never have been given the ability of speech. I personally didn't have this reaction when playing the first one, but I ABSOLUTELY did the second one and I could barely sit through it.
my opinions on 1 and 2 are like completely flipped from yours, 2 is overall pretty solid, pretty fun, a lil slow in places. 1 has like 2 levels that aren't mind numbingly boring, the open world stuff is all also super boring and the races (and flying mechanics in general) are absolute hell on earth. avengers is like a top 3 lego game for me tho so glad to finally see it acknowledged as the best of the 3

Honestly, just because you don't like a game doesn't mean it's bad because Lego Marvel 2 isn't bad and if you don't like Marvel, don't complain every second about nonsense.
My bro and I like to casually speedrun Lego games, mainly the classic ones. One day, we decided to speedrun Marvel 1, but at the 8th gosh darn camera pan in level 2, we'd had enough and just quit.
Age of ultron it severely underrated its not that bad
And the original Avengers is overhyped because it’s the og. To me they’re both good but not necessarily great movies.

Yeah, it kinda feels like they focused more on the overworld than the levels in Marvel 2. But the bossess in Chronopolus just suck, like the guy in Wakanda had his minionions spawn in really weird places for me, so I kinda just had to fly around looking for them.
The camera panning is a general problem with many modern lego games, but yeah LM2 is one of the biggest offenders.

You should do a video going over the Lego marvel timeline like you did with the Lego Batman timeline. There is evidence connecting lego marvel avengers to the marvel superheroes games so they’re in the same continuity. I think it would be a good video
Another very fun thing about Lego Marvel 2 that you missed out on by turning off dialogue is that it was developed during a video game voice actors' strike, meaning none of the cast from the last two games return. I think that a lot of the new voice actors are miscast and grating to listen to in these roles.
The voice cast for superhero’s 2 might be the worst thing about that game, literally every character sucks so hard
I think that crash with Wolverine and the Quinjet kept happening cos you were The Hulk and the game tried to put you in the jet. Problem is Hulk is a Bigfig so couldn't fit which made the game have an aneurysm and crash.
It worked when you were Mr Fantastic cos he's a normal Minifig.
props on finishing the challenge, i've personally been working my way through 100%'n every lego game in order and i'm currently on lego lord of the rings but thankfully it'll be a while before i play MSH2. i also may have done MSH1 out of order and i actually thought it wasn't that bad to 100% atleast much better than lord of the rings which has been taking me over a month to get through

infinity war,deadpool and loki in ok? civil war,endgame, no way home, deadpool 2 ,age of ultron shang chi in dogwater? one of the worst tier lists I have ever seen
I didn't hate LMSH2 as much as you did, but I'm only now realizing just how objectively bad it is
I had already noticed a few issues while playing (especially the boss fights), but a lot of them just flew under my radar, especially the camera pans
But tbh I'm pretty familiar with Marvel (I literally bought the game just because Gwenpool and Nadia van Dyne, two characters I love, are playable) and I spent more time in the overworld than in the levels, so I guess that eased the pain

Consider yourself lucky. When I was playing lego marvel 2, I crashed at the end of the final vehicle mission. When I restarted, the vehicle wasn’t unlocked. It was still showing on the map but the quest npc wouldn’t spawn when I went back there
I had something like that happen in Lego city undercover on literally the last collectible in the game
...I ended up using SAM to get the 100% achievement lol

This is what my opinion on the games are:
Lego Marvel 1 was good overall with a good character roster but had flaws because of the old mechanics and the races. Also had the only big fig customizer in lego games.
Lego Marvel 2 was slow and boring to get through. However it had a good open world and decent character roster. Also had mostly the same character customizer as the one in Lego DC Super Villains.
Lego Marvel Avengers was good, not slow. Had the introduction of a few unique mechanics like the henchmen call (as far as I know). Characters were decent and had the best character swap animation for most of the Iron Man suits. Customizer falls flat compared to Lego DC Super Villains but it's alright.

My average completion time for LEGO games is 25-30 hours, give or take. Only exceptions are the simpler LEGO Movie games (Movie, Ninjago, Movie 2) at 15 and the overstuffed Dimensions and Skywalker Saga at over 90. I'm still waiting on the next game but all we have is a rumour it's of a major IP while other studios are doing LEGO games, such as a racer, Fortnite of all things and Horizon Zero Dawn..
Lego marvels avenger's is underrated it's a amazing game but it's overshadowed by marvel 1 and 2 because ppl constantly either are loving marvel 1 or hating marvel 2 and just ignore avengers
Such a shame about MS2. The character creater's EASILY the best in any LEGO game and I remember the hub missions being fun, but I think that says a lot about it that I preferred dicking around in menus and doing fetch quests to playing the actual levels.
I think LMSH2 created a blueprint for how a good character creator should look like in a lego game and DCSV perfected it

But then again, I despised all races in LEGO games in general back when I played it originally.
Always hated anything timed.
Also for some reason I remember really not liking the final boss in the first game, though I can't remember why, and can't bring myself to go back and finish it again just to try it myself to find out.
The races in marvel one are super easy, just use one of the collectible cars bc they’re way faster, and the flying ones are way easier just with a flying character

Literally went on a nostalgia trip this week with Lego Marvel Superheroes. Bought it and tried to 100% it, but the game kept crashing and it eventually corrupted my file on my ps4. shame

I hate that less than 10 minutes in I get attacked for liking Twenty One Pilots.
I think he forgot that these games are meant for a younger audience that may get confused if the game doesnt show them what needs to be done. The first time i played the first lego batman when it came out, i was stuck on the first level for almost a week because it didnt tell me i had to break the fucking trees to get the suit for robin so i could do the rest of the level. The next level took me three ish days because how was i supposed to know that i had to use a batarang to break the fence. The game took me six months to beat because there was barely any guide to what to do. The games having pans to what you need to look at and do is a fucking gift to people who dont know wtf we need to be doing when half the screen is studs and explosions and like 5 character CPUs running around

I tried something similiar in a month, but Lego Marvel 1 decided to get bugged preventing me to unlock a lot of characters and vehicles, so I can't get 100%

As someone who also played in the last year or so Lego Marvel Superheroes 1 + 2, It was a pain in the neck compared to other lego games I've played like the original Lego Batman or even DC Supervillians. I didnt get any bad crashes like you did but it was tiring that I ended up not playing it anymore when I could be playing anything else. I love the world and was lucky enough that races bugged out a few times for me (Specifically Blade's) to cheese them or just looking up a guide to help me. My one dislike for the 2nd game is Gwenpool, I normally love the character but I wished they got DP again to do those bonus missions, at least getting the red bricks was MUCH easier in that game.
My ranking of these games, best to worst to 100% is as follows. Marvels Avengers, superheroes 2 (only because the flying controls are way better), then Marvel superheroes, because the flying controls absolutely suck and some of the gold bricks and character tokens can bug out sometimes for seemingly random reasons
I never played the second one, and god damn am I glad of it after seeing this.

Lego Marvel 2 is such a disappointment. I don't like that so many characters are based on their MCU versions. And they got rid of all the mutants and F4! The open world is such a grind too.

I almost 100% Marvel Super Heros 1 as a kid on the xbox360 and all I had left was with 2 gold bricks left, the stupid ladder climbing thing thats supposed to spawn one, which would never give me the brick when I completed it and the other one was a true hero badge I negleceted on purpose But my disc courrpted and became unredable after I spent an hour trying to re trigger the brick in the overworld
I may not agree with your hatred of Lego Marvel 2, but mad resepct for 100%ing all three in so short a time period. As someone who's also 100%ed all three, I know how tedious some of the things can be (those challenges from LM2 still make me want to pull my hair out). I also hate how every single lego game has those long cinematic sequences just to show you what you need to do, like, trust the player to figure it out. This week, over the course of 50 hours (give or take 5 hours or so) I 100%ed Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga and Lego Star Wars III, and that was really painful (the ground assaults are so boring and so easy to beat). I'd love to see you take this challenge to Star Wars and beat all the Lego Star Wars games straight. I've 100%ed all of them, and even though they're all the same IP, theyre all crazy different.

Lego Avengers is my Favorite of all time idk why but it’s always been number 1 to me
I recall 1 very annoying RC car brick to get in LM1, LMA just being generally pretty boring and slow, and LM2 being fun enough but fuck was completion not a good time.
I wonder if you can do this challenge with the three Batman games.

1 and 2 suffer from jank while 3 is bloated so probably best not as you'll just burn out.
Out of the three MARVEL games Avengers is the one i dread the least.
The original has awful flight controls so the flight races are a chore (especially the one starting at the helicarrier) and MARVEL 2 is so damn bloated, as i realised from a recent playthrough when i was recompleting all LEGO games from before and through lockdown.
I may be a fan of Sonic, but I'm at peace with it... mostly.

I never played the 2nd and 3rd games but the 1 Lego Marvel was my childhood go-to and the my first video game I had played, I was wondering why you hadn't done a speedrun on it (also whats wrong this liking the sonic games, I always play them???)
I honestly really enjoyed Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2. it was honestly my favourite of the marvel games
ok so apparently when i first beat this game i did freeplay all 15 levels then this one time i used a cheat code to get future foundation spiderman which i didn't know was a skull rider quest and then eventually i couldnt get future foundation mr fantastic and i got so mad

Lego marvel superheroes is the first game I ever completed to 100% and I did it by complete accident I just kept playing until it said 100%
