    I love the colors in this painting so much. The background is divine. I am trying to find a class…desperately. There’s only so many UA-cam videos I can watch. What is this style of painting called? Any chance I could use acrylics (I have so many Golden acrylics) I want to learn tonal values in color. Any suggestions of a name of class I would look for? I’m so sick of being self taught I could scream. ♥️😁

      @ClareBowenArtist  Рік тому +1

      Thank you for your comment! The style is called Impressionism! Not sure you can use acrylics but don’t know for sure as I have never used them myself. I know Kevin McPherson’s book has some stuff about tonal values which may help. I suppose the thing to do is find a class and before joining
      check out whether they cover tonal values in colour. 👩🏻‍🎨❤️

      Hi Dimitris thank you I’m pleased you like it! 🍋 it was done Alla Prima in one go on one day. I used turpentine to thin the layer to start. It helps not to go too thick to quickly. A base first then thick over the top. Last layer no turps. Hope this helps. Best wishes Clare
