Have you tried Pitaya? 🍇
I LOVEEEEEEE DRAGON FRUIT
yesss! my family has couple of the plants in our backyard!
Yes! I love the pink pitayas❤ they're so good!
Congrats on 100k!
I just got a few today, now ik what to do with them ^^
Dragon fruit is actually pretty sweet just depends where you get them if you don’t get a good one it tastes more watery if you get a good one tho it’s very sweet and delicious
Yes. Definitely hv tasted ones that are perfectly sweet wt a bit of sour. And then the bad ones are tasteless. I guess those who say dragon fruit r tasteless never had the good one.
Yes. I love it so much. It's the perfect blend of sweet and sour. So good especially when it's cold.
Are the frozen ones sweeter?
@@VFEdge I’ve honestly never had dragon fruit frozen so I can’t say. I usually get mine fresh from an Asian supermarket but even then it’s up to chance wether you gets good one or not, the chances of you getting a good one is probably higher tho
@Jindřich Kocián i've had pink skin dragon fruit with both white and pink flesh, but they usually don't taste like much. if you want a dragon fruit with more flavor try looking for a yellow skinned dragon fruit, i find they have much more flavor than the pink skinned variety as long as they're ripe.
Açaí isn't naturally sweet, but the one we get in the store is always sweetened (it's usually with guaraná syrup here in Brazil). I've never tried it as a savory dish, but it's very common in the north region, where it is naturally from.
Açaí salgado no norte ?
Her: "Açaí is naturally sweet"

KKKKKKKK
Kkkkkkkk

KKKKKKKKKKKK
*eu paulista, rindo mesmo sem nunca ter provado açaí sem açúcar*
Açaí is not sweet girl, you’re eating that processed stuff. REAL açaí is actually a bit bitter even, and lacks a lot of sweetness.
I was just thinking this. It’s bitter and kind of flavorless unless you buy it sweetened.
Siim, é tipo o abacate.
I've heard its similar to beans
@@2020Dumpsterfire Nooooooo. Not even close.
@@jaquelinesantos6941 was just saying what I've heard from someone from Brazil, I think she meant its savory like beans but idk.
Acaí isn’t naturally sweet. The one you are buying is sweetened.
ive only ever had the magenta dragon fruit and yeah it isn't a sweet fruit, more water-ish but i always liked pretending it was lipstick or i was a vampire when the juice dripped down from my lips
So the flavor is watered down?
Both the magenta and white ones are actually pretty sweet like 50%(I think?) of the time I eat them. Dunno if they're gmos or something
The red dragon fruit is very sweet when ripped
Yellow dragon fruit has the sweetest most kiwi like flavor, it's my favorite. Obviously red has pretty color though❤️
@@Cashcash69 kind of, it's still sweet but just water-ish :)
Girl. If you live in SoCal, take advantage of the weather and location and plant your own dragon fruit tree. We have a white one and they’re so incredibly good and sweet. And the plant itself is beautiful. The blossoms only bloom at night.
That’s so kool but how long does it take to grow enough to produce the fruit?!?
@@MT-il5tk you can buy an already big one at a plant nursery. We have about three at home. The biggest one kind of grew like a vine along a brick wall and has about 22 Dragonfruit buds right now, the smallest one is about two feet tall and has about three buds.
@@MT-il5tk you can also grow your own! Just scoop out some seeds, clean off the pulp, and plant them bad boys in dirt. There's no promise they'll bear fruit, but they're very cute!
@@MT-il5tk from scratch? It takes about 3 years for you to see results. You're probably better off buying one that's already grown a bit. ☹
Açaí isn't naturally sweet. The cities where this comes from (in Brazil), a bunch of people put açaí in savory dishes
@@seek9099 um... no, she didn't lol
@@erikastronda100 I heard it tho. I might have misunderstood it so sorry ima delete it
@@seek9099 it's okay :)
You are right! Açaí is NOT naturally sweet at all.
@@nancyismyname i know sweetie, i'm from Brazil hahaha
“i dont like my açaí is too sweet” “i like my fruits super sweet”
did you miss the part where she explained why she didn't like very sweet açaí ? lol
@@xtonibx5770 if it’s sweet then there’s sugar/syrup added to it. açaí isn’t naturally sweet
@@marinablockedyou I know. That's not the point of the comment though.
@@xtonibx5770 so what is the point?
@@rachaeldolezal6076 The original comment is saying that it doesn't make sense that she doesn't like sweet açai but likes super sweet fruit.
But it does make sense because she likes sweet fruit but doesn't like açai too sweet because she likes to control how sweet her bowls are. The original comment and my response weren't talking about whether or not açai is actually naturally sweet.
I hope this makes sense.
I actually have a bag of this dragonfruit in my freezer. I use it for smoothies. But I never thought to use it in a bowl, instead of açaí. I’m definitely going to try this out.
Straight Açaí isn’t sweetened.
She said she made the açaí
@@seek9099 thats pataya
@@Maverick-zy7yu Oop sorry
Açaí is not naturally sweet, at least not the one I eat in Brazil
90% do açaí produzido no mundo vem do Brasil, mais especificamente do Pará, então ela provavelmente comeu o daqui. Ela ta comendo o processado e nem sabe :/
@@LARA-zj4hu pse kkkkk
Yes I bought the frozen natural açaí and it was not sweet so I had to add sugar and extra fruit
Acai is actually not sweet, it's more bitter than anything, there is a lot of sugar added to mask the bitterness.
She said she made the açaí
@@seek9099 but she used pataya not açaí
@@seek9099 I highly doubt she **made** the açaí. As açaí is a berry with a hard big pit and almost no pulp. You actually need a machine to process the açaí and extract the edible part. You can do this process by hand but you would need native amazonian tools and a lot of strength. I'm 99% sure she just bought the pulp at a supermarket, and those have sweetener on it
@@razsouza I think I heard that she made it. Sorry if it was a misunderstanding
@@Maverick-zy7yu I think I heard that she made it. Sorry if it was a misunderstanding
Fun fact, dragon fruit is a cactus fruit, but this cactus does better in tropical or wet sunny locations, with a touch of shade🙂
I've said it once and I'll say it again. Smoothie bowls are just breakfast soups!!
Carnival cruises serve fruit soups on the appetizer menu. They are basically gourmet Gogurt in a bowl with a garnish. They would place the garnish in the center of the bowl and then pour the soup around it. How fancy!
Here in Mexico, the month of May is Pitaya's season and you can find them every where. Love Pitayas 🖤🍇
YESSSS! These are my favorite type of smoothie bowl! It’s the best when you top it with kiwi, mango, blueberries and honey!
hey Jeanelle! we’re so proud of you for hitting 100k!! 😁
Thank you so much!!
@@Jeanelleats yeahhh but acai isnt sweet
@@goodmythicalmukbang3757 Good Mythical Morning 🤘
@@goodmythicalmukbang3757 I kind of feel like she gathered that from the repetitive comments over and over.
BRO Dragonfruit is my favorite fruit! Not only does it sound cool, it tastes amazing 😂
That loop*CHEFS KISS*
Pitaya is also another fruit that I’ve had many times in Mexico it’s so yummy and has a interesting texture it’s delicious when it’s ripe and has a dark color kind of burgundy and it looks like brains hahaha . I think you’d like it.
At the smoothie bowl places around my house, they have a coconut base and I get that every time! It’s so good!
Im thankful that im living in a country where fruits are usually in their raw form and not in plastic or in cans.watching this while eating the pink and white variety of dragonfruit.
same here, although fruits like strawberries and blueberries and stuff are usually frozen or fresh but bad since the weather here isn't proper for those (therefore the only good ones are frozen bc they're imported)
Pitaya isn’t dragon fruit, it’s actually called pitahaya. Pitaya has a much thinner skin and is way more flavorful. They come in all sorts of colors like red, purple, white, yellow and pink! They’re originally from Techaluta, Jalisco 🇲🇽
Pitaya and pitahaya are the same thing. It's just called dragonfruit in English speaking countries.
@@island_girl it’s not but I understand most people haven’t tried an actual pitaya
In English they are the same thing .. pitaya, pitahaya, dragon fruit... Mexico just repeated the name (added an h lmao) for the type in the video, but Pitaya (Mexico) is not very common to find out of Mexico, hence why they are transported into countries like the United States under the same name. English speaking countries didn’t need to differentiate between them so they adopted all three names for the one fruit that was common (dragon/pitahaya)
Just trying to clarify why the person in the video called it pitaya. In the US it is simply what it is called because there’s no need to differentiate pitahaya and pitaya since mexican pitaya are hard to find unless you know transporters and where they are sold. Good day
Not only Jalisco
Puebla is where they be too🥴
It’s so pretty and colorful
The golden dragonfruit is super sweet! I love it!
Me living in Brazil after hearing that açaí is naturally sweet: 👁👄👁
here in Brazil we have lots of açai but I prefer to eat it only blended with sugar and that's it.
açai and sugar, sometimes I freeze it too and it's delicious.
The color is so beautiful!!
Pitaya is my moms favorite fruit. It used to grow were my mom lived (she lived in Mexico).
That pink color is so beautiful!
I absolutely LOVE pitaya bowls! I also love them more than açaí. They are so good!
My favorite is the white dragon fruit I like it with vanilla yogurt it’s super tasty to me
What liquid did you add into the blender in the beginning? Almond milk?
Açaí is the ultimate fruit for bowls! Full of flavor, wonderful texture, goes well with everything and super refreshing! 🇧🇷
congrats on 100K!!! I love your videos
Thank you so much!!
Pitaya is definitely my favorite fruit
The transition was seamless
It surprised me to hear her say açaí was sweet. I thought dang I must be eating it wrong then because it’s always been bitter to me. But then I read the comments 😂
That looks good! I've never had it but I'm willing to try it.
Omg I love your channel so much. You make the best videos in the whole world.

I love pitaya with mango and chia pudding with some fruit , peanut butter chips it’s the best😋

Please make more smoothie bowl videos, this is pure bliss to watch!
thats so delicious i love dragon fruits so much and also banana and mangos, i rlly want to taste that thing u made :o
but without the nuts and peanut butter i kidnda not like them
One time I ate a whole magenta dragon fruit by myself and then when I pooped it was red... I kinda freaked out at first thinking it was blood, but then I remembered that I had eaten the magenta dragon fruit lmao

I tried this a few days ago!!! SO GOOD OMG IT’S MY FAVORITE FOOD NOW!!!
This looks so good I cant
I’ve been eating this for years with those topping but no nuts and it tastes amazing!
I’ve tried açai and it wasn’t sweet at all, it was a little bitter actually but the fruits and honey on top balanced it out 👌🏼 I haven’t tried dragonfruit before although I want to!
Looks so healthy and delicious
Congrats on 100k! Totally deserved I love your vids❤️
Thank you so much!!
Yellow dragon fruit has a sweetness to it (more so that the other varieties I've tried). Its not super sweet but it's there. Out of all kinds of dragon fruit, my favorite is yellow dragon fruit.
Our dragon fruits are sweet. We always sliced it to bit-size and put it in the fridge and 30 mins later you have dragon fruit popsicles 🤗
Yes, I've had them. I make them all the time for my kiddos 😊
Funny how this short showed up cuz I tried dragonfruit today! I like it a lot and am planning on getting more in the future! ^^
This looks amazing!
Try a mix with passion juice/coconut milk, 1cup strawberries (frozen), 1/2 bananas (frozen), with the pitaya as your base and its soooo good
This looks sooooo BOMB 🤤🤤
Its actually sweet and really tasty it just depends on the fruit plant or where u got it from
looks so yummy..I love smoothies amd making fresh yogurt so this is right up my alley
I love them especially with mango and banana and pineapple
That looks sooooo delicious
This looks really good!!
The dark pink is the BEST OMG😩
Yesss? Pitaya is my absolute favorite🤩
At first when I didn’t know what was in it I was like ew I won’t like this but when I saw what you put in it I was like 🤤🤤 SO GOOD
gonna try now for sure😋
One of my favorite spots used to have pitaya bowls but they JUST stopped stocking them. I actually prefer them over açaí sometimes!

I’ve never understood the açaí bowls… I thought they were soo sweet. Good idea!
I love dragon fruit!! I always have dragon fruit in Bali !
I absolutely love dragon fruit and think it’s the perfect amount of sweetness bc it’s not too strong. I never really understood why people don’t like it so much. I personally think it tastes a great amount of sweetness
I've been to places where they plant dragon fruit. Actually there are other variants like the yellow and black one (but i've never tried them because they're so rare)
I LOVE THOSE LIKE PRENIUM ACAI SORBETS
I love these, I ate too much one night that when it was morning I freaked for a sec why my bowel was pink/purple before remembering how I hoarded the fruit off my siblings grubby fingers.
yea relatable
There is also yellow dragonfruit which is a bit sweeter than the red and white. truth is if you get a bad one(any color) it’ll taste like water with seeds but if you get lucky it’ll be refreshingly sweet.
As I’m eating both acai and the same dragon fruit cubes. So bomb and added chai seeds on top
This is beautiful
congrats on 100k subs :]
Thank you so much 😀
Looks delicious
Just coming back to this video to say I made one of these tonight and omg 😍 it’s so pretty and delicious thank you for sharing this recipe 😋💜
I never heard of any of these in my life. Definitely making these for my kids
There is ACTUALY also yellow dragon fruit, and maybe more that I don’t know. 👍🏼💜😁
Even that is sweet. I put a little bit of that on my smoothies and it all tastes like petaya. The sweetness is the same as asahi
That looks delicious
