Dealing with all the members being competitive with each other must have affected Lizzy to act toxic towards others. Saying she had a better figure than Uee and not getting her hype. You can tell her jealousy started showing through overtime.
Being competitive is one thing (although I do not condone that either and am so glad that the majority of groups support one another within Kpop) and being toxic and mean-spirited is another. Lizzy is clearly a very mean person..she has shown that trait for years now, very consistently. Everyone who has worked with her has said she is obnoxious and rude. That is on HER…nobody made her be that way. That is her. People like this unfortunately exist among us. ✌🏻
That instance wasn't really that toxic. When asked who has the best figure in After School she said herself and that she thinks she has a better figure than UEE. She also said she's best friends with UEE in the same conversation. This came after people were criticizing Lizzy for her weight.
@PlayWaves1 Uee was already getting hate for her weight, and Lizzy decided to add more fuel to the fire. She could have remained professional and not self-absorbed. You can see the disgust at other members' faces.

it's kind of ironic because during the t-ara scandal one of the members said something like "we would never do that" but they were mean asf to each other lol

Not only did they feel they had to defend themselves against harmful stereotypes being placed on them, but also they had major jealousy issues or imbalance due popularity and ever changing line-ups. like Pledis really failed this group, but that's my opinion.
Yeah a lot of the issues between members could have easily been fixed if management had focused on them being promoted as a group. How can you form a bond if people just keep rotating through line-ups are are constantly pitted against each other.
I mean, the group was created for Kahi to succeed because the CEO liked her, after the CEO got her pregnant and she left the group the guy had no real incentive to keep the group alive when the only profitable members were Nana and Uee anyways, so after some time failing he just silently disbanded the group.
Idol life just doesn't seem to be for her. Her personality does seem kinda unlikable on TV and she never learned her lesson after a dozen mistakes. Her trashing on her members body while saying she's prettier is next level petty and mean. With her DUI criminal record now I wonder if Pledis did have issues with her coming to work drunk (not saying Pledis isn't a terrible company either). That interview with Leeteuk at 21:49 was just embarrassing.
I'm honestly laughing ironically over the fact that she had the guts to post selfies on Instagram right after she was released from imprisonment. Like girl, what are you doing?? There are some screws loose for sure as she never seems to learn from her past mistakes. Or if she simply refuses to do so. That press conference with Leeteuk... I would be just as fed up as he was, if not even more annoyed by Lizzy's actions. Sadly, there are many people who operate like this. They are stuck in an endless cycle of their ways of going about things, how they react and internalize their own behavior, and how it affects those around them. To them, they subconsciously think that they did nothing wrong. I am definitely not condoning her actions, but after all these years, it's not acceptable. I can see why the Korean public doesn't want to see her again. It's not charming since she has ZERO likability and only continues to lose more respect. She needs to fix her act and make a better life for herself.

As someone who struggle with Ed, your videos are helpful to me, thank you also for spreading healthy way to weight and also don't only posts about it but about others as well! And can you do also Wonyoung or Liz? Wonyo looks so thin and Liz get bodyshame for normal and healthy weight
I think they said they won't do Wonyoung because she herself barely mentioned her weight or dieting at all. And also possibly because it would be a very polarizing video. A lot of fans of her would say a video like that is hate towards Wonyoung.
@@Hannah-vt7lc Yeah, so because Wonyoung hasn't mentioned much, it wouldn't be smart for OP to make a full-length video based on rumours & assumptions. The main reason why she takes so long to upload videos is because of the amount of research it takes to make an accurate video.
@Ella Lloyd🥥 Sadly it's because more often than not "concern" is used as an excuse to be hateful, also there is this romanticization on eating disorder and fans for some reason love to dramatize any weight loss and act like every idol is starving themselves and in the brink of death (I'm thinking, Lisa, Rosé, Somi)
i just think about the number of kpop groups that lost popularity and fell under during this time that easily could have survived if kpop had the reach then that it has now. i regularly listen to orange caramel, and catallena is still so immensely popular among korean AND international fans.
Orange Caramel was my first kpop group and to me Nana is still the number one visual of kpop. Back then I only listened to their songs but was never truly invested in any of their other activities. I honestly get why she was not very much liked in Korea. She made a lot of shallow and questionable statements. I feel like this is also due to her debuting as a minor. A lot of kpop idols so not to really mature and are kinda stuck in a bubble. With her personality I also dont think that she was fit to be an idol. Idols in korea have a specific image that they portray
OK, but there are a lot of minors debuted that are mature. I feel like this has a lot to do with Pledis management. Their management was completely messy. They may have encouraged jealousy and competition between them.
I can't believe they found Lizzy's comments tasteless, but imo I think the question alone was the most tasteless thing in that clip. These talk shows are so sleazy, the hosts always ask stupid or inappropriate questions. Lizzy should have known better than to respond that way too.
First Love is one of my most favorite kpop songs. This whole thing is actually pretty sad. But I think most kpop groups struggle with this- while they are a group, their actual success is very individual. It's nice to imagine they're all friends and family but that won't pay the bills if something happens. Most kpop groups probably just see other as collegues or acquaintances but that's about it, there will always be rivalry..
I understand why people don't like her (insulting others/ drunk driving), but hate is too much. I don't follow celebrities I dislike and explain why others shouldn't like them. And all of the men were okay insulting these women. Their careers didn't suffer like hers did
That's the problem with Kpop then & nowadays. You don't have to like every idol or group in the industry. In the same way that you can have favourites, there can also be those you don't vibe with, for various reasons. That's okay. That's human nature. It becomes a problem when, instead simply unstanning the person & going about your day, many people go out of their way to hate on them & be vile every chance they can get. We have seen it with Wonyoung, Garam, Sulli, Woojin, Lucas,etc... It's really annoying & despite many people having spoken out against it, fans will never stop.
She was so beautiful before. The industry really ruined her self confidence and made her go overboard with the surgery 😔 The way she "joked" about getting more ps bc they called her ugly is wrong
considering she held an ig live just a few weeks before her trial trying to throw herself a pity party... i kinda doubt it. but that's just me since i didn't hear of her ever since
Just had an idea! Would you like to make a Video about Stray Kids' Changbin? He used to be pretty skinny back in 2018 but build his body up in the gym. I know your usual content is more about weight loss but I thought a video about him would also serve as a motivation for others to have a healthy body and build themselves up. Especially for those struggling with that. Love your videos! Have a great day
I feel awful for the members of After School. 😢 All of these ladies were talented, beautiful, and deserving of so much more than they were given by Pledis (media + fans also). They were shamed for being “fat/thick”, shamed for being “way to skinny”, shamed for being “ugly/not pretty enough”, etcetc. Literally all of them were punching bags for the longest damn time and it’s infuriating to think about. Variety shows also liked to pit them against each other, all while editing segments to make it look like they hated each other (hate is a strong word imo). I can’t lie and say that I would come out mentally sane after being subjected to all of this. A few of the members have spoken out about the permanent damage the industry has caused them, while others are more quiet about the demons they face. As for Lizzie’s DUI, I wholeheartedly believe she should be given a second chance. This is coming from someone that has a history with drunk drivers. My mom and I were run off the road by a drunk trucker back in 09’ and the memory haunts me still… but the reason I say she deserves a second chance is that she obviously needs help with whatever she’s fighting mentally. I was diagnosed with depression and an anxiety disorder WHILE I was in middle school. I’m fixing to enter my 30’s this October so these are illness’s I’ve dealt with for half of my life it feels. And yes I turned to alcohol at one point to cope when things got bad (luckily never tried to drive while intoxicated but still). 😔 It’s not something I’m proud of but thankfully I had a support system to point me towards therapy. I’m no longer that miserable and scared person who just let things build up and fester. I dunno, I guess I see some of myself in Lizzie I guess. This industry has already claimed one to many from us.. I don’t want to see anymore go down a path of self destruction and I pray she gets the help she needs.
You know, rewatching this made me think of how ridiculous and biased Wonyoung haters are. I know i shouldn't bring her into this, but her haters do the same thing even when it doesn't matter. So i can help to feel slightly justify for doing the same. Anyways, they call Wonyoung a pick me girl for essentially doing her job without putting others down. But Lizzy has been shady to almost every females idols that she has seen as a threat or competition. And most of the time, it was going after something that would make them popular with males viewers. It either was their body, their youthfulness, or their cute quirks. And I haven't seen the same amount of hate against her as with Wonyoung. And this is not me wanting her to get bullied, too. It just the hypocrisy and double standard i am seeing right now.
That's why people like to joke 4th gen fans would have a heart attack if they were confronted with 2nd gen idols😅. I wasn't in Kpop at that time, but the stories you hear from that era are so wild sometimes.
i have a video idea for a more positive video- if there is enough footage and info that is...... le sserafims healthy body image workout and diet!! all le sserafim members love working out and emphasize healthy eating and building up muscle over dieting alone (they have even voiced their opposition to dieting to their managers etc. when heavily coerced to do it) in general the "trend" in kpop rn seems to be muscle gain over pure starvation to achieve a thin body that is also strong (example: wendy, le sserafim, several bg members like nct johnny, changbin, bm)
@@Nonyah123 maybe it could be a shorter video, ntm i was kind of going for looking at this "trend" as a whole, the pipeline to muscularity and fitness from extreme skinniness
I've been lowkey interested in afterschool for about 2 years now and wanted to start binging any variety content they had that remained on youtube, but damn did this video make me kinda wary 💀 Never knew they were so toxic to each other, and ofc kpop in a whole is a business and at the end of the day it's about money; but this kinda hurt ngl. Maybe it's because most groups do genuinely become close with each other throughout their careers, and it's a natural thing when you've been training together for so long. The only other group that I could think of that had the same attitude was t-ara. And, as always, fuck pledis 💕
She fucked up a few times on TV however it's pretty obvious that as soon as a woman -especially in korea- is being blunt and honest she's painted in a bad light. I'm pretty sure her personnality wouldn't have been such a problem in Europe or in the US, this just goes to show how bad misogyny is for her to get hate over this.
coming from a woman, i totally agree that misogyny and double standards contribute to the irrational hate that female celebs receive. however, lizzy just seems like a case of a person who just has an unlikable personality. i dont know much about her but just from watching this video alone, she just comes off as abrasive and rude rather than blunt and honest. like discussing her own members' bodies and saying hers is better, saying she's the original idol with a busan dialect, etc. is not really something related to just being blunt or honest? and u say that her personality would probably be taken in a better light in europe or the usa but i would disagree. in the west, it's even more socially unacceptable to talk about weight specifically and in general speak about and to people like that. idk, she definitely deserved better than how pledis treated her and definitely did not deserve to be hated on but she just doesnt seem to have a personality that is compatible with being a celebrity. that's just my 2 cents though.
@CHELSEA yeah I was thinking about her honesty on her career and how she felt. This sarcasm/ cynicism would definitely find success in France at least, we've had multiple artists, comedians etc Play a highly unlikeable personna. Regarding her comments on other members it definitely wouldn't fly in most places. Though I understand the sense of urgency and insecurity she must have felt in the poor work environment she was but it's still wrong to put other women down, furthermore this behaviour is rooted in internalised misogyny. Honestly I can only have empathy for her
I was thinking just that, i think she would do well in the us especially since people like tiffany pollard and the real housewives are loved and memed to death
@@eunhashoe1907 oh please, if anybody else made comments like that u would cancel them in 2 seconds. Empathy? She’s an asshole with a criminal record, stop
@rebecca you don't know me, don't assume we're the same, with the same opinion and behavior. I should have been clearer on the fact that I have empathy for the sense of insecurity she must have felt her whole career for her to be this desperate for attention, I still don't condone her comments on her co-workers nor the crime she committed but that still doesn't change the fact I am capable of finding empathy and seeing people as grey rather than black or white, good or bad
This was so long ago but when she was still active in variety they were talking about how each member got in. Nana was scouted as a model and both Raina and Lizzy got in via audition. Lizzy however didn’t passed the audition initially but insisted she knew how to sing and kept on singing to the point where the judges had to pass her just to get her to stop.
Question, is your Patreon still available? I was subscribed to it but I remember it being deleted around the same time the pand*mic started. Is there a financial way to support your channel?
Lizzy was blunt. She broke the fourth wall a bit for the reality of KPop. They should have just let her live and have her acting jobs as an animal fortune teller and let her get some genuine laughs about the reality. Pledis, male netizens, and Leeteuk got to have the final say on her and her career. It was a disgusting ride and the only victim and survivor was Lizzy. They never once just let her be. And she was the best singer and dancer and model of the group.
Can u do seungeun from BVNDIT? She used to be super duper skinny and now she seems to have gained weight and no one is talking about it. idk if it’s for health reasons or she was ⭐️ving herself before; I always thought she was the naturally skinny type when I first saw her at their debut.

@@Hannah-vt7lc Yeah, so because Wonyoung hasn't mentioned much, it wouldn't be smart for OP to make a full-length video based on rumours & assumptions. The main reason why she takes so long to upload videos is because of the amount of research it takes to make an accurate video.
@@Hannah-vt7lc yeah a lot of fans seem to think that concern = bodyshaming
@Ella Lloyd🥥 Sadly it's because more often than not "concern" is used as an excuse to be hateful, also there is this romanticization on eating disorder and fans for some reason love to dramatize any weight loss and act like every idol is starving themselves and in the brink of death (I'm thinking, Lisa, Rosé, Somi)
i just think about the number of kpop groups that lost popularity and fell under during this time that easily could have survived if kpop had the reach then that it has now. i regularly listen to orange caramel, and catallena is still so immensely popular among korean AND international fans.
Exactly. When I joined K-pop in 2020, I was shocked to hear so many groups disbanding.
She changed a lot for sure, I can barely recognize her anymore.
Well that escalated
First Love is one of my most favorite kpop songs. This whole thing is actually pretty sad. But I think most kpop groups struggle with this- while they are a group, their actual success is very individual. It's nice to imagine they're all friends and family but that won't pay the bills if something happens. Most kpop groups probably just see other as collegues or acquaintances but that's about it, there will always be rivalry..
I miss this channel! 😭
i miss your videossssss :( hope you're okay!!
I think it's best she stays out of the industry for her own sanity
I understand why people don't like her (insulting others/ drunk driving), but hate is too much. I don't follow celebrities I dislike and explain why others shouldn't like them.
And all of the men were okay insulting these women. Their careers didn't suffer like hers did
I dislike her but I could never write hate posts about her.
All these things aside Pledis really can't manage a girl group 😭
hopefully her DUI can be a saving grace for her. maybe the idol life wasn’t for her, and she can just live a healthy, normal life?
considering she held an ig live just a few weeks before her trial trying to throw herself a pity party... i kinda doubt it. but that's just me since i didn't hear of her ever since
What a sad story
Just had an idea! Would you like to make a Video about Stray Kids' Changbin? He used to be pretty skinny back in 2018 but build his body up in the gym. I know your usual content is more about weight loss but I thought a video about him would also serve as a motivation for others to have a healthy body and build themselves up. Especially for those struggling with that.
Love your videos! Have a great day
Fantastic video like always. I get really happy when I see the notification for your videos. Can't wait for the next one
I miss After School 😢
I miss 2nd generation 😢
i just hope she got help for her alcoholism.
Of course pledis is behind this
Honestly I feel bad for her her story is so sad being treated like that so young (but some of the things she does this is not acceptable)
Thank you so much for the vid and your hard work as always! 🙏🏻💕
Double standards comparing idols one decade apart....okay.
K-Pop fans are very brutal, they will not leave out small details to bring down other idols.
i have a video idea for a more positive video- if there is enough footage and info that is...... le sserafims healthy body image workout and diet!!
all le sserafim members love working out and emphasize healthy eating and building up muscle over dieting alone (they have even voiced their opposition to dieting to their managers etc. when heavily coerced to do it)
in general the "trend" in kpop rn seems to be muscle gain over pure starvation to achieve a thin body that is also strong (example: wendy, le sserafim, several bg members like nct johnny, changbin, bm)
Too early to say that, we don’t know what they do behind the scenes
The bloodthirsty attitude of netizens will never cease to amaze me
Can you do Babysoul from Lovelyz? She is quite worrying, I think.
I’m sorry but she’s actually so funny 😭
Such an informative video as always. Can you do one on Park Bom? It's not that I'm hating on her, but these videos help me to understand what goes on!
I had no idea she went to prison for a year, that's a lot.
Do y’all remember her audition story? She basically ‘forced’ her way in 🤣
Do tell.
really
Can you tell me the story pls?
This was so long ago but when she was still active in variety they were talking about how each member got in. Nana was scouted as a model and both Raina and Lizzy got in via audition. Lizzy however didn’t passed the audition initially but insisted she knew how to sing and kept on singing to the point where the judges had to pass her just to get her to stop.
@@altaircain Wow so she didnt deserve to be an idol initially
Question, is your Patreon still available? I was subscribed to it but I remember it being deleted around the same time the pand*mic started. Is there a financial way to support your channel?
Pls do seungkwan or eunji next
I went back and watched Uee’s video. I guess the AS girls really weren’t feeling supportive of each other😑
can u do a video on nayoung of lightsum? she looks alarming thin as of late, and she has a lot of career experience from pd48.
She used to be super duper skinny and now she seems to have gained weight and no one is talking about it. idk if it’s for health reasons or she was ⭐️ving herself before; I always thought she was the naturally skinny type when I first saw her at their debut.
i dont know if u take requests but it would be interesting if u made a video about txt yeonjun's weight loss over the years
can you do liz and wonyoung from ive?
Drunk driving is unacceptable, i feel for her and her story but thats so selfish
pls do loona yeojin from loossemble
Please can you do one for liz from ive?
lizzy looks to me like yuqi from gidle
애프터스쿨 보고 싶어 😢
두 번째 시대를 보고 싶어 😢
Can you do another male idol or maybe someone from Twice/updated version of Itzy
LOVE LIZZY 🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶
She's my sister of that time.
Hello 👋🏼🙂, I don’t know if you read requests 😮… but ¿could you please do a video about SEVENTEEN Jun 😮?
Since I knew that for his solo “LIMBO” had only 6% of body fat 😮😨 and now for his next solo “PSYCHO” I saw that he is still slim 😮; I know and feel that he eats healthy and taking care of what he eats and exercise 😮, but I started to feel worry for him 😢…
She’s problematic herself
plz do a video on minnie and yuqi from gidel they both lost alot of weight and thwy were looking very slim during tomboy era. Thnak u btw i love ur video 😊
so the dude told Lizzy to stop being unprofessional but starts flamming her on tv? I guess he would know; what a clown🙄
hi, could you make jisoo's weight gain again, i think lately she is in a yo-to effect, she exercise very much, became thin e suddenly she gain all it back after a couple of days
If you mean Jisoo from blackpink 😮, this channel already made a video about her…
@@melzam7420 they sometimes update or make a part two but imo i thinks it's too soon 🤔
Please make a video on joy
Can you do jungyeon from twice?
Thats lizzy? Wow
worst co-worker ever lmao
Hey!! Can you please do a video of Tzuyu from Twice??
Please post joy video next
I’m sorry but she was never in the wrong for the majority of it. The criticism and the backlash she receives just seems very shallow and misogynistic.
Also who cares if she hates / dislikes her fellow members? I bet you many idols are also like that, but they aren’t honest like Lizzy.
It’s sad how easy a woman career can be spit out like that. Daesung from Big Bang, Nichkhun from 2PM can get away from DUI and Lizzy is always being remembered for that? Give me a break
Ikr? Bom from 2ne1 career suffered from the drug scandal, but BigBang didn't. Misogyny is real in kpop.
Yikes... she should be afraid of the consequences.
HIIII
Seconddd
Wait...she was jealous of another idol for having the same accent???
🫨
I kinda think so cuz she was known for this and had the spot which someone stole it to her, i also think the evil editing has something to do
I think she is just a petty person. She literally made a big deal about the maknae position.
Leeteuk you tried you're best lmao 🫂
