Its pretty sad to see for so many reasons. The graphics certainly are there, yes. But Halo originally was not about that. It was about gameplay, story, mystery, a pinch of horror, immersion and absolutely about storytelling. Things you cannot just buy, but which you have to have certain skills to accomplish. Fantastic video, it boggles my mind how people have seen a change in name, and some flashy AAA graphics (the bare minimum of a studio backed by microsoft) in an industry standard game engine, and they just forget how this company has wronged them time and time again for over a decade. The thing with this unreal reveal is I didn’t doubt they had a good art team, they nailed the classic artstyle with infinite, we all know unreal is pretty. Does any of that mean we’re gonna get a feature complete game where basic modes that have been around since ce aren’t held back for the sake of seasonal content. So long story short, the studio that took the mantle of Halo after Bungie, 343 studios, fumbled the ball and all but destroyed the franchise. Now 343 is "closed" and "Halo Studios"(very original) is taking over, using the same schtick the last studio did as "remaking the brand".
I will be somewhat cautiously optimistic but one of the lead game designers said that he hates guns and he is working on a FPS game now so my hopes aren’t high

The problem is that almost all their games successfully address issues with the previous. There's no guarantee they won't screw something else up again. Infinite was a step in the right direction, content and post launch support was the biggest issue. I'm not writing off the studio but they still have to prove themselves.

So that means many of the employees are going to have the same mindset of the old leadership. Also all the sub management under the old leadership were friends and co workers with the old leadership and they also likely have the same ideas. So really nothing has changed. If you wanted something new, you’d need to move entirely to a new team

I was baffled when people were hyped for Infinite. I lost all faith in 343's ability to make a Halo game when I saw the opening cinematic for Halo 5. look closely at that thing and there are massive problems all around. After the severe letdown that was Halo 5 and the original MCC, I really do not understand why anyone had hope for Infinite. Time will tell whether 343 will successfully generate any hype for their new projects. maybe people have finally caught on that this studio is hopeless? one can hope.

Rn, im playing infinite for the first time in like 11 months and im trying to lie to myself and get excited for halo. then i see that it costs £10 for a helmet and £60 to recreate my reach spartan. Its been 3 years and the game has a few new equipment and a dmr. There have been so many leaks of nearly fully finished guns and vehicles, and i bet the reason why they are not in the game is because the people that actually made them no longer work at the company. Same as the people who did the good things in infinite. Like a lot of the artstyle. This "new" management has had infinite for what? Like a year now? And the game still treats you like piggy bank.

Rewatching one of the interviews with him he immediately announced his pronouns thus as the video went on made statements about how gender defined individuals can come together and make something great. And just with that Boone chick, as well as the other two female leads within Halo studios, just goes to show that these activists don't care about the gaming landscapes let alone the franchises they are handed. And like this video has shown we are getting the same treatment If not probably worse down the road that this franchise will continue to dig itself and unfortunately Microsoft does not care enough to provide the proper people to be placed into these positions to create something great just like how the older Bungie days were. They put their foot down they didn't want no real interference from Microsoft they want it to be left alone to do the work and let them craft something amazing and that's how we got such the amazing games they gave us. But with what we have now Microsoft is just as much involved and DEI focused as shown with this preview along with the head of Halo studios and all I got to say to that is that no matter how much they try to show me they ain't fooling me again and I will not be buying their products any longer
