I love your videos and tell everyone I know who might be interested in this kind of thing about your channel. You've got the most interesting stuff on UA-cam that I have found so far!
It's amazing how much "stuff" is out there in the avionics world!

9:25 There is the IDT 7130, that's a 1Kx8 dual port SRAM. That gold ceramic DIP socket is rather unusual. It was only recently made obsolete www.idt.com/document/dst/713040-datasheet . One of the main application (I also used it for that) is to share data and communicate with another system on the board. Dual ported RAM data sharing is still used today but went into FPGA's that will also accomodate all the additional logic for it.

    I love your videos.
Do you have any pieces of Boeing avionics (737, 747, 777 ...)?

Yes of course I have some Boeing parts, the flagship of them is a gyroscope ua-cam.com/video/lWeQsYbQ8pI/v-deo.html also some instruments ua-cam.com/video/g387pE2xSoQ/v-deo.html and in older videos, an altitude alert computer ua-cam.com/video/BE4z-dVUptc/v-deo.html and fuel summation unit ua-cam.com/video/0WjsY2zGDq0/v-deo.html

I found this video after buying mine. I assume you got yours from the same seller but mine smelt of electrical burning however I could not see anything wrong. In fact I suspect it was a repaired unit from Rockwell Collins but was never used. I was going to use it for a project but might put it back on eBay now.

Seems he has stock of several kinds of units, so it might well be a workshop overstock. However one of the other units I got from him was full of dust, so clearly a part pulled out from an aircraft and untouched since.

@@msylvain59 I emailed the seller and he came back saying most parts are returned from repair centre as beyond economical to repair or are obsolete. They have retired a lot of their planes or sold them on and these engineering spares are surplus to requirements.

Nice one! all those expensive fancy caps, RF weirdness and precision resistors! must have cost a fortune new

Are you have anything for me?

Did you notice that some of the datecodes in the power supply are from 1997, which is AFTER the stated test date?

This beryllium body RF transistors scares me a little bit. As I remember it was advised to use gloves and masks when dealing with boards that have this bastards.

No problem unless one of these gets broken or explodes under power. The latter option really sucks (contaminating the whole workbench etc).

Beryllium isn't an issue yeah, until it breaks! Still though, it's probably best to protect yourself when dealing with that crap...

Craignos la qualité de fabrication de la carte principale pour de l'avionique . Le nombre de petits fils de liaison et de petits composants collés ! On voit même plus ça dans les appareils grand publique de marque .
