Remixed instrumental version of "What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted" by Jimmy Ruffin ...our aim is to let the others know how great The Funk Brothers were
Single best-produced record of all time. Name an instrument, and it's probably on the track. Dig the harp. And Jamerson does these little six-note things that no one else could possibly have thought of.
Oh how this music rips my heart out. I lose my breath and feel an aching in my heart that can't be described in words. I don't think any music does this more to me than the sad songs by the Motown sound.
like me you have an over active parasympathetic nerve from your tummy to your brain and music triggers 3 parts of the brain so you either feel happy or sad. Its a heck of a thing when youre listening to music or watching a tv programme where it gets to a sensitive part and you want to cry your eyes out. Some people see it as a curse. Those with it are usually caring souls that are pretty good to know. You cant bs the science lol.
I totally have to agree this was fantastic music and is all about good and love and bad but in a good way. Nothing like today's music with killing and violence wrote into the songs now days which is a sign of the times and the way this country seems to be heading right now. It sure makes you remember the good times we had growing up even though we didn't have everything like now days.
my favorite Motown ballad - a true thrill to hear this iso mix - THANK YOU @UCWDsGFtBxEQN70JOoy5lG8w!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Andantes and The Orginals on beautiful backgrounds. On some live and TV versions, the late Jimmy Ruffin would include an 8-bar spoken intro poem. It's in the Wikipedia listing for the song...goes over the instrumental intro here.
The Andantes and The Originals worked perfectly together on this gem. Louvain Demps always gets annoyed that the Originals also worked with them on ''What's Going On'' and have never had the credit they deserved,
This music reflects a time when hits rolled out of MoTown faster that cars from a Detroit assembly line. The songs were great, full of heart and soul, and today can whisk a person back to that warm and nostalgic time in the first couple bars.
thank you doesn't capture it, but it's the best I got . . . this song, along with THE CHOKING KIND has been my favorites ever since I came to know myself and it never gets old; good stuff never does . . . but thanks!!
