Ok I’m doing this now and what I’m seeing is it looks like you’re supposed to turn it a quarter to the left and then the coolant/anti-freeze starts coming out of the nozzle on the side. It looks like you’re not supposed to take it off. However, nothing came out of the side leading me to believe it gets clogged since the tube is so narrow. I took the lower large hose off and the coolant started emptying out. It was mostly water from last owner. I got the vehicle free because it did not run but it’s running now. Replacing coolant with water causes corrosion and that clogs the small spaces. Fortunately no overheating issues so no clogs in important places.EDIT: Ok just saw a video in Spanish on UA-cam and it confirms what I said before. You only turn it a quarter turn to the left and the coolant is supposed to come out. The video is titled.:
Cambio de refrigerante en el Suzuki XL7 2008 Yes, he’s calling the coolant/antifreeze the word refrigerant incorrectly. And, I own that vehicle and it’s the same GM car in everything except the body shape. All parts are the same or almost the same. Mine is on the opposite side.

I broke off my top wing like you. What did we do wrong? How are you supposed to remove it?

I used the drain plug to drain coolant, the gasket on the plug popped. Every mechanic in town quoted me 700 plus for a new radiator. No one would even try replacing the plug or gasket. I replaced it for 6 bucks from oreilley's part number 61134. . Thank you for the advice

You should of gone on to eBay for new radiator $80.99, not $700 plus. It pays to shop around.

My question is I was doing a flush and my gasket must have worn and is leaking a little, so how did you pull the old peacock completely out mine seems stuck in there, did you pull it out with pliers, needle-nose after turning it counter clock

I accidentally ripped off that little plastic nub on the side of the Petcock valve because I thought it was a stopper… Anyone know what that is?

Turn it slightly and it should pull straight out like any plug would
