This is eagle heads on an eagle block. Piston to valve train seems good, thats why i used the phaser lock! Im not too sure about running the mds cams on early 5.7s...i think the lifters are different... Thanks for the comment!
Yes I meant on the phaser, the clamp on the phaser . Im unfamiliar with that procedure, what is the reason for that clamp? Got another question for you. Did you degree the camshaft? I’m in the middle of rebuilding my moms 2015 hemi 5.7 1500 after lifter and cam failure. I’m trying to verify every little detail
Nice job great video. I’ve got a lotta time in on old Big blocks and all the LA and magnum stuff so it’s time to get into the gem 3 Hemi stuff. They are a solid foundation especially the 5.7. MOPAR2YA KIDD!
Yep!!! As LA prices and motorhome 440 prices skyrocket, this is the new "junkyard budget" thanks for the input! Biggest challenge like any engine is understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the Gen 3.

What is the reason you are tightening down that screw on the cam phaser?
Which screw? On the lock? If it's that, its to wedge the Phaser Lock into the phaser

Just made sure cylinder 1 was at TDC and set the timing! Easiest and simplest way.
Are you using 5.7 heads
Are the push rods and rockers 5.7 as well
