So Chara probably feels like was they were edged after frisk does all of them resets. So Chara makes a deal with sans were they get both what they want. Sans to get rid of the human and for chara to stop getting geno edged. But yeah other then those implications it was never really completely specified the other differences in the au. Only the creator knows and i doubt theyll make a second part anytime soon.
I think you can make interesting dialogues between Chara and Sans in Part 2 because killer Sans and Chara are united in spirit, it may sound weird but they are soulmates in a way.
