A lot of classic american chocolate uses a process that preserves the milk through the creation of butyric acid. In Europe, fresh milk has superseded this practice, but Americans were a lot more conservative when it came to this taste and strongly associate it with "traditional" chocolate taste. The problem is that for people who are not used to butyric acid, it is very unpleasant, and very easy to detect because it is present in vomit and humans can smell it very easily. When I had Hershey in America I could not finish the bar. Nevertheless, Italians also consume a lot of butyric acid, because it is present in parmesan cheese!

Never tried baci perugina before. We have a famous gelato shop here in São Paulo, Brazil, called Bacio di Latte. They sell baci perugina, but it’s expensive. On the other hand, kinder bueno is one of my favorite chocolate. I like snickers, but kinder bueno is way better than snickers. But on my last trip to Europe I found something called Kinder Cards, those are awesome. It’s a cookie filled with kinder chocolate. No cookie can top kinder cards. Hello from Brazil 🇧🇷
@@giuseppebibbo1883 Yep, as the main Ferrero company which was born in 1846 in Alba, Piemonte. But Kinder Chocolate brand (the classic kinder chocolate bar) was first invented in Frankfurt in 1867, then one year later, it reached Italy. Wikipedia page of Kinder Chocolate doesn't mention his german origins when the page is shown in italian. That's why there may still confusion about this brand.
Ghirardelli was actually made by an Italian chocolatier but in America. So you're both right in a sense I'd say it's the best mainstream American chocolate
Well they tasted and compared mainstream/industrial brands, what you basically get at the supermarkets. Snickers is a well known brand in Europe btw. same as Mars or Twix!
I laughed my ass off when Eva was going to correct you with the proper pronunciation only to catch herself as she pronounced the G in Ghirardelli the wrong way hahahahahahahahaha 😆 🤣 😂 😹 ❤ 🤍 💙 🧡 but you can see the l♡ve in her eyes 👀 for Harper
I would like to see the following: American - Baci vs. ghirardelli hazelnut chocolate - Mon Cheri vs. Cella's Chocolate Covered Cherries - Kinder bueno vs Pirouline - Pocket Coffee vs. Kit Kat Duo Mocha + Chocolate - Kinder Cereali vs. Nestle Crunch Canadian - Baci vs. Purdy’s Hedgehog / Rosemary Hazelnut Bark / Chocolate Hazelnut Flake - Mon Cheri vs. Cherry Blossom - Kinder bueno vs Crisp Crunch - Pocket Coffee vs. Coffee Crisp - Kinder Cereali vs. Laura Secord Crispy Rice Milk
I'm Italian and I don't like Mon Cheri because of the liquor. In Italy we have the "sneakers" and I like it very much, it's similar to "mars". You made me remember that Hershey kisses, I tasted them when I was a child. I don't like so much the fact that Eva doesn't like everything she tastes from the US. I'm more open minded about this.
The Kinder Bueno is amazing. Although I really like some of the other chocolates in the video the Kinder Bueno is my absolute favorite. It’s crisp, creamy, nutty and chocolatey, ti amo Kinder Bueno!
My wife & I just tried the Pocket Coffee Espresso.. More like a pocket rocket with the espresso liqueur. So good!!! Still looking for the Mon Cheri liqueurs. All I found were the Hazelnut ones....
I just like the fact that there are both Italians and Americans (as well as other nationalities) who are taking different sides on the issue. I think it all boils down to your personal preference. As an American, I find that the older I get, the less sweet chocolate I like more and more. But I just can't get into dark chocolate as other people do! One of my favorite chocolate candies that I don't have very often anymore (due to availability and PRICE) is the Ritter Sport White Chocolate with Whole Hazelnuts. Breaking that square bar in half to open the packaging is a wonderful ritual. Now THAT is my special treat, there! LOL
Here in Hungary the Kinder Cereali is called Kinder Country and I LOVE IT! Also European candies > american candies no doubt (tho Reese's are really good)
Hershey's kisses were the biggest disappointment for me 🤣 That kind of low quality chocolate you can buy for 50 cents for the whole chocolate bar in any shop here
We have Kinder Bueno here in the US. It is one of my favorites, I will choose it over Snickers, every time. Hershey kisses come in a lot of different flavors - not just the plain milk chocolate. You should let her try them all. M&M's are my favorite.
I can only speak for the Los Angeles area, but if you are in the states and want to try those European chocolates and more, go to an Armenian grocery market, it varies from market to market, but bigger ones will have whole sections dedicated to European sweets. You will 10/10 find Baci and kinder products.
Mon Cheri are super popular in my country (Puerto Rico) but they are VERY different: they're filled with hazelnut pieces instead of liqueur and cherries. 🤯
Maybe are you confusing them with Ferrero Rocher? Same brand, but different kind of chocolate, always done as a 'bacio' perugina, but instead of dark chocolate, it's made with milk chocolate and a nutty cream with crushed nut inside, with a whole nut in the center... And this is my personal favorire EVER...! 💖
Thank you, Mexico, for your contribution to the entire world of the original chocolate! Aztecs were already into it by the time Europeans arrived in the “New World.” ❤️ 🇲🇽
Excellent video. I'm a new sub and enjoy your videos. Being Italian Mom and Sicilian Dad I appreciate Italian confections. Oh btw Ghirardelli is made in us however started by an italian hence his name was Ghirardelli. Thank you.
I did not know that Kinder is Italian, good to know because I can not eat one single Kinder Bueno, I eat the whole package. Anyway no one can beat Hershey Almond Chocolate bar.
My friend Francesca agrees with you on the last Italian Chocolate. She has never tried any American chocolate but she doesn't like that particular one. It was funny watching her (Francesca) dancing in place as you played the Italian national anthem at the end of the video. Thanks for the entertainment as always. Ciao!
I need to get my hands on some pocket coffees! In Canada we have coffee crisp, which is a coffee flavor chocolate bar. They are delicious but not a full espresso shot.
Ma scusa... Ma una bella scatola di gianduiotti? I tartufi? Un torrone con le nocciole della pernigotti? Il cioccolato di Modica? I cremini? Dai, il kinder cereali non è male, ma non me lo puoi additare come miglior cioccolato in Italia...
I love everything from Ferrero. Kinder Bueno is one of my favorite. I think I most of all like Duplo and Hanuta. But I am not sure what exactly is also available in Italy and what is produced by Ferrero in Germany. Cause Hanuta is an abbreviation of a German word...and Ferrero Küsschen I guess is like Baci...and what I also really like is Giotto. I don't usually eat Mon Cheri, but I do like the tartufo ice cream filled with cherry liqueur. I do like all the chocolate though, German (Toffifee being my favorite), Swiss, Italian... from what I have heard American chocolate is not that good in comparison.
Both my parents are from Italy. I have been to Italy. I never heard of Pocket Coffee. I am terribly sad right now :P ..... Great video's, you have a new subscriber. I cioccolatini Baci soni I miei preferiti
I haven’t had a Hershey’s kiss in a while but the almond ones are delicious when you freeze them. I’ve had the Italian kiss they are amazing! We have an Eataly here it’s a blessing.
@corsaro nero oh well, i bought Them recently so i Guess It was Just a minor Number of package. Sht happens everywhere. The fact Is they taste so fkn good.
Oh boy, you should try Griotte (Croatian original of Mon Cheri copy), made with maraschino cherries. But Kinder Duplo, and Ferrero (the one with pistachio ) those are the best. Also Snickers is amazing, and always a win for me over Kinder Bueno and I am half italian.
Nononono the best chocolate comes from Switzerland and from artisanal chocolate makers not from big industries... I agree that Italian can cook but please don’t eat these chocolates ughhhhhhhhhh
You should have presented him with Ferrero Rocher, those and the Mon cherie are really well liked here in Portugal too. I call you out for a 2nd round!
Italian people love their food so much that they close that only theirs is good. I live in Italy and I must accept that Swiss chocolate and some of the United States are much better.
Buon appetito
May I recommend Ethel M's creme liqueur collection to compete with the liquor cherries you tried; the cherry cordials with brandy are amazing! Also, for a coffee caffeine kick with your chocolate, try Ghirardelli chocolate covered espresso beans!

Kinder Chocolate is half German. It's the axis power of chocolates (Michele Ferrero invented Kinder Cocolate in Frankfurt in 1967).
Yeah I thought so.
"kinder" is the German word for "children" if I'm not mistaken
Was Michele Ferrero italian?
@@giuseppebibbo1883 Yep, as the main Ferrero company which was born in 1846 in Alba, Piemonte. But Kinder Chocolate brand (the classic kinder chocolate bar) was first invented in Frankfurt in 1867, then one year later, it reached Italy.
Wikipedia page of Kinder Chocolate doesn't mention his german origins when the page is shown in italian. That's why there may still confusion about this brand.
Pretty sure the Swiss are the kings of chocolate.
That or the Belgiums!!
yuuuup
Belgium, hands down.
No, more like the Belgians haha
no chocolate I've tasted I like more than ferrero's, but I may be wrong?
Ghirardelli was actually made by an Italian chocolatier but in America. So you're both right in a sense
I'd say it's the best mainstream American chocolate
Not saying much.
Well they tasted and compared mainstream/industrial brands, what you basically get at the supermarkets. Snickers is a well known brand in Europe btw. same as Mars or Twix!
Eva mi dispiace ma i kinder cereali perdono 10 a 0 contro i Reese's, troppo buoni
🏆
Ma anke lo snikers è buonissimo
Io non li trovo in supermercato, forse negli american shop?
i'm Italian and i love Snickers , i also wanna try Reese's but i can't find it D:
I laughed my ass off when Eva was going to correct you with the proper pronunciation only to catch herself as she pronounced the G in Ghirardelli the wrong way hahahahahahahahaha 😆 🤣 😂 😹 ❤ 🤍 💙 🧡 but you can see the l♡ve in her eyes 👀 for Harper
In her defense, Girardi with a soft G is a very popular Italian last name
tipsy? i used to have 5 or 6 mon cheri in a row when i was 11
😂😂😂😂
Same ahahah, they are not that strong
i guess BOERO were stronger typical 80's/90'S italian bars delicacy
'muricans always react strangely to the word 'alcohol', as if it comes with a binary ON/OFF-switch.
@@sonogabri1 it depends on the state. Most states could sell it.
Kinder Cereali is also my the most favourite :) love it soooo much.... But we call it "kinder country", i thought the name is same everywhere
I would like to see the following:
American
- Baci vs. ghirardelli hazelnut chocolate
- Mon Cheri vs. Cella's Chocolate Covered Cherries
- Kinder bueno vs Pirouline
- Pocket Coffee vs. Kit Kat Duo Mocha + Chocolate
- Kinder Cereali vs. Nestle Crunch
Canadian
- Baci vs. Purdy’s Hedgehog / Rosemary Hazelnut Bark / Chocolate Hazelnut Flake
- Mon Cheri vs. Cherry Blossom
- Kinder bueno vs Crisp Crunch
- Pocket Coffee vs. Coffee Crisp
- Kinder Cereali vs.
What may be causing resistance is comparing the new candy to the metric of her candy of choice, which she’s used to.
I also don't like Mon Chéri. I'm not fond of chocolate & liqueur mixed together. It's just sweet upon sweet.
The Kinder Bueno is amazing. Although I really like some of the other chocolates in the video the Kinder Bueno is my absolute favorite. It’s crisp, creamy, nutty and chocolatey, ti amo Kinder Bueno!
There isn't a bad Kinder product 😍
Awww, man. I would have taken her to a confectionary store that makes chocolate. Maybe present her with a bon bon. 😚
I have mastered the art of speaking in an Italian accent because of dear Eva 🥰🥰 thank you!
LOL
Almond Joy is probably my favorite. I love coconut and almonds.
Here in Hungary the Kinder Cereali is called Kinder Country and I LOVE IT! Also European candies > american candies no doubt (tho Reese's are really good)
I think it's called Kinder Country everywhere except in Italy :D
I was wondering when the Reese's Peanutbutter cups were going to show up! 😂😂😂 You didn't disappoint! 😉
The kit kat bar may have been a better comparison to the Kinder Bueno. Love you guys videos😂👍👌👏
In hindsight, you’re absolutely right. I severely underestimated the texture
Cant wait for you to make a video where eva brings harper to italy and take him around eating good italian stuff filming his reactions :D
As soon as we can go! 😜😂
In the USA you only need 10% cacao to call something chocolate. That's pretty pathetic
"a lot of different flavors" - what Americansuse to cover the lack of cocoa butter to increase profits."
I’ve been benge watching all your videos since last night love it
I can only speak for the Los Angeles area, but if you are in the states and want to try those European chocolates and more, go to an Armenian grocery market, it varies from market to market, but bigger ones will have whole sections dedicated to European sweets. You will 10/10 find Baci and kinder products.
Good to know!
Aztecs were already into it by the time Europeans arrived in the “New World.” ❤️ 🇲🇽
Ferrero Rocher > every existing chocolate
Omg! I just had to subscribe. I have watched a lot of your videos now and I cannot stop dying....😂
Quando lui dice 'je t'aime mon cherie' la faccia di lei è IMPAGABILE hahahahha
This is like watching Gino and Gordon fighting who's the best cook.
i'm italian and i love snickers, kitkat, twix 🥰🤩😍 and Raffaello with coconut 🤤🤤
You realize KitKat is European?
Snickers is best. The thing is that she is too patriotic and never accept truth. She always slips
@@dutchgamer842 so is twix and snickers 🇬🇧
@@zakrowe1301 Twix and Snickers are both made by Mars Inc. (an American company)
Montgomery Badleford idk about snickers but twix was definitely originally made in the Uk
Harper needs to understand that the Kinder Bueno is far superior than the Snickers. Also his wife is always right about eatings...
Kudos to you for putting up with this one.
Excellent video. I'm a new sub and enjoy your videos. Being Italian Mom and Sicilian Dad I appreciate Italian confections. Oh btw Ghirardelli is made in us however started by an italian hence his name was Ghirardelli.
Thank you.
I love your videos guys.... But come on, mon cheri is the worst chocolate ever😂
Bueno and snickers are at the same level in my opinion👌😁
you can compare sneakers with mars, defenetly not with buenos
@@terri9917
But Mars is an American company!
I did not know that Kinder is Italian, good to know because I can not eat one single Kinder Bueno, I eat the whole package. Anyway no one can beat Hershey Almond Chocolate bar.
Try Novi ones (Italian) or probably the king of chocolate bars, Lindt (Swiss)
"Kinder" belongs to the same group of Ferrero which is the manufacturer of Nutella.
Hershey’s are one of the worst chocolate. Its fake as hell
Aw come on, i’m italian and i would trade 100 kinder bueno for 10 snickers bars
😂🏆
GIAMMAI
AL ROGO
@I like Potatoes Kinder chocolate, as the name implies, is for children.
Put it up on ebay, i will trade at least 10 times lol
Nice lol I KNEW IT WOULD BE REASES!! One of my faves, up there with snickers for me!
They are delicious but not a full espresso shot.
gotta be a lot of italians in the toronto area.. and import shops
Of course chocolate is different. Even American nutella taste different than the Italian one
so true.
Davvero?
@@valenesco45 eh sì. La nutella italiana è una crema gianduia, quindi sa di nocciola. La controparte americana invece è più zuccherata e c'è più cacao
American food is shit compared to European food .
Nutella is not chocolate for the 100th time.
Ma scusa... Ma una bella scatola di gianduiotti? I tartufi? Un torrone con le nocciole della pernigotti? Il cioccolato di Modica? I cremini?
Dai, il kinder cereali non è male, ma non me lo puoi additare come miglior cioccolato in Italia...
You forgot the king of chocolate: IL GIANDUIOTTO!
Then Ferrero Rocher, the bacio di dama and the cri-cri.
Si sente che son di Torino?!
Love you guys!
I love you guuys !!! I like watching your videos and I really love and aprreciate Eva’ s recipes and the way she is. ☺️
I love Eva so much, everything she says turns out right😂😂😂😂
I love everything from Ferrero.
Pocket Coffee ❤️❤️❤️ how could you even compare them to Rolos? I do like Rolos, but it’s completely another level!
Beh, lo sneakers è buonissimo però eh. 😊
I'm Italian but Snikers are the best thing on earth xD
Snickers can be a legit meal replacement too!
@@AltCTRLF8 In which world?
@corsaro nero I didn't read about this, gonna check for more informations
@corsaro nero oh well, i bought Them recently so i Guess It was Just a minor Number of package. Sht happens everywhere. The fact Is they taste so fkn good.
See's chocolates are the best! hands down. but i think they are only in so. cal.
He really used “let’s get ready to rumble” everyone knows it’s all about “iiiiiiiitttsss time!!”
Nononono the best chocolate comes from Switzerland and from artisanal chocolate makers not from big industries... I agree that Italian can cook but please don’t eat these chocolates ughhhhhhhhhh
this is so true. Industrial chocolates are not a good starting point, but I guess they wanted to use brands that at least some people would recognize.
Belgium left the chat😂😂
I looove kinderrrrrr so much, its so popular in iran 😊❤
I don't like any of those European chocolates that have those weird fillings (Baci, Lindt, etc.) and French or Swiss chocolate is the best!
kim mancha schifoso
@@giuseppebibbo1883 addirittura?😂😂
You should have presented him with Ferrero Rocher, those and the Mon cherie are really well liked here in Portugal too. I call you out for a 2nd round!
I stumbled on to this channel cause I was looking for a pasta recipe. Now I'm totally caught up in all this drama! It's like fear factor for food.
Italian people love their food so much that they close that only theirs is good. I live in Italy and I must accept that Swiss chocolate and some of the United States are much better.
Italians wants to be superior in food haha. They doesn't appreciate others food!
she looks so strict :D i cant help myself :D im kinda scared of her ^^
Hah! My automagic response as well: "Reese's!"
Although I prefer the Trader Joe's dark chocolate version overall. Still, peanut butter cups FTW!
Yes i love TJ's dark chocolate peanut butter cups.
Agree with Eva ! Love Italian chocolates 🍫💕
That Kinder Bueno 🥰 Love those, We also have these here in The Netherlands but there EXPENSIVE but tasty
Buon appetito
American chocolate is pretty bad.
May I recommend Ethel M's creme liqueur collection to compete with the liquor cherries you tried; the cherry cordials with brandy are amazing! Also, for a coffee caffeine kick with your chocolate, try Ghirardelli chocolate covered espresso beans!
Greetings from Ireland🥔! Love ye’re channel, ye’re very entertaining! Would love to see a Q and A/ how you both met! Keep up the great work, Ciao bellas!
