BEST Things to do in MUNICH! 🏰 Neuschwanstein & Linderhof Castle Full-Day Trip: gyg.me/lskQVDkt ⚽ City Bus Tour & FC Bayern Munich Allianz Arena Tour: gyg.me/DupkxLN8 😳 Night Watchman's Tour: gyg.me/taOkQ9ma 🚌 Munich Hop-On Hop-Off Tour: gyg.me/qN6haiLF 🚶🏼♀ Walking Tour Old Town and Viktualienmarkt: gyg.me/qJcXhfZS
I visited this museum as a teen almost 40 years ago and loved it. Returned with my young children 20 years ago and found it disappointing without the interactive exhibits. That was because we were in a different part of the museum. The lack of information in other languages made it very difficult to navigate. Only now, in the age of the internet, did I discover there were so many different areas. I’m visiting Munich today. The weather forecast is rain all day. This museum looks like a perfect way to spend the day. Thanks for an informative video!
We couldn’t believe how big it was! We’d think we were done with a floor and then would find a whole extra wing of exhibits. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a rainy day, we hope you enjoy!!
We didn’t fill in anything and had no issues! We were there pretty much from open to close filming and never had anyone say anything to us. This was around June/July 2023 so I’m not sure if the rules have changed but we didn’t have any issues 😊
Loved seeing more of the museum. I think I already told you Kevin is very jealous as we had to race around there due to being on a group tour. It was pretty tragic and we were not impressed. I think we had about 1.5 hours !!
It is a bit of a shame that more attention is not paid to international guests (at least with English). But nice that you had some fun anyway. Fun Fact: Munich residents themselves consider their city to be very livable, but just in time for the weekend, many (not all) always flee to the near and far surroundings: in summer to the lakes outside (Starnberger Lake, Ammersee, etc.) and then in winter to the mountains for skiing.
For the most part it was pretty good but we were a little surprised the planetarium didn’t run any shows in English given a lot of tourists visit the museum! We loved it nonetheless! Oooo that’s interesting. A bit like melbourne, we all love living there but also seem to try to escape for breaks at any opportunity 😄
It used to have a giant replica of a mine located underneath the museum which was really realistic. It was closed 2 years ago. My favourite exposition used to be the lightning show, which also got closed . The lightning show will return but the mine is gone forever😢.

I notice you guys had a camera. Did you have to fill-in a filming application to be able to walk around and film?

Omg 1.5 hours is NOTHING!!! That is such a shame ☹️ you’ll definitely have to go back now!
I was there as a student and it is one of the most impressive museum experiences I have ever had.
agreed!

As a person from munich i have to say that used to be better.
Oh really!! We were very pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it so we’d be very interested to know what it used to be like!

@user-dr7ub8gy7u oh wow!! That sounds really cool! We’ll have to return one day to see the lightning show once it’s back!
