As riveting as the running journey itself is- the amount of authenticity you bring to this series makes it absolutely incredible to watch. Cheering you on every single week here and can’t wait to see how you perform in Paris!!
Thank you. Staying present, true, and in reality is one of the hardest but most important skills I've learned as an athlete and as a person. And at the end of the day, I am happy with who I am and how I represented myself and others.
One of the things I love about this series is watching y'all run streets/roads. The paces are super human, but you are also out for a run on the roads, just like us regular people. Thank you for the access into this build. Rooting for you guys. And Lenny
I may be your oldest fan (83) but definitely know a great thing when I hear and watch! I love it all - with great admiration and inspiration!!! Grandma Gerri❤
I saw you coming out of Hobble Creek Canyon the other day after finishing my own practice and you gave a wave as you passed by. I coach the XC team at Merit Academy (a Springville charter school) and it's been cool to share your videos with my students and see them get inspired by watching an elite athlete with elite character in their own backyard. Best of luck to you and your teammates, we'll be watching and supporting y'all in Paris!
Connor looks like he exerts twice the amount of energy of everyone else running by his form. I was a high level cross country runner in high school and just got back into it 2 months ago after 12 years off. Your videos are inspiring me to trust the process. Keep pushing and best of luck!
Theirs just something so genuine and relatable with this series. Obviously our paces are different but damn if the struggle isn’t the same!! Also, major kudos to ASICS, NIKE and PUMA for allowing all you guys to film and share together ❤️
What a time to be a running fan. The access to incredible athletes has never been better, and getting to see what kind of people they are away from the races and watching them putting in the work is so inspiring. Keep up the great work Clayton, excited to see what happens in Paris!
“Focus on things you can control. At the end of the day you’re the one who can work harder than anyone else and work smarter than anyone else.” This one hits really hard. I’ve been listening to this thousand times but hearing this from such a great yet humble olympian really puts things into perspective. Thank you, Clayton, for another epic episode! I can’t get enough of the beautiful landscape too ❤️❤️
What a great series. Hats off to everyone involved. I love the "simple", silent shots, where the only sound comes from their feet hitting the ground. It just transports the essence of running so well
I’m glad you like those shots, I worry that it may not be super engaging to the average viewer but it adds a raw view into their training that I think is invaluable to runners and those who are paying attention.
It works super well with the story telling. Workouts are well explained, Clayton is incredible authentic. They are there for the work. The shots transport that
Trail runner: Nah man! 1,400'/mile is legit steep... oh, that's for the whole race? Seriously, this is amazing work and so fun to watch. Rooting for you hard :)
Absolutely love this series, and I anxiously wait for the next one. Stay strong, stay on target. By the way, your brother in law, my chiropractor who keeps me tuned up, told me about this series when the first one was released and I’ve been hooked ever since. The transparency is what makes this so great and real.
I just want to thank you for putting out content like this. I ran sprints in HS track but didn’t become a “runner” until this last year. Your videos are so inspiring because you show that the secret is, there is no secret. Just hard work. I really like what you said about Talent not being real. Can’t wait to cheer you on during the Paris race! ✝️✝️
As the number 1 fan of all current and former BYU distance runners I love this series ...and great to see Casey and Davin back from a long period of injury!
I sense a drop of self doubt every now and again. Let the trials be your proof. You dont need random internet people telling you this, but you are much better and much more capable than you are currently thinking you are.
So cool to see Rory on here! Conner reminds me a lot of Parker Stinson with the high back kick that makes it seem like he’s always sprinting! Fantastic series.
My favourite channel on UA-cam at the moment. Love watching you guys. Will be rooting for you at the Olympics. 💪🏻 A South African living in Australia. 😊
I have just binged every episode and wish THERE WAS MORE! This is one of the best series I’ve seen on youtube. You’ve got a new fan (I am from AUS) and will be cheering all 3 of you on come race day (assuming I like the new guy haha ;) ) - Ashby

Killing it man. Tough days will come, but it's all part of the journey. I love everything you bring to this series, the drive, authenticity, everything. You guys fired me up to continue progressing on my own running path, I hope to come back to Utah soon.
I'm preparing for my first marathon and I find your series incredibly inspiring, as well as educational. Thanks for putting these videos together and best of luck through the rest of the build! One thing I was wondering was, how do you determine when to do your workouts on grass, track, or road/trail?
Thanks! I'm usually rocking my OG Olympic trials glasses from Sunski. This week I was testing out some Rokas. Still waiting on that sunglasses sponsorship...
The hills plus the summer heat seem like such a grind! You're so disciplined, Clayton. Please continue to stay healthy! I'm always in awe of your entire running community and Ashley's recipes. Also Utah is so beautiful! The long run scenes have been purely poetic and peaceful. Do the locals recognize you all when you run past them? :)
Yes, the heat is coming and it's tough-but just what I need to prep for Paris. I've got a good village to keep me motivated, fed and healthy. Feeling grateful! We definitely get some cheers when we're out on the roads. The running community is the best!
I wonder if it would be beneficial to just train alone for 4-5 weeks… I understand that it’s good to have other guys pull you along and motivate you, I also think that cumulative experience of running with people who are slightly faster than you can contribute to settling for the 2nd place (when, maybe, just maybe there could be potential for being even faster)… this is more of a rhetorical question… Best of luck to you! We’ll be in Paris to support you guys!!🇺🇸🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️
Definitely good things to think through. I've always been in programs where I've been surrounded by high performers-through high school and college and now the professional scene. It takes mental strength, but I think it ultimately has made me faster.
This is kinda an annoying comment but the main takeaway is clayton is unjustly comparing himself to others. Your coach is right its way better to not he fit enough right now. Put in the work and worry about how you compare to you. Not mantz or others (: the fitness will return homie

Always a good day when Clayton drops a new video. This is hands down my favorite running channel right now
Really proud of you, Conner, Rory training for Olympic marathon together. Keep pushing!
Best thing on UA-cam, hands down. Well done ASICS! Authentic and inspirational hero, and directed incredibly well!
