I have to agree. Max level is 190 and it seems a lot of work and math to tame something so easy to tame. My question is what if you aggro two or three a once by accident? To be honest I tame 190’s all the time and I don’t do any of that stuff. I even use primitive tek gear. I have a 80k health poison wyvern that when I aggro it just takes the damage easy and I just shoot it with a tek rifle while it’s distracted. Ya it might be more risky but at least it doesn’t make my head spin with math. Not only that but on a 190 which is 5 mutagen to tame, about the third to forth barrel roll it throws you off, even if you feed it perfectly, then you have to get back on before he kills you and finish the tame. And just an FYI, you can use your boost punch to move faster in space. Oh and I almost forgot, you can get on them by using your grappling hook.
Don't know about official but on private server pvp/pve you can use the skiff craft tractor beam to immobilize the Voidwyrm. Once it's locked in you dismount the craft and cause damage to the creature and he/she can't retaliate. Once you bring it's health down to the sweet spot you release it from the tractor beam. And then pursue the critter to ride it in the taming process ridiculously easy!
A couple things to note about these damn monstrosities. Avoid the tunnel entrances as you cannot mount them near it, if you get caught in electric attack move forward not away as they like to chain it if you are far enough, make sure you are near an asteroid as you cannot mount if it is out of stamina and the only way it gets it back is landing on one.
I use a cryod Rex with health points pumped into it make sure it’s on passive. Look for a wyrm. When he is aggressive to you. Throw the Rex out (that is cryod) get the wyrm to attack your Rex. Then shoot the wyrm with your weapon.
You start with a free usable tech suit just stay out it's range by boosting away as suit is faster than voidwyrm use a decent sniper. Rinse and repeat a lot cheaper than heavys. Just leave a bed as close as you can if you do die you can quickly fly back. Thanks for tips though still useful I think

This whole process was waaaaaaay over complicated . if you have to kite it to turrets just kite it to a traditional wyvern trap , keep ur distance , drain health with some sort of gun , then hop on and do tame while still in the trap . cant fix what aint broken

Just to attempt to continue the tame before it spontaneously dies for no apparent reason or despawns at midnight. That's if you manage to find one even worth taming. I spent hours the past 2 days try to get a max lvl they hit to hard to get that close to keep checking the damage and mount. The turret is a great idea tho I'll give him that but damaging the thing is not the real problem. Not to mention if you don't get the timing right and mount it before it regens its health back above 10% which won't take long you can't tame it after that the prompt won't show up to ride no matter how close you get.

@@jacobparker1050 Yea well it did work in the end.. Think I had an Ascendant sniper/shotgun plus a reaper. I would ride the reaper until the Wyvern was low health then finish with my gun. It was just Back then I was playing only on Officials and lag was actually the culprit.. After many attempts I managed to capture a few. Was one of the last things I did before my life on ARK ended.. Waiting on ARK 2 now! 🦕

It’s better to trap the reaper queen and use a tame and wait for the pink mist because reapers regen health fast and they have a resistance to damage while not by light

You cannot trap them in structures because they absolutely shred even tek structures.

They will not fallow me to the turrets, almost as if the AI avoids them. I’ll shoot it and it’ll fallow angrily, I get to the turret and it runs off.

This doesn't work on ps4. You can't view a wild dino health without getting really close and using a magnifying glass.

Haven’t seen charge nodes or glowbugs on gen2, i don’t think they are on this map. You can charge batteries on a stryder.

Voidwyrms SHRED Skiffs. A lvl 22 destroyed mine in seconds, and even if you got a shield it can still hit your Skiff but does less damage.
Not on official pvp can you imagine how op that would be skiffs are faster than almost everything you’d shred
