I have a pretty large hanging closet, I didn’t need that much space. I put a 4 drawer plastic organizer in the bottom of the closet. One of the large drawers hold all my dog toys, leash etc. the other 3 drawers are used for batteries, tools etc. I love my drawers.
I’ve been camping over 40 years but you have some really great ideas! Thank you

@@MakingMyAbodeOTRI was coming here to comment this and it was the first comment! I just want to add you can get really pretty ones with two tones for instance. They would be affordable and pretty good quality for you to get at WMI: Home Goods (I'm Canadian so it's Home Sense, here) Marshalls/Winners. Amazon or similar online shopping options likely exist too. First time on your channel. Subscribed too 🙂

Two suggestions; I think it was tip 9 or 10 - the wrangle trays. Get some of the rubber nonskid tuff that comes in a roll. Cut it just smaller. It won’t show but you can leave tray on the counter during travel and it won’t move.
For your husband’s stuff, get a cigar box or look for an old table top humidor. Looks nice, usually a nice stained wood. Same thing with non skid under it.

For dog accessories - clothes, toys, treats, flea/tick/heartworm meds, stain removers - I store everything in those cube storage containers. The ones I have are a nice, sturdy faux leather material with an insert in the bottom which keeps the container rigid & open. Some versions come with lids, as well. They're cute, lightweight (great for reducing weight), & my dog & I have been using them actively for the past 2.5 years without having to replace them :)

I agree with you on all these ideas! I too use the clear plastic containers for canned goods.
I will go thru n check dates on cans and put the oldest into a bin that I know I should use first.
I have a cabinet over my stove top. I put a knife magnet (harbor freight) under the cabinet. It holds a few knives n stainless steel silverware etc. Just a few things easy to grab when cooking.
I love your clips ideas. I cannot tell you how many 'chip clips' I've had that fall apart first time I use it. No Bueno!
Thank you for showing your ides! Safe Travels.

We use a lot of silicone collapsable items: dish drying rack ( also fits inside the sink), grill tub with build in cutting board that you can also use as washing tub or carrying tub, bowls, bucket. I like that they collapse for easy of storage. I also use cube with storage inside and removable top for storing dog supplies. Top is used as extra sitting but lid can be flipped and used as gaming space for dice game or checkers or other games. We also use diaper specific sealable trash container in a bathroom for toilet tissues or feminine stuff to keep these odor under control and tissues out of black tank. I use varies depth tool plastic boxes to store varies size items for the kitchen because I can change width or length inside compartments and safely lock the items to transfer or store if needed.

You have some really great ideas for organization. I want to see your curtain video. I currently have combo day shades / black out blinds. I don’t care for them during the spring and summer but they are great in winter. I have been wanting to make some cute curtains with linen and noticed you used it looks like 3m hooks and curtain or tension rods ! I love that idea.I may venture that idea or something similar. In my lounge area I have framing with upholstery fabric around the windows. I’ve wanted to remove the fabric but until I can save some money and add storage on top and remove all the fabric that will have to wait. I am curious though if I could do 3m hooks especially with a lightweight linen .

My question is... all the little trinkets, coffee, salt & pepper, air fryer coffee maker etc. Basicly everything you have sitting out on counter tops. Where do you store all that when traveling? I'm pretty sure it has to be stored somewhere other than open areas.

Hobby Lobby has wooden crates that would work. You can paint it any color you want.

Do you keep the ingredients or instructions of the foods you have decanted? Ive tried different ways to cut and keep them but it becomes messy or hard to find

I don't...for that exact reason. But the things I decant don't have cooking instructions that I need to keep like pasta, flour, sugar, rice, oatmeal...I cook so often it's just muscle memory now. However I do have certain recipes or quick instructions that I refer to often that I keep written on 3x5 cards and clipped with a binder clip. I keep them right in the pantry area. That might work for package instructions 🤔😁

Sure! I found them at Walmart, the brand is Mainstays which is an exclusive Walmart brand. They come in all kinds of nice colors. Here is the link for the colors I have: :)

    What size are the napkins?

    • @MakingMyAbodeOTR
      @MakingMyAbodeOTR  4 місяці тому +1

They are 11x11, I got them on Amazon. They're actually reusable "papertowels" but they didn't stay on the roll very well, they work great as napkins! Here is the amazon link ~ amzn.to/4boyN22

Yes, it definitely does! It makes it more difficult for them to get into things.

At dollar tree they also carry metal chip clips usually by the checkout and it’s a package of 6-8. There is two packs by the kitchen stuff but the brightly colored metal wire ones are the good ones
