The latest infrastructure bill gives subsidy to private internet providers to update and extend fiber optic and land lines, mainly to rural areas with no service. The cost to extend and/or replace lines isn't profitable to the private internet service providers. It's like the Rural Electricity that Congress supported during F D.R.'s term that brought electricity to homes and communities that private electric companies couldn't because of the cost.... Gee's did you ever go to school?

Many families are still homeless & getting children to school has been a challenge. Many are home schooling. My kids have been in four schools in Maui since Aug, 8th. There are no missing children in Maui. I live in Lahaina.
