What’s even sadder is that Godfrey is grieving way more than is shown. Serosh represses rage and all other emotions, so the fact he is roaring when Godfrey holds Morgott shows that inside Godfrey is distraught and angry.
I always loved the dichotomy between Morgott and Mohg: "Because everyone hated him, he despised himself" "Because everyone hated him, he despised everyone"
Morgott just internalized his oppression to cope with his trauma, he tells himself that it's his fault and it's his choice. The Erdtree didn't choose him, well he chose himself to be it's protector. It's kinda funny how the thing this world needs most is a bunch of psychiatrists lol
The sad part is that Goldfrey (the apparition before Morgott) may have been created by Morgott himself. Which means Morgott really wanted his father to be back, help him and maybe become the Elden Lord again (considering Morgott places his crown on the throne). Morgott just wanted his father back... and we kill him before they can meet again. But the saddest part about Morgott is that he was legitimately blessed. Omen curse is no curse. It's a blessing of the Crucible which was later seen as a curse due to Golden Order. He may as well have been the most holy of all Demigods, but he was punished for it by being left for a time in the sewers and he hated HIMSELF for it. That is until he was released, most likely by the time Giants were still a threat since Godfrey knew him and he was banished after he beat the Giants and other enemies of Erd Tree. In his remembrance (japanese version) it's said that he didn't need anyone else's love to love in return. He just loved. So there were people that did love him. One of them was Godfrey, but the other may have been Godwyn... who was killed at the Night of the Black Knives. He tried to be a protector, he created Sentry's Torches to protect his other siblings from Godwyn's fate and yet... they all betrayed him and destroyed everything he loved and even then when he shows up in the throne room and calls his siblings traitors he still seems to have some actual care for them after all of that (outside of Rykard who may have taken more public role in killing Godwyn as part of his deal with Ranni which could have been start of his Blasphemy). Morgott was a good person that was betrayed by almost everyone around him. By his family that started destroying their life and breaking their world, by the Erdtree which wouldn't accept him due to his "curse" and by Golden Order which indoctrinated him into hating what he was blessed with. Morgott is probably one of the saddest characters in the game, if not THE saddest. A bitter person who has nothing, but hatred for himself and his family and the only thing he cares about is the thing that made his life miserable in the first place. And the only people that loved him are either dead (Godwyn who given that he befriended Dragons most likely cared little about curse on Morgott) or he never got to meet again after longing to see them again (Godfrey). At the end when we fight him he is legitimately left with nothing, but the crumbling city and his duty which is built on lies of the Greater Will. Pray for Morgott The Omen King, The Grace-Given. The True King of Leyndell and only worthy successor of Godfrey. A true heir. The only Demigod left that is worthy of being called Golden. Morgott the Golden Omen.
Another détail to prove that love... The CGI trailer "Story", where you could see Radahn and Malenia fight... That one scene where you see Morgott put a crown on the Elden throne... Godfey's crown. Canonically, he took control over lyndell when Marika was gone, but even then, all he ever did was to protect the city until his father returned.
@@sirjazz1268 Exactly. Forgot to put that detail there. Really makes me sad for Morgott AND Godfrey. They never could meet each other again. And what's even sadder is that Godfrey still loved Marika when he came back which is evident by one cut dialogue from his fight talking about him wanting to old her again. And Marika most likely loved him as well considering she never stopped calling him her lord and maybe he was the reason she started rebelling in the first place. In other words... We fucked over a family reunion... Ranni as well considering she killed Godwyn. Golden Lineage is by far the most tragic family.
I believe Morgott and Mohg were only able to escape the sewers due to the shattering, wich would mean they never met Godwyn before he was killed. Also,Morgott's disdain for Rykard is likely due to the fact that Rykard lead an incursion to Leyndell,Gideon mentions it as the greatest battle of the shattering, and vestiges of this battle can still be found in Altus Plateau, were you fight the Morgott mini bossfight, and in the way to mount Gelmir, were those frenzied Leyndell soldiers are fighting the iron virgins
"Brave Tarnished, thy strength befits a crown." I wasn't expecting to like this main story character this much. He looks like a stereotypical basic warrior trope but he's endearing.
High level of execution is more important than breaking well established tropes (especially if its just for the sake of subversion for no reason). Especially since there are so many tropes that are known and categorized now. Even Morgott has a trope though I'm uncertain whether it's categorized. Probably somewhere in the Martyr area.
The first Elden Lord, even with anger and fury in his heart, respects true strength. Godfrey is the only lord that i would truly say had a legitimate right to become Elden Lord besides us tarnished.
@@Cptsuccess good thing she's not after that and doesn't have an ending where she become elden Lord lol idek what you're on about. She becomes the replacement for Marika acting as the goddess for our tenor as elden Lord in her ending.
@@whitepeter619 through murdering godwyn in the most cowardly way, ranni takes control over everything for her personal agenda. idk why so many people like her.
I read a comment a few days ago that pointed out that when you find him, Godfrey certainly seems sad and mournful over the dead Morgott, but Serosh let’s put this massive roar. The commenter pointed out that Serosh might suppressed Godfrey’s true emotions, but what if he reflects what Godfrey is truly feeling. That perhaps that roar is Godfrey’s true emotion, unbridled anguish, sorrow, and anger at his sons death.
This^ same thing I think, when he goes to phase 2 serosh starts to manifest before Godfrey degrafts himself. His rage was so great, his bloodlust so thick, serosh began to materialize from the sheer power of those emotions. Yet, his son's murderer stands before him, a tarnished of no renown and possibly a comrade or descendant to him, Godfrey would not let anyone else mete out justice... I could only imagine how he felt.
@@connorryan2715 I almost feel like it is both of our graces pointing at each other and it almost looks like his is stronger. When you walk up to graces the way it points is from the grace to the next important place to go from our perspective which is pointing from Godfrey to us. Makes me think he is now more important to guide for the erdtree than we are.
Morgott reminds me of how some people choose to deal with their circumstances in life. Mohg chose to turn the rejection he was given over the course of his life into an undeniable rage and hatred. Which is a valid reaction. But Morgott instead chooses to still love his family even if he is also rejected. He took the high road, so to say. Rather than place blame on everyone else for their (unjustified) hatred for him and his kind, he simply takes it on the chin but does sadly internalize his own contempt for himself and what he is. I'm saying all of this from a more psychological standpoint. Morgott and Mohg are just two sides of the same coin.
They mirror eachother in a lot of things, Morgott is a dex build with holy incantations while Mohg is a strengh build with "demonic" incantations, Mohg also wears a fancy robe while Morgott wears a tattered cloak and so on
If you notice when Godfrey holds Morgott, his body kind of withers away. According to lore, before you set free Destined Death to the Lands Between, only a select number of "races" could be absorbed by the Erdtree (what was considered Death after Marika took Death away from the Lands). Omen and Misbegotten, for example, are usually rejected by the Erdtree. In this we can see that this wasn't the case anymore, and be it for the actions of the Tarnished or simply for the will of the Erdtree, Morgott's body was finally absorbed. It kind of looks like his body turns into a guidance of grace as well. At least it looks like some form of light is pointing from Godfrey to the Tarnished. Maybe Godfrey finally got his grace back when he realized that the Tarnished had killed one of his sons (well, a few of them), and that brought to Godfrey the light of grace, the will to fight, the flame of ambition, which he had lost when he was banished, and which Morgott wanted to extinguish from the player. It came back to his eyes for the last time in his life. This game is kind of poetic not gonna lie
You're the first person i've seen so far who seems to have noticed Godfrey's love of Morgott. honestly that scene was so touching when i got to Godfrey that it made me tear up. Morgott is a really underappreciated character both in lore and by the players, he just wanted to be loved. And he was, by Godfrey. he really deserved better and i feel like his story is one of the biggest tragedies in the elden ring narrative
It seems interesting that Radagon's son Radahn admired Godfrey and became a powerful warrior (in imitation of Godfrey) while Morgott, being Godfrey's son, defended the Erdtree and was, thus, a "leal hound of the Erdtree" much as Radagon was/is. It is a strange sort of criss-crossed step-patrilineal inheritance going on in the Marika family.
Ohh, thats a great oberservation! Can't believe I haven't noticed that. Lets hope in the future, we can shed some lights on the relationships that's were not often talked about, like Radagon and Radahn for example, even if Radahn is proud of being Radagon's lineage, I don't think he would not have been too thrilled for his father to leave Rennala only to re-marry the God who banished his sacred idol, which would complicate matters. We shall see.
Basically Morgott is Godfrey and Mohg turned out more like Marika. Morgott became honorable and respecting of even Godrick while Mohg became evil and twisted like his mother
Saw on Reddit but when Morgott dies in the cutscene with Godfrey you see his guiding grace and it flows towards you (the player/tarnished) meaning that the Erdtree's guidance doesn't direct him towards the Lord Throne but towards you, and stopping the Tarnished. A fun little effect from the Greater Will manipulating us all, even the demigods. I think its the only time we see someone else's guiding grace but I'm not positive.
@@thegk-verse4216 I think I remember one line where an NPC asks if you, the player character, can still see the guidance of gold or something. So that would imply that maybe not all tarnished can actually see that? But I could be remembering that completely wrong, I'm only on my first playthrough so take that with a grain of salt Edit: I am misremembering how it was said or brought up, but Ofnir does say something to the effect which implies not all tarnished can see the guidance of grace
My favorite line in the entire game is the one written on Morgott's remembrance; "He loved not in return, for he was never loved, but nevertheless, love it he did." Such a tragic story, a disposable being that fought against everything and everyone, managed to become a king due to his prowess in battle, and as such being able to protect the one thing he loved, just to be rejected by it. My favorite character on the game by far.
Yeah, bro That’s true After his final words to me in Leyndell I respected him with bow emote, because he deserved much more after everything he has gone through I really like him
Marika, "Hey Godfrey, you're a badass, come be my lord." Godfrey, "Okay, cool." Marika, "But you're gonna have to calm the fuck down, so I'ma give you a cat to calm you down." Godfrey, 'calms down' Marika, "you weren't supposed to do that."
Marika is just literaly every woman ever in existence Finds strong badass husband Commands him to nerf himself He quiets down and accepts defeat Tries to be "better" and what she wished for Does literally everything, fights wars Then one they thr stupid bitch is like: YOU ARE NOT THE MAN YOU USED TO BE OR WHO I FELL IN LOVE WITH I WANT TO BREAK UP
@@Seattletyy93 either way, Godfrey got used and badly. and I am still trying to figure out why you never see him before the final fight. Honestly, if any pair of bosses need a talk it out option for their fight it's Morgott and Godfrey.
Morgott is a pretty tragic person. Despised by his mother (its clear Godfrey mourns and loves him) and cast aside. Clearly his siblings had trouble, and he lives under an ideology that wants to pretend he doesn't exist...and is still loyal? That sounds like someone so desperate for love and so desiring of acceptance They will put up with abuse and go to ridiculous lengths to be acceptable. Godfrey mourns his death and I think perhaps that he, more than most, knows the fickle and, ultimately, pointlessness of trying to serve the corrupt golden order ...perhaps Godfrey wished Morgott to carve his own path, after being betrayed by Marika/greater Will he must also know that this is all a corrupt con to hold power over people
It never once states he and Morg was despised by their mother. It states the Marika was having doubts about the Golden Order which more than likely happen after the outer god told them to exile the twins into the sewers
@@uhaters6116 that's true and I'm speculating that. It never says anything about Marikas motives towards godfrey and her Omen children so it could go either way; we know godfrey had to leave and marika chose radagon in his stead to have more god children...not that it worked well. Perhaps she went against the greater will for that or perhaps because she wanted all influence for herself? Unless we get more confirmation Marika is either an awful villain whose manipulating people just as the great will manipulated and used her or a saviour trying to free the world from the greater will...who knows
@@bengough6772 Marika is basically an older version of Ranni as she was chosen by the greater will to hoist the elden ring and the elden beast never given a choice in the matter. She was a numen a group that are not with the greater will. She was the one who truly stole the ruin of death and had Hewg chained to make a god slayin weapon to kill the Elden Beast and probably Radagon too. Ranni did sabotage Marika's plan also and created weapons to kill her body and kill her two fingers.
I love the way Morgott and Mohg diverged from the same circumstances. Morgott was honorable and loyal, all while despising himself for what he was born as. Mohg, on the other hand, learned to love himself and his cursed blood, literally gaining power from it, but used it to directly oppose the Golden Order and the Greater Will.
One of my favorite pieces of Elden Ring fanart depicts Morgott as a child, wearing a hooded cloak and having a somber look on his face...while gently holding his father's hand.
There's an interesting detail when morgott calls out the other demigods as traitors he doesn't include his brother. He probably see's him as just another omen
Most likely because his twin brother was "unknown" to the world, for all he knew, Mohg was a failure like he himself, certainly not a Lord or someone who was supposed to uphold the golden order. He doesnt have a Throne representing him, why would he, both of them were considered non existent. We dont know how the 2 of them escaped, if they escaped together or at different times or if they even knew of each others existence. Mohg wanted to create a Dynastie and was obsessed with Miquella while Morgott became the Ruler of Leyendel. He was unable to enter the Earth tree and slowly witnessed how the world around him was dying while the others "didnt even try" to restore the order. That being said, you do encounter Mohg in the sewers where he was supposed to be the entire time so he was indeed just a locked up Omen like all the others. Even Offnir only knows the shard bearer as "The Lord of Blood" not as Mohg though he knows that "The veiled King" is refering to Morgott. Perhaps Mohg escaped when everything was already going down south.
It's my headcanon that if it wasn't for Godfrey morgot and mohg would've been treated no differently than the other omen all horns removed and locked underground for life, to this very day, with his status as elden lord having them freed far earlier, maybe this act of rebellion caused him to be banished and become tarnished.
You are so wrong. Godfrey became tarnished after the defeating the enemies and was banished also their mother is a full blown god and I think they themselves escaped also another thing to correct you on is omen who were nobility did not had their horns removed
@@shamsulhaqramzi378 That is correct, but it makes me wonder how both Morgott and mogh are so powerful, know how to fight and have all these abilities. I mean, their demigod status could only bring them so far, without some guidance they could have never become this powerful. Makes you wonder, if someone might have been their mentor in the time that they were prisoners of the golden order. Maybe a trustworthy captain of Godfreys army, or Godfrey himself
@@derkaffeenator9172 They probably were out of the sewers when war with Giants was still a thing. Morgott uses Giant Crusher which is a weapon specifically made to fight Giants so he may have participated in that war.
Morgott deserves his own ending as elden lord more than any character in game that isn't even arguable he's literally the most honorable loyal knight of the royal bloodline, all betrayed the golden order except morgott
He may be the most loyal but the Golden Order worships the Greater Will. From what I've seen, the Greater Will is pretty much evil. It wants to be worshipped and command everyone
@@moonman726 yeah you missed the point though, morgott was more loyal to the golden order leyndell then he was the greater will, I'm pretty sure he was more loyal to godfrey as well as it clearly shows in the fight with godfrey him and morgott were close and it wouldn't make sense for him to loyal to the greater will since the greater will doesn't except omen into the golden order but regardless he loved the erdtree and leyndell and even possibly tried to become elden lord, because even after his fight he tells us we can't become elden lord and he should know
He's like a slave who loves his master, the order does not deserve his devotion. I see this as a character flaw, he's upholding a flawed terrible order responsible for many atrocities. It makes it worse that he himself is shunned by the order he protects.
What I love so much about Elden Ring is the fact you get to meet and fight the people you hear and read about. For example you see pictures and stories all over the place of Malenia and you actually get to meet her! It's just so cool!
Love the content, totally underrated. I recently came across Morgott for the second time and enjoyed the fight. As a twin, I hate that Morgott gets the short end of the stick and Mohg goes off the deep end. Can’t blame them tho. Crazy how even Mileania and Miquella are cursed (scarlet rot) but they’re still revered as gods. Seemed like Miquella and Morgott were probably some of the most selfless characters in the game, would love to find out in future dlc if Miquella really was a loving twin who wanted to help Mileania or just himself.
Miquella's power is to pacify all, and is theorized to be St.Trinia as well. His wish is to cure the rot from his sister, and knew the Erdtree and the Golden Order could not save her. Thus he rebel and left, seeked creating a new tree called Haligtree using his own blood, but before the tree could flourish, he was stole away by Mohg when Malenia was warring with Radahn. Making the Haligtree incomplete and hollow, a dying husk.
I think an added, interesting bit of Morgott is that perhaps part of the reason he fights so hard to uphold the Golden Order- the order that shunned him- is because if it falls, if the Golden Order is supplanted, if the Golden Order is not the correct path, then that means all his suffering was for nothing. He fights to uphold it because if he lets it fall, what was even the point?
Shunned and cast out, loved by no-one. And yet he still remained loyal to the kingdom and the Erdtree right to the end, unlike his fellow demigods. But perhaps Godfrey does understand to some extent: he was cast out and Tarnished the second every threat to the Golden Order was dealt with, but even after all that he came back to attempt to reclaim his place as Elden Lord.
Morgott has tremendous similarities with Gwyndolin, the former being shunned by his mother the latter by his father, both of them were born different and they see this as a curse and both are trying to perpetuate the legacy of a family they never truly belonged to, despite really wanting to.
I find Margit/Morgott a really cool character because if he were to be your friend, he's the kind of friend that will stay loyal to you even through darkest times
Did you notice that despite mentioning godfrey lost his grace and guidance, that once morgott’s body turned into grace, the light points to your tarnished, because that grace belongs to godfrey as the first tarnished and indicates that you are his next challenge. Like the subtle depth in that detail is crazy.
Wilful traitors, all. Thy kind are all of a piece. Pillagers. Emboldened by the flame of ambition. Have it writ upon thy meagre grave: Felled by King Morgott! Last of all kings.
Morgott's lines in his second phase hit me so hard the first time, I immediatly thought he was a tragic character and an outcast that felt himself guilty... "Such shame I cannot bare". His dying words simply confirmed that.
I love the bosses in this game that you fight that don’t actually hate you they’re just fighting you out of choice or because they have to e.g Godfrey and Radahn
Bro I literally love Morgott with all my heart like no joke and this honestly made me cry. Like the fact that he was basically abandoned by his siblings and left basically to rot and fight for what most would consider to be a lost cause is just heart breaking. Good god I wish there was a way we could’ve saved him somehow. Morgott, you are loved
My two most beloved characters of Elden Ring, honorable warriors. Their voice actor did a spectacular job, every line, filled with emotion, they were like a gem to me.
Subbed. Rule of 3: this is the third video I've seen from you that I like, so subbed. Keep the lore coming dude. I just got the game like 2 weeks ago and im obsessing over it like I did Skyrim. I wanna know everything lol.
when I first saw Morgott I basically fell in love with this funny omen dude. I didn’t care how many times this dude smacked me around (it took me 3 tries to finally beat him) and at first I was kind of sad that he was gone I didn’t listen to his “I shall remember thee tarnished” monologue and when I saw him in leyndell I was like “OH SHI HE’S BACK.”
Thank you for making these. Helps me understand the backstory behind these boss fights. One of the hardest lore for me to understand from just playing.
he would've became a Lord of Perfect Order im sure of it, no gods whimsicles and schemes, just plain Perfect Golden Order age, until he dies and and a new era begins
I think it's interesting that when Morgott is naming his siblings off while calling them willful traitors, he doesn't list Mohg. In part because Mohg wouldn't have had a throne under the Golden Order to sit at, but also because I don't think he considered Mohg a traitor. Sure Mohg also left, but Mohg still has the apparition of himself in the depths of the Leyndell Sewers to help protect the entrance to the Frenzied Flame from intruders.
It’s been 3 months since I finished the game and still learning so so much more from the intricate details of this game. Truly truly magnificent. Thanks for the breakdown
What saddens me most is that at Morgott's dying breath, the omen curse lifts, and he turns human again without any sign of the Omen's horns, as if the curse mocks him. Now, you have the thing you desired most, but just at the edge of death. Absolutely tragic.
What I love about Godfrey the most is that grace points him to you instead of it pointing you towards him, showing with you his grace, his purpose, lies within his final opponent...you
I also like the fact that both father and son were their true selves on the battlefield. Godfrey was always a warrior king and need Serosh to suppress his desires, and Morgott assumed the identity of Margit, in name alone, so that he could fight as himself to protect his home.
I want so badly for the final boss of a souls game to be a fight like the last half of the Godfrey fight but you have to use a specific weapon like rykard just a legendary caestus and the boss with no weapon just hand to hand combat and have some sick moveset for the caestus
This video was super well done, made me think a lot about the implications of the entire thing, i wish more of this information was accessible through dialogue
That was a really interesting video and very well put together. I am literally loving all the Elden Ring lore videos, I cannot believe how in depth it is. I played it through once and missed a thousand things in terms of the story. When I play it again, everything will mean so much more. Cheers mate.
The moment when Godfrey had Morgott in his hands i felt really really bad, sad for be a son slayer. As a father myself this was really hard to take. No souls game or moment make me cry before... strong feelings yes. But with this.... to much...
I wonder why mough’s horns are so much more prominent than Margot’s? And why he makes those snarling noises while Morgott spoke so smoothly? Eh, probably just a design choice
Because Morgott represses his omen curse, and uses his sword to contain it, which is why the sword gets that that stuff around it, while Mohg fully embraces his curse. Morgott would also try to speak in a more dignified manner, because of shame, while Mohg wouldnt care.
I found your channel by accident through the algorithm, probably because I follow so many Soulsborne based channels like Vaatividya but your content is superb. I really like your takes and the way you edit your videos makes the story telling super effective.
This video is amazing and I'm loving how many people are becoming Lore Masters for the Soulsborne games. This is some Prepare To Cry content right here
I think that Omens originate from an outer god called mother of truth: "The mother of truth craves wounds. When Mohg stood before her, deep underground, his accursed blood erupted with fire, and besotted with the defilement that he was born into." So the similarity to the crucible talismans is accidental. Crucible talismans are a mixture of all creatures while Omens only have horns.
Uhm... Did ypu forget that Mohg has wings almost identical to the curible aspect, and Morgott a tail almost identicalbto the crucible aspect? Also, the Formless mother was interested in Mohg because of his blood. It doesn't imply anywhere that she is responsible for tze creation of the Omen. If that was the case, why is she only connected to Mohg in the game?
@@sebastianb.3978 "But Mohg's rune is soaked in accursed blood, from his devout love for the wretched mire that he was born into far below the earth." This quote says it directly. It is from Mohg rune. I interpreted Mogh wings as him evolving into the champion of the mother of truth. Once they sprout we can no loner use the shackle on him because he is no longer an Omen. Also no they aren't identical to the crucible aspects... they are very much different. Mohg's wings for example have those horns and are black.
@@sebastianb.3978 Take into account as well the descryption of the seedbed curse: "Curse grown on a corpse killed and defiled by the Dung Eater. A tender pox afflicted with omen horns." That just doesn't strike me as something that has connection to the crucible but it fits the formless mother.
4:34 I think that is Radahn. The gauntlets look exactly like Radahn's. And that is not a young Radahn, it happened DURING the shattering. The redmane soldier's helmet also don't look like red hair but rather red feathers and you can obviously see the golden lion shoulder cap which is not present with any of Radahn's redmane soldiers.

I believe the storm lord was mean to be the stormhawk king, Marika intended to put out the giants flame which only the stormhawk king was capable of, but he instead killed it, making it impossible to put out the giants flame and forcing marika to compromise with having a giant guard it instead. It could also be a factor as to why he was cast away, as his killing of the storm king showed that he was untamable and unfit to be lord.

😭😭😭😭
That comment needs to be pinned.

I wasn't expecting to like this main story character this much.

@@williamhanna9718 I might or might not have used his sons sword made from his sons blood to kill him as well ... I am a bad person
Definitely this^ their runes are even incomplete unless you put them together.
Edit not gameplay wise but lore wise

Well by this point the only son of Godfrey you need to kill is Morgott, Godwyn was killed by Ranni and Mohg doesn't need to be defeated
You're the first person i've seen so far who seems to have noticed Godfrey's love of Morgott. honestly that scene was so touching when i got to Godfrey that it made me tear up.

The Tarnished is as much of a boss to Godfrey as he is to us. No wonder he uses such a respectful tone towards us while we fight him.

One thing that you missed was that morgott was born graceless but was able to earn his right to be blessed with grace unlike us he earned it.
There can be no betrayal if there is no alliance to start with.
He specifically called out the others with a chair at the Erd Tree Council, I don't think Mohg would have had one.
He's not a Traitor because he never was with them
It's really as simple as this, all his siblings but Mohg participated in the siege of Lyndell.

He's like a slave who loves his master, the order does not deserve his devotion. I see this as a character flaw, he's upholding a flawed terrible order responsible for many atrocities. It makes it worse that he himself is shunned by the order he protects.
Godfrey and Morgott dying in the same place is poetic and fitting, both shunned from what they loved
Miquella wasn't cursed with scarlet rot, he was cursed with forever being a child
@@PurpleAppleDrink so new dlc would be hatching miquella and using his blood on the hollow tree for a new ending
Miquella is NOT selfless.
Dude your in depth lore videos have become such a highlight in my day. You have a great voice as well as great editing skills. Keep up the great work!

I never thought I would be such a lore freak, but this story is so interesting
I think it's interesting that when Morgott is naming his siblings off while calling them willful traitors, he doesn't list Mohg. In part because Mohg wouldn't have had a throne under the Golden Order to sit at, but also because I don't think he considered Mohg a traitor. Sure Mohg also left, but Mohg still has the apparition of himself in the depths of the Leyndell Sewers to help protect the entrance to the Frenzied Flame from intruders.

That bit of Skyrim music at the end, was a nice touch!
I want so badly for the final boss of a souls game to be a fight like the last half of the Godfrey fight but you have to use a specific weapon like rykard just a legendary caestus and the boss with no weapon just hand to hand combat and have some sick moveset for the caestus

Margott had a good ending. Notice when he died, he recieved one last blessibg from the erdtree. His horns were gone; he was no longer cursed.
Thanks for the Skyrim soundtrack at the end, one of the best ever. Fits very well with the ER universe.

This video is amazing and I'm loving how many people are becoming Lore Masters for the Soulsborne games.
This is some Prepare To Cry content right here
I think that Omens originate from an outer god called mother of truth:
"The mother of truth craves wounds. When Mohg stood before her, deep underground, his accursed blood erupted with fire, and besotted with the defilement that he was born into."
So the similarity to the crucible talismans is accidental.
@@sebastianb.3978 Take into account as well the descryption of the seedbed curse:
"Curse grown on a corpse killed and defiled by the Dung Eater. A tender pox afflicted with omen horns."
That just doesn't strike me as something that has connection to the crucible but it fits the formless mother.
Love the way you explain things and put things together! It makes it easier to engage with the video! Subbed
hey baby wake up, agtjake just posted
I’m awake now babe
Another epic "called it" on "Younger Radahn".
Wayyyy off, have you stood next to Radahn? He TOWERS over Morgott. They're two of my favorite bosses but Morgott doesn't quite compare to The Conqueror of the Stars.
@@maleniahateaccount7090
I have stood with Radahn while he rides his horse.
Gameplay wise, he's just about Morgott's size.
@@kenanperez3151 Hardcore tripping. His horse his tiny, he's not even being raised off the ground by it. It's young Radahn. Regular Radahn towers over him. Lore even states Radahn wasnt always as big as he is now. He's considered bigger than Godfrey, yet Godfrey towers over Morgott. Just doesn't add up man.
@@maleniahateaccount7090
Lore also states that Radahn was just small when he went to Sellia. The Radahn Morgott fought was DURING THE SHATTERING. He's already a big guy that time. Radahn have already conquered the stars during the shattering war.
Plus, morgott only escaped DURING the shattering. Radahn and Malenia's stalemate was also DURING the shattering. If Radahn was already big during the shattering war (as we can see in his and malenia's fight), then he's already also big guy during his fight with morgott because morgott was again released DURING the shattering.
My dog died recently. I loved him so much. Thanks for sharing man, much appreciated.
These videos are really good. Finally got elden ring on last christmas. My first souls game. I platinumed it and honestly probably the best game ever made. These videos are also really cool. +1 sub :)
That's 1to1 my Story of elden ring
Margot is literally me
4:35 That's Radahn, look at his bracers
I love Morgott! Such a sympathetic character.
Edit: Please gib pupper's extra pets! ❤️🥰
Would gib him or her all of the pets & sneak them treatos! Yes I am a sucker for good doggos. 🥰
9:55 “Placiducks”
Poor Margit never felt loved, been on his own so I get his anger, determination, and hate towards us tarnished (mohg on other hand definitely better off not existing he’s pure evil) and when Godfrey reunited he sees him as corpse who never met him and related to his pain even so, as much anger he must’ve felt he knew what must be done for him or us tarnished to win the fight for elden throne firsts fights with honor till he killed his ride or die companion and went all werewolf mode, so far he is most tragic character to me he deserve lotta maidens 😢
Id say Godfrey looked after him at least for some time, and truly loved him.
@@jonnymario771 says he never met him since birth most likely only knew of what he’s been doin and first he saw him was his deceased body fading away that’s just sad af what he’s been through and how Godfrey must felt there lotta characters that’s truly devoted and worthy of bein elden lord like Margit, blaidd, radhan (if he didn’t got cursed), malenia but she’s been born with rot plus abandoned honor by nuking radhan who still did his duty and never once hurt leornard while his brains was rotting out these certain characters by far my main favorites
I actually don't believe mogh is pure evil. They're just two different sides of the same coin. It is completely valid to hate the people who called you a curse and imprisoned you. And yes he did kidnap miquella but he handles him with care and even refers to him as "Dearest Miquella" I honestly think he was just using his blood magic to try and get him to grow. I think Rykard is more evil than Mohg. I don't think he's evil for his "blasphemous sin" because the golden order is definitely questionable but what he did after. On another note I believe a fully grown miquella was destined to be the strongest out of the demi gods and we will fight him in dlc someday.
6:22 The path of grace from Morgots body leadin Godfrey to you is mindblowing.
Morgott, chad of the golden order
