Thank you you've helped me so much I mean I've been using a iPhone 3 max that I jailbroke into android so I could get chrome and then through and yes yi uwill not believe this 7 dongles I put it in my calculator you should really make a guide how to do this the best way on phone
I would suggest taking it apart from the back. As long as you're careful not to damage the screen ribbon cable, it's not too difficult. I would suggest using compressed air to clean off the screen so there's no chance you accidentally smear glue residue on the screen (I did that and there's no fixing it). I made a teardown guide here: www.ifixit.com/Teardown/TI-84+Plus+CE+Teardown/118886
@@TheLastMillennial yep and it helped me open it up, but nothing I see is clear about taking out or taking off the screen or the plastic protector, a visual guide is usually best for me but if you can’t make a more in depth tutorial or video that’s alright, your videos are great
The second bullet point in step 5 mentions how to remove the lcd: www.ifixit.com/Teardown/TI-84+Plus+CE+Teardown/118886#s229382 From there you can just push on the screen protector if you want to remove it.
I cant believe this is finally possible. I remember back in freshman year of high school, TI Boy kept me awake during the most boring and exhausting moments. Wish we could play GBC back then but I'll be sure to boot up my CE once more to relish in the magic ;o Edit: appears I am *quite* late to this update after actually watching. LMAO
Hey dude ,quick question. Do you know if there is any way to make a Pokemon trade with my calculator? I really want to get a Gengar but to do so you have to trade a Haunter with a buddy who also has a Gameboy. (Great video btw very useful and fun)
You can't access the calculator from a computer while it's running a program. If you still can't connect after you get to the home screen then just press and hold the reset button on the back of the calculator for at least two seconds.
good tutorial, everything worked until I tried to add a rom game that I converted on my calc TI 84 Plus CE-T. I could add it but when i wanted to play it it gave me a black screen and my calc crashed. Luckily it was soon fixed by removing the battery... but maybe that's just a me thing...
I know this video was made 7 months ago but I was wondering if you could have multiple ROMS on TI-Boy CE at the same time, because I tried adding pokemon gold to it while I already had a blue savefile, but then my save file for blue disappeared and only my gold file was there. Its fine now I just restarted my calculator and did all the steps again, but still curious if its possible to have multiple games on at once and how to do it
Yes you can have multiple games. Just make sure they don't have the same name as files already on the calculator or they'll be overwritten. If you're still having issues I'd recommend contacting the author of TI Boy CE
I downloaded Pokémon yellow, and it works great. Only problem is, the color is off, everything is like white. Do you know why its doing this? And the problem is only when I load in the game, like I walk outside and my house and the grass is just white. No colors anywhere except the loading screen.
Thank you for the heads up I fixed the typo. The correct site is tiny.cc/clibs I had a typo and someone took advantage of it. I'd recommend doing an anti-virus scan in case the website was malicious.
When I get to the TIboyce then press 2nd it goes to a black screen then white and says RAM cleared... timestamp (6:58) in your video I loaded the roms for pokemon, I pressed APPS. 3 then down to TIboyce then 2nd. Any ideas?
Contact calc84maniac who made tiboyce. Let him know what rom you're trying to run. The amount of free rom on the calculator doesn't really matter. Some games may require more ram than others.
Yes. You need the .8xv files associated with your save file. I'd read the documentation or ask the developer if you need help figuring out which file are the right ones.
I followed all of the steps exactly but no matter what I do when I hit "open" on CabriJr it doesn't give me an option to select artifice it only shows the regular cabrijr stuff. I've reinstalled artifice and cabrijr multiple times but no matter what I do I can't get artifice to show.
You have a TI-84 Plus CE right? Press 2nd then + then 2 then 7. If you don't see artifice listed there then it's not actually sending to the calculator. If artifice is in a .zip folder, make sure you extract artifice from the .zip.
@@TheLastMillennial yeah that's the calculator I have and I checked right now and ur right when I hit those buttons to go to that menu artifice doesn't show. I made sure it was the .8xv file and I even reinstalled it right now but it still won't show up.
Just to verify, your calculator says TI-84 Plus CE at the top right? TI Connect CE should throw an error if something fails to send. Hold the reset button on the back of the calculator for at least two seconds. Then try sending the files again If you use chrome or edge, you can also try sending the files via ticalc.link
I just realized I made a mistake in the instructions I told you. You actually have to press 2nd then + then 2 then scroll down to Appvars and press enter. You need to look there for Artifice. I accidentally had you looking in the programs section.
@@TheLastMillennial Yes it's a TI-84 plus CE. I hit 2nd + then 2 and down to app vars and artifice was there but it still wouldn't show up when I hit open on cabrijr. I reset the calculator with the button on the back and tried again and it didn't work. Then I uninstalled artifice and reinstalled it using ticalclink and it still didn't work. I'm not sure if it's Cabrijr or if it's just artifice. The Cabrijr I have is the newest one I installed off of the official TI website.
Hello I am having trouble tryign to find a way to convert my game from my calculator to an online emulator. Do you know any way, if there is one to convert a save file from the calculator to an emulator?
I am using using a general online emulator that I found by searching gbc emulator in google and I am trying to convert a pokemon crystal save. If anyone knows how please help, I don't want my save to be stuck on my calulator :/
That's a very involved process. You'll need soldering equipment and skills using it. If there's a makerspace in your area they would probably have the tools and people who can help you through the replacement.

You need to extract the files from the zip folder. Also make sure the top of your calculator says "TI-84 Plus CE". Other calculators are incompatible.

how do I instead use a USB drive so that I can store more games at a time, without needing to copy and deleting them from my calculator each time?

As long as you send the files to the Archive storage then no.
