Life saver man!! Thank you so much for this. Just got a 13 GS350 F sport and the rear rotors look super rusty. I thought it would be super complicated since it has automatic parking brakes. Your video shows otherwise!! Much appreciated!
@XJ Jesse if the vehicle has an electronic parking brake like my GS 300 H has, is there a service rear brake option using the an OBD scan tool ? would that release tension on shoes ?
I changed the brake pads only but when putting back the 14mm bolt to hold the brake caliper I didn’t measure or put the blue liquid you used for the vibration I just tied it very hard will the be fine thanks great video
@@XJJesse Could you please post a video on how to replace the rear brake disc backing plate (Lexus gs 300h) or please share a link if you already have posted regarding this, thank you again brother, cheers! 👏🥳
It’s doesn’t matter. Whatever you budget can afford. I own an fsport and have changed my brakes twice. I’m doing akebono since it has less brake dust. You can do just brake pads depending how worn the rotors are. One way you can tell is by running your finger down the rotors and if it has a lip at the edge it’s time to change them. I’m changing my rotors and brake pads this time around. Also, if you own fsport make sure it’s the 356mm size. Oreilly sells them but it’ll run you $140 a piece
what is that as big as rotors thin disc looking thing behind al these rotors called? mine is warped and makes scracthing noises when I turn left, is that bad? much appreciated
This is what happen when you’re broke (kidding ) not broke 😂, you have to do all of them by you’re self , without any friendss or bystanders, I mean it’s a good thing not a hater it’s just how it is , reward you’re self doing it , the brake jobs are getting expensive by the axle charge , doing it cost you nothing , 😮
@@spencer82rocks For real bro! I gotta use what I have and fix these cars. Certified hood mechanic 😂 people here be work on their own cars to save money it’s both good and bad. Some folks don’t clean up after themselves, making the rest of us look bad. But with shops charging crazy prices, we gotta do what we can to keep these cars running! You feel me

Please open the brake fluid reservoir before pushing the pistons back.
Thanks!
I followed the instructions! Thanks Jesse !!! Your a star ⭐️
Best fucking video on here and I’ve gone thru them all. This is like what you’d see in a college course. Well done man.

Yes, you should be fine 👍🏽
Thanks buddy just did my 2018 gs350
Maybe it’s the brakes but gonna ask anyway. Did that set come with wear indicators on all four pads or did he put them on the wrong side?
Nice one. Thanks for the video.
Lexus GS350 2005~2011 Is it the same model as the rotors??
Yeah very similar procedure but probably different part numbers
Can you just remove the rotors without having to adjust the parking brake shoes? And instead of a bolt, can you just use a rubber mallet?
Just use a 3lb ledge hammer it comes off who cares if u damage the rotor it’s gonna be replaced anyway I did mine today
Thank you bro 🎉
It’s all good brother happy wrenching 🔧

Did u take off brake ress cap before compressing the pistons?
What brand do you recommend
Will this tutorial work for a 07?
Like a man , I feel more satisfied using the manual 17 socket wrench 😂😂
Will this work on a RC 350?
Did you have problems with squeaking
what about F sport ? would you consider akebono vs bosch quietcast pads? ever just swap out pads and not change rotors?
If the rotors are not bad, there's no need to change them. It's just a waste of money to me.
No. F-Sport pads brake have different compound ( more soft and sport ). A good option: Pagid Street Plus pad brake.

Work on an 08?

Its called a dust shield or heat shield, you can bend it back it should t have any affect on the operation of the brake system
Man seems like too much work and time. I’ll just get it done at the shop. Time is money for me!

That bolt seems longer than 30mm, is it really 30mm?
