All those sailors who are no longer transiting through the Med due to various dangerous bs going on, your channel is a godsend. It will definitely grow your channel. Maybe a "good to know" series of videos on cruising Japan would be useful. I enjoy your channel. Happy sailing.
From what little information I got from cruising in Japan, which is not a lot, I've come to the conclusion that if your yacht is over 50 feet, then cruising in Japan will be a nightmare. First of all, the majority of marinas and sea stations can't accommodate yachts over 50 feet. Then the other choice left for a yacht is to anchor. But anchoring in Japan is also a nightmare. So, in my opinion Japan is too much trouble. I could be wrong. Like I said, I based my conclusions from what little information is out there.
You are in part right but to describe as a `nightmare` is overstating. Boats over 50 feet, even over 40 feet are a challenge for sure but not impossible. Many Marina`s have visitor berths that can accomodate longer boats and even super yachts . . I have seen plenty and even in fishing ports places can be found. More limitiing for sure but not a nightmare. Even this year I know of several incoming cruisers with boats over 50 feet including Cats who are happily cruising Japan . . a bit more research is needed for sure but if effort is put in and you get into the right `mindset` as Francis emphasizes, there rewards are there
Always great content. Thanks
Thanks!

@@PacificSolo I agree that 'nightmare' was a bit over dramatic. Thanks for clearing that.
