Since you used faith for the build, you could stack golden vow with howl Shabriri, as those 2 buffs can be used together, this would give the build 15% + damage from golden vow. Great build, if i want to make a full Lord of frenzy play through I would use this.
Thanks I actually forgot to mention the howl of Shabriri in this video but I didn't know it stacked with the golden vow. That would make this build even stronger.
@@SwanyPlaysGames I use the both combined to get a lot of damage on builds I make since it is 40% + damage (15 vow, 25 howl) One I suggest you try out with a lot of damage is full Rakshasa armor, Godfrey icon, alexander shard, rotten winged insignia, Milicent prosthesis, golden vow, howl of shabriri, thorny cracked tear, blood sucking cracked tear. All of this with Marais executioner sword skill (its a +142% more damage on the skill). Looks awesome and can do around 10k damage or upwards full charging the skill.
If anyone wants to try this build you could change howl for flame grant me strength (marais sword does physical damage) you will do less damage (5% less) but will not get the extra damage done to you from howl, you could use commander standard instead of vow, (5% more damage than vow) but the buff only last 30 secs and you will needs to use the skill again, which a seal is better for since less of a hassle and faster, and finally if you want to do this in NG (this build is NG+ since you have both milicent quest rewards) you can change the rotten winged insignia for normal winged insignia but will do 3% less damage.

I'm really dissapointed that there arent any more frenzy weapons. I mean, you have a boss that is a lord of frenzy and his rememberance weapon doesnt do anything with frenzy.
I have been wanting a true madness build for so long. The build from the base game was fun and powerful. But felt somewhat incomplete. Im so glad they added all this stuff.
I am still very upset that the great sword you get from the frenzy flame boss in the DLC doesn’t apply madness or isn’t a Halberd,spear or anything of the sort. I also wish that they would have allowed us to get some of the moves that the boss uses itself, also maybe frenzy flame grease for a short weapon buff.
I'm still pissed they had all these new items yet no frenzy grease 😡 literally was sooooo excited about being able to have a pvp/pve frenzy build being able to use reg fire (or whatever the boss is weak against) grease for pve while using the frenzy for pvp im sooooooo sad I was really looking forward to this ive been looking for excuses to use the consumables in this game and I keep coming up empty lol items in this game just seem like a joke tbh if someone can explain would truly greatly appreciate it as trying to look it up has proved rather useless and I really want to have a use for them if only to provide more variety/tools to my load out but when you go through a shitload of trouble to get a pot then the shit to fill it just for pretty much any old schmuck to dodge it sucks but then to add even more dirt to the cut it then has the audacity to only hit for like ~500 dmg just feels pathetic im sure there's something really important im missing but yeah. Really hate how using an item in a boss fight permanently consumes the item but mostly this pisses me off because I only have like 10 of these items and it normally takes at LEAST 11 tries to Beat a boss so using all of my items just to then either have to beat them without them so why did I bother using them if they didn't help or go farm the items to make more. Another side note cookbooks I like the idea of having to find ways to increase your crafting recipes but what I'm not ok with is having to find more than like 20? 30. 35 tops it took me like 2-6 hours to find all the base game cookbooks and let me tell you I sorely regret doing it (as of now anyway) there's some of them that have the nerve to only have like 1 or 2 recipes in them????? IM SORRY I THOUGHT I GRABBED A BOOK NOT A FUCKING 2 PAGED PAMPHLET OR A you know what I just realized maybe they were those like index cards that have just the ingredients listed and im rambling good bye sorry you read this lol 😊

If you're will to risk not having 2 madness hands. You can use the bottles in the off hand so you're using both... you can also mix and match 2 perfumes

@@mbry0000 I went to 156 because I started as Astrologer, so you can totally do it 150 with right starting class. Pump Faith, Dex and Vigor to 50 or closest to (I have 50 F, 50 V 45 D). Talismans are Fire Scorpion, Godfrey Icon, Aged One's Exul and swap between Shard of Alex or Flock's Canvas (depending on boss vs mobs). Flame Cracked Tear + Opaline for me, but I also ran Spiked Cracked with lots of success.
I snipe with Frenzy Blast to start fights or pick off mobs (use Flock's), or Frenzy Burst and Vykes AoW (use Shard) for groups. Bosses I recommend buff up, Jellyfish Shield, use a tanky Spirit Ash to maintain aggro, pop Tears, come up behind boss and Unendurable Frenzy them. Usually only takes 2 casts to melt them down, if not dead.
Yeah no shit, if you want a tankier build put tankier armour on not armour that makes you take more damage and use a defensive talisman, the build works fine as intended, which is glass cannon caster...
Some changes i would make to this build for even more madness: - Change the shield to the fingerprint shield - The madding hand and seal to the off hand - In the two remaining wepaon slots equip Vyke's spear and Nanaya's torch
I have a suggestion for a pvp side of this build, Nanayas torch, its ash is very good for proccing maddness and roll catch on panic rolls, best way to use it is for keeping up build up pressure otherwise it deals litterally no damage and holding the ash drains stam way to fast so you'd want to just tap it
Overall an extremely good straightforward guide but if you want even more damage you can use the Erdtree seal and keep the frenzied flame seal in the off hand as the Erdtree seal has double the incantation scaling from what I saw and allows you to focus on getting faith to lv 80 instead of putting any points into intelligence. keeping the frenzied flame seal in the off still gives the 20% damage buff, you can also use flame grant me strength as it buffs fire damage, golden vow which slightly helps with the damage and 'squisheness' of the build, and of course howl of Shabriri to proc madness for black dumpling and the talisman (with this I two hit Romina). Also, if you don't want to use the madding hand you can opt for Vykes spear as it looks really cool and has a preferable frenzied ash of war. edit: just realized this is like 3 months too late.
Put some armour on for this, try this on new game plus 7 and get one or 2 shot by every boss 😂 use iron jar aromatic and every a few resist talisman and dmg reduction along with golden bow and black flame protection and just hold the trigger on the new frenzy spell to melt every boss they usually die before you do

Glad to see ur still making great content. Loving the elden ring DLC and a tip for this build the perfume bottles especially the rolling sparks AOW is completely broken and if u throw it at the ground all the explosion trails will explode at once, this can result in upwards of 25,000 if the build is completely optimized.
pump your faith to 80, use Golden Vow and Howl and your shield change to Jellyfish shield...theres some more buff but i am not sure which is which can be stacked together...if you spare time you can search video that explain how t stack many kind of buff which is very very annoying to do but i bet you can one hit kill the boss
The bleeding builds are Crazy better because you can increase the attack without taking more damage. However, the Frenzy build is so Nice to see. In the base game was my favorite, however, I feel it doesnt work well in SOE.
This is a great build but unfortunately i find its best in base game due to the bosses of the dlc either being ranged or being super aggressive and easily closing distance with their attacks which makes it difficult to pull off any incantations against bosses in the dlc
U could do the houl of shabribi with the madening hand equiped because when u proc madness it boosts dmg like the helmet, you can also use the jellyfish shield😊
60 mind is way too much, you have cerulean tears for a reason. Take 20 of those and put them in faith. 1 cerulean will still take you from empty to almost full FP bar, and youll do even more damage with the higher Faith.
At level 230, most things will do comparable damage. That is an extremely high level... I do think you can make this build work at a lower level, but it would need some major tweaks. As it stands, a build at this level can hardly be called a build, since leveling up tot his point is not really something the average player would do (especially if they want to experience pvp).
I’m running the same set but it takes 5 casts of howl of shabriri vs using midras head incantation and filling my madness bar faster, but I’ve seen others use howl only 2 times and they hit the madness bar. What am I doing wrong?

Yup. So unfortunately you can't get madness to proc against every enemy type. But you just give yourself madness to up your attack power before you jump into a fight.
Since you can stack weapon+aura+body buff, you can in theory do Howl of Shabriri until you reach madness with aged' one's exultation, then golden vow, then do seppuku with lord blood's exultant, then change lord blood's exultant to fire scorpion charm... wonder how much damage will that do... Try it? XD
Imo it's not worth trying to squeeze incant scaling out of frenzy flame seal. Better to just build for erdtree, godslayer, golden order, etc and hold frenzy flame seal in your other hand for the boost.
I'm running 150 also, currently quality int build. Basically I am going to just swap INT for faith and keep everything else same; soft cap on vigor and mind, 25 end. Ill let you know how it goes if I remember
They need a loadout option at the site of grace to quickly switch gear being able to do it mid combat would probably be broken but it would be nice to not have to look through everything when you want to change gear
Frenzy flame builds have always been good if anything I feel like it was nerfed a bit but then there's magic that still needs alot of nerfs for the stuff it can do
New minor erdtree incantation heals you more than the bloodsucking tear takes so if youre going to be standing in one spot or staying around the tree atleast, pop that down
Dude I put the same points into the same stuff and I still had 114 levels left to attune so I tried to balance it out with my old levels and stats so yeah
We really need a Greatsword/Ultra Greatsword with Madness combined. I love Madness and i made myself some kind of "King of Madness" Build, but a good sword would increase my fun with it.
for exploring the dlc, bolt of gransax is the best for me. You can 3 hit ghostflame dragon with this weapon sadly this is only for exploring, for "broken" bosses you need other weapons that suit your gameplay
You don't actually beed to use the frenzied flame seal to get the boost from it. I usually just go 80 faith with erdtree seal in my maim hand, and jist pocket the frenzy flame seal in my offhand for the damage boost.
for the perfume bottle its located in the abandoned church grace in the abyssal woods for the frenzy hand once you get to the abyssal woods just stay on the road and there is a npc kill it and its yours
If you do Ymir’s questline there’s an upgraded version of the Godfrey icon. Granted it’ll make you receive more damage but since you’re using that armor anyway..
cool idea, but the thorn build is way more reliable and performing. 13k to messmer basically ends him in 4 hits. No doubt the actual visuals on your build are superior though
Damn, we actually have a legit Madness build, props for letting us know. This is an exciting thing to play with a some point. I’m personally excited to build out the Lord version of the last bosses weapon. Along with Miquella spells and seal/headpiece. The new rings of light looks fantastic. Buffing holy with Sword of light and sword of darkness as well here and there. I think it’s going to be dope with some stat scaling testing to see what works best. Would be awesome to see your findings with it sometime.
If your doing a full caster build something interesting to consider, using two spell catalist (like the frenzied flame seal) the buff to unique spells that the catalist buffs can stack with it's self, so if you have two frenzied flame seals in both hands, the frenzied flame incantations will be buffed by both seals.
This is bad in pve, because most non-tarnished type enemies are immune to the effect of madness, just saying. You might as well just use all your buff and use a fire weapons and fire spells or swap the fire-shrouded crystal tear for something else and just use a better seal, the frienzied flame seal only give frienzied flame incantation a 10% boost, using golden order or erdtree seal would be better because their higher scaling would make them deal more dmg and the buildup on frienzied flame seal only works if you hit in melee with the seal so. It was a good try but madnass build only affecting tarnished enemies kinda kills your build ngl.
I don’t think the point is to inflict madness on on other enemies. He’s using madness to make himself more powerful and do the damage that he’s doing in the video..
@@z4kst4n you can do the same if you hard-swap talisman after buffing, because the buff stays with you for their entire duration after you swap talisman and gear. so your point is moot, he would do much more damage using a weapon or a high dps spells while only using the proper buff that can boost said spell/weapon damage, you do not need a madness-focused build to do that, just need to swap gear afterward and wield a good weapon or a high dps spell. Hell i can one shot pretty much any boss with a zweihander+25 doing that and just stacking buff and using a charge attack while low hp and while the boss is in an attack animation. I litterally one-shotted a erdtree avatar doing that. it's not that hard.
@@z4kst4n there are better fire spell, like any of the magma spells and those don't build a status that makes lose % hp and % fp and they deals overall more damage. Plus madness only works on tarnished-typed enemies and most bosses are immune to it. There is no reason to use anything else than howl of shabriri from all of the frenzied flame when there's better alternative to deal fire dmg. They are factually worse than the alternative if you want to play efficiently

His remembrance weapon is the one I use for the build because it's skill pairs well with the incant setup

Literally playing as an insane asylum escapee with 2 boring company flame throwers but can be taken out with a bb gun haha

I’m running the same set but it takes 5 casts of howl of shabriri vs using midras head incantation and filling my madness bar faster, but I’ve seen others use howl only 2 times and they hit the madness bar. What am I doing wrong?

I beat Midra last night and got his sword, pretty excited to upgrade and try it out. We need more madness weapons.
Midra's sword sadly has no madness build up for whatever reason lol!
I think for lore reasons midra sword is from the golden order I believe

@@nobchopper9728It is not associated with madness at all. Actually the inquisitors used the sword as a way to contain the frenzied flame within the host it has taken over.
The fact the treats word of damnation doesn't have innate madness buildup is ridiculous.

Madness as a status effect only works on players or NPCs that use player model
Yup. So unfortunately you can't get madness to proc against every enemy type. But you just give yourself madness to up your attack power before you jump into a fight.
i dont get why use the rakasha set if its damages you way more than you damage others

I found the dragon seal is always better for madness builds because its got arcane scaling which improves your madness buildup
You can dual wield the seals for more damage
No nanyas torch in the build is.. well… madness
All your stays ending in 0 is reason enough to run this build.

Since you can stack weapon+aura+body buff, you can in theory do Howl of Shabriri until you reach madness with aged' one's exultation, then golden vow, then do seppuku with lord blood's exultant, then change lord blood's exultant to fire scorpion charm... wonder how much damage will that do...

Imo it's not worth trying to squeeze incant scaling out of frenzy flame seal. Better to just build for erdtree, godslayer, golden order, etc and hold frenzy flame seal in your other hand for the boost.
how should i do my stats for lvl 150
I'm running 150 also, currently quality int build. Basically I am going to just swap INT for faith and keep everything else same; soft cap on vigor and mind, 25 end. Ill let you know how it goes if I remember
They need a loadout option at the site of grace to quickly switch gear being able to do it mid combat would probably be broken but it would be nice to not have to look through everything when you want to change gear

Frenzied seal doesn’t get me to proc madness as fast as dragon seal
Use both but on main hand use dragon seal
You're better off pumping arcane and casting with dragon communion seal because your spells get more madness buildup

Frenzy flame builds have always been good if anything I feel like it was nerfed a bit but then there's magic that still needs alot of nerfs for the stuff it can do
New minor erdtree incantation heals you more than the bloodsucking tear takes so if youre going to be standing in one spot or staying around the tree atleast, pop that down

We really need a Greatsword/Ultra Greatsword with Madness combined. I love Madness and i made myself some kind of "King of Madness" Build, but a good sword would increase my fun with it.
for exploring the dlc, bolt of gransax is the best for me. You can 3 hit ghostflame dragon with this weapon
sadly this is only for exploring, for "broken" bosses you need other weapons that suit your gameplay

You don't actually beed to use the frenzied flame seal to get the boost from it. I usually just go 80 faith with erdtree seal in my maim hand, and jist pocket the frenzy flame seal in my offhand for the damage boost.

If you do Ymir’s questline there’s an upgraded version of the Godfrey icon. Granted it’ll make you receive more damage but since you’re using that armor anyway..

cool idea, but the thorn build is way more reliable and performing. 13k to messmer basically ends him in 4 hits. No doubt the actual visuals on your build are superior though
Yeah but not every person wants to use the most OP build. It's fun to mix it up sometimes.
Thorns looks kind of lame though and kind of turns the game into just sight seeing
Damn, we actually have a legit Madness build, props for letting us know. This is an exciting thing to play with a some point. I’m personally excited to build out the Lord version of the last bosses weapon. Along with Miquella spells and seal/headpiece. The new rings of light looks fantastic. Buffing holy with Sword of light and sword of darkness as well here and there. I think it’s going to be dope with some stat scaling testing to see what works best. Would be awesome to see your findings with it sometime.

I believe Golden Vow, Howl, and Flame Grant Strength all stack together, so this could get even more absurd.
If your doing a full caster build something interesting to consider, using two spell catalist (like the frenzied flame seal) the buff to unique spells that the catalist buffs can stack with it's self, so if you have two frenzied flame seals in both hands, the frenzied flame incantations will be buffed by both seals.
They should've at least added some extra dialogue if you meet Midra after becoming Lord of the Frenzied Flame yourself.

This is bad in pve, because most non-tarnished type enemies are immune to the effect of madness, just saying. You might as well just use all your buff and use a fire weapons and fire spells or swap the fire-shrouded crystal tear for something else and just use a better seal, the frienzied flame seal only give frienzied flame incantation a 10% boost, using golden order or erdtree seal would be better because their higher scaling would make them deal more dmg and the buildup on frienzied flame seal only works if you hit in melee with the seal so.
It was a good try but madnass build only affecting tarnished enemies kinda kills your build ngl.
I don’t think the point is to inflict madness on on other enemies. He’s using madness to make himself more powerful and do the damage that he’s doing in the video..
@@z4kst4n you can do the same if you hard-swap talisman after buffing, because the buff stays with you for their entire duration after you swap talisman and gear. so your point is moot, he would do much more damage using a weapon or a high dps spells while only using the proper buff that can boost said spell/weapon damage, you do not need a madness-focused build to do that, just need to swap gear afterward and wield a good weapon or a high dps spell. Hell i can one shot pretty much any boss with a zweihander+25 doing that and just stacking buff and using a charge attack while low hp and while the boss is in an attack animation. I litterally one-shotted a erdtree avatar doing that. it's not that hard.

@@z4kst4n there are better fire spell, like any of the magma spells and those don't build a status that makes lose % hp and % fp and they deals overall more damage. Plus madness only works on tarnished-typed enemies and most bosses are immune to it. There is no reason to use anything else than howl of shabriri from all of the frenzied flame when there's better alternative to deal fire dmg. They are factually worse than the alternative if you want to play efficiently
