I like the boat yard tours. Great way to finish off the video. Im glad I found your channel. We bought our boat from Champion Marine Clearwater. Live in North Port. I've been wrenching on it with the help of your channel. Amazing amount of knowledge in you head!! Thx
Thanks for the Boat Hotel tour, always nice to look at different boats. But where do you think the coolant loss came from? Coolant just doesn’t evaporate, it’s always from a leak or a partially blown head gasket.
I want a Regal 36 but it seems from your videos that convertible top and the rear sliding glass doors are a constant problem. Learn a ton by watching you thanks Justin
The best way to flush it would be to pull the strainer and stick a hose in the basket. Then start it and let the pump do the work. You can damage the engine if you try to run water thru it when it's not running. It fills up the exhaust and can lock up the motor. Good question and thanks.

Thank you. I appreciate that. ☺️
X3 boats are made by Shallow Sports Boats based here in Texas. Very popular to run in super skinny water. Good video as always Justin.
It was definitely unique. Looks like it would definitely run in skinny water. Thanks for the info. ☺️

I have seen this before when the motor gets really hot. It boils out of the bottle thru the cap. Luckily it didn't blow a head gasket or something. 🤗
@@JustinLeeMarine But what do you think was the cause of the overheating, sea grass or something? The engine is not overheating now.
Yes. It will run and slowly get hot until it shuts down. It pumps enough water to not hurt the impeller but not enough to keep the motor cool.
I’m waiting for “The Old guy” who works at that place to start yellin at you-“what the hell are you doing walking around talking to yourself?”😂
Haha. I'm sure one day that will happen. 🤣🤣
Good episode…..
Thank you☺️

What was wrong with the generator? Just ran out of coolant? Nice video.
It boiled it out when it got hot. It will exit thru the cap on the bottle.
Hey Justin
Do u know if you can change a westerbeke belt in a Regal 28 Express without taking the genny out.
It will be difficult to do because you have to lay the generator on its side to replace the belt under it. The pulley will need to be changed to.
It's a 2014 with the generator in the front of the motor. Will removing the water heater allow me to get that genny out without a motor removal?
Yes if you pull the exhaust off the starboard side you can sneak the generator past the motor.
So what happened to the coolant?
My best guess is that it purged out of the bottle when it over heated. The cap is designed to release the pressure if it gets to hot.
Is it possible to add a flush system to a diesel generator?

Could a fitting be added to a gen to make it easier for the hose connection?
Yes you can do that. You would have to turn the water on at the same time you start the generator. It takes two people to do it but it can be done.
