    Ahoy from Northern Michigan! We have no plans to ever to the Loop on our boat, but we’ve made the trip vicariously about 12 times by watching UA-cam Loopers. 😂 Most of them have already crossed their wakes, so I’ve been looking for new boats to follow, and am happy to have found yours. BTW, it would be great to see a tour of your boat soon!

    Hello Chris and Lisa! I’m loving the videos! Trying to catch up! You guys are seeing such beautiful sights, you’re not going to want to come back to Texoma! Your place is looking fine. We’ve had a lot of rain. The Cedar Mills boat ramp is even closed due to high water.(feast or famine)! Your St. Augustine grass looks great as well!
    Stay safe and enjoy your wonderful trip! Jana😊

    I’ve made all of that trip many times.My cousin lived in Mexico Beach near Port St Joe.I had shrimp boats and shrimped in Mobile Bay and All bays to Appalatchacola bay in Florida.That canal through from Choctawhatchi to west Bay is called the Canyon because of the tall cliffs on each side.always hated meeting a tug with barges because it’s so narrow.I live in Bon Secour near the east bottom of Mobile Bay.Also been to Louisiana and Mississippi sound shrimping.Enjoying you journey and am a new subscriber

    Just found your Vlog. We are Texans, who live in the St. Petersburg, Florida area. But we are currently sitting on our new looper boat, Serenity, in Kemah, Texas. Will will be moving Serenity to our Kentucky lake house (on Lake Barkley) in late May / June. Once in Kentucy, we will do side trips until we can officially start the loop in the Fall of 2026. Until then, we will enjoy watching your adventures! Welcome to Florida and safe travels! Donna & Mike

      Oh wow, what a small world! How exciting that you have found your loop boat, and in Texas! We loved staying in Kemah, enjoy that part of Texas for sure, and eat as much seafood as you can! 🙂 Safe travels to KY and on your Loop in 2026, you won't regret it - it's been a trip of a lifetime for us! Thanks for watching!

    I was sad that the video of Capt Chris playing sand volleyball did not make the reel!
    Looks like a blast!

    I am not sure I aspire to the whole GL, but I really like the Gulf legs so far. I think we will try that part next year. I really appreciate the maps and the encouragement to do it. From South Dakota.

    Greetings from Indianapolis. Our flowers are just coming up. Would love to join you, but health will not permit.
    One thing about going for your dream, if is the wrong decision, at least you know how it turned out. You won't wonder woulda/shoulda/coulda twenty years later. You'll know how it turned out. You'll always regret a decision unmade.
    Safe travels. This is fun.

    The concrete items at 2:45 in the video appear to be concrete artificial reef starters and builders they set in place on the bottom to help grow reefs? We are in Kemah Texas and plan to start our loop to include the Bahamas in October 2026!

    • @coolbeansloop2024
      @coolbeansloop2024  9 місяців тому

      Hi Kemah!!! Our home port, love it! YES those are artificial reef structures! They just looked so interesting to me and I had to see if anyone else knew what they were (of course Chris knew! but I didn't!) Thank you for watching and good luck getting ready for your loop! Maybe we'll see ya in Kemah when we return at the end of this year! Thanks for watching! 🙂

    The cement triangle cones are artificial reef structures for offshore. I am in Myrtle Beach, SC and SCDNR does that same thing here.

    Curious why a continuous cruise across the water is preferred over splitting it up over two days?

    How far in advance did you pick your date? Did you already have your Loop boat? If not, did you pick your date before you started looking for your boat or after you had already found it?
    Denton,TX, hoping to start my Loop in ‘25.

    • @coolbeansloop2024
      @coolbeansloop2024  9 місяців тому

      HI DENTON! We lived in Denton for 22 years, raised our kids there, we love it there! To answer your questions - we knew we wanted to loop in 2024 so we started looking for a boat in 2022 and thought we'd have it bought within 6 months - wrong - it took us 1.5 years to find her! And thank goodness we did! Once we found her it was just a matter of getting her loop-ready (she had not looped before so she needed some upgrades). So we really were cutting it close! Thanks for watching! 🙂

      Hello! Yes we sure have, and I don't want to add it all up! If we had to do it all again, we'd probably anchor out more! No this was not our plan, we just got in the habit of them. Thanks for watching! :-)

    Howdy! We just bought a 40' Carver to eventually do the loop, but next week we start bringing it to Clear Lake from Punta Gorda (near Fort Meyers), will be about 2 weeks underway, looking at the charts I do not see much between New Orleans and Galveston Bay, what apps and sources for information are you using to navigate?
