    If your doing the loop make sure you include the Bahamas as it is my favorite cruising destination. The Bahamas is and island chain that runs 600 miles from the north to the se. The beaches, fishing, surfing, swimming and people are incredible and each island has is own flavor and character. Just going to Bimini will give you the Bahamas experience and it's only 55 miles from Miami!

    Something doesn’t quite add up. If you are only at 91% of your Loop, and you cross your wake tomorrow, are you really going to do 9% of the Loop in one day? Editing to note that it just hit me that this may be 91% of your trip from and returning to Kemah. Sorry to have been so dense! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed following you and meeting you at the Fall Rendezvous!

    Take it from a New Yorker that grew up just north of the Tappan Zee bridge . The best part of this trip and would have been more dangerous then the shrimp boat would have been riding the tides at the boardwalks. Tourist move. The off set building is known as jhengabuilding on Lenord street. Mountain line going up the Hudson on the west side are the palisades cliffs. 1/2 moon bay is great . Other side of the river is also very good. Interested to see where you stop next. Poughkeepsie and Rhinebeck are nice. Thanks. BF

    Really appreciate all of your videos. I plan on setting sail in 8 years. This statistics video is AWESOME! Was wondering if you could give us an idea of what kind of depreciation we might see on a vessel like yours after putting that many hours on it? A percentage answer would suffice.

My channel name is Carpe Diem with Lesli. I have a video coming up when we winterized our boat. We will be leaving from Kingston, NY. You guys went thru our area. Lots of Loopers stop by our marina (Roundout Yatch Basin) since it is the only marina with fuel in our area so we have met a few. Also; we are harbor hosts so we have helped a few Loopers with packages and things. I love our Looper family!

    Thank you Lisa & Chris. I very much enjoyed following you on your journey. You made it through with not a lot of drama & I'm sure that you have inspired others to make this same trip. Not only did I enjoy the travel log but I really enjoyed you as people. Brave to make the trip, friendly to all that you met & willing to honestly share your experiences.       We are happy with the fuel prices we paid and we have no idea about next year, but if we had to guess, we think they will fall a little!?

    Hi. We have just truly enjoyed taking this journey with you. We plan to do the loop once I can retire. Question: how concerned were you leaving your home for so long? I assume you had someone checking on it, mowing, weeding? That is one of my primary concerns. Thanks for any advise you can share. 😊

      Hello and thanks for the kind words!! Yes, we did have good friends watch our home. And we hired someone to mow the lawn. It was no problem and we’d do it again! Several people we have met had kids or family stay in their homes while they were away, perhaps that’s an option for you? Also one of those Ring doorbells and/or cameras might give you some peace of mind, knowing who comes to your house? Good luck in your loop planning!! It was the best decision we made, trip of a lifetime! Be sure to watch Wednesdays episode, I give some stats and some costs, might be helpful as you plan! Thanks for watching!!

    It just occurred to me that you 2 will probably have the exact same problems reintegrateing to your old lifestyle as many veterans do when they return from a yearlong combat deployment. Expierenced tip : talk to vets that have left their families for a year to go to combat cuz their experiences are exact copy of what you’re going to face . You’re both been through a life changing event that no one in your family can relate to ! Best wishes on you & your families readjustment s !

    I love spreadsheets, looking forward to your wrap-up : ) Seriously! We took 8 months in 2021 to RV around the USA and my spreadsheet is a great way to remind myself of/revisit every single stop. Congratulations on doing something great! When Feb 14, 2025 rolls around, you're going to find yourself playing the "what were we doing 1 year ago" game!
