Great song and i have a story to tell. I met Jimmy James once when he was playing Blackpool this was about 12 years ago or so and me and dad wanted to meet him so we asked and he signed our t-shirt and took some pics but here';s the best bit and something i have never witness before he said to me about the CD i had of his greatest hits being deleted and would it be possible to record it for him. Seriously never expect an artist to ask fans for recordings of there own music ie a CD, so we said yes and when we got home we had the address and sent it and few weeks or so got a letter of thanks with a signed picture. I can tell you happy days and have seen Jimmy James about 4 times live and he always puts on a good show.
Jimmy James is a great bloke, we promoted him and Ben E King on the same bill a few years ago ( The year before Ben died ) and the pair of them sat outside in the sunshine with us at Robin 2 in Bilston near Wolverhampton eating Fish and Chips from the paper washed down by Ice cold diet Cola ~ #cherishedmemories
MotownMagic1959 Jimmy was one of the best singers I'd heard in the UK, I loved his songs, it's very nostalgic remembering him, he could have been a Motown star as far as I was concerned!! Jimmy James and The Vagabonds, great times!! Thank you Jimmy, and bricomaligno for adding it! JOHN
When I was DJing - Jimmy was in cabaret and I was working that room the same night. He signed all his singles for me as did a few other artistes over the years - including Edwin Starr.
