I was in Year 6 when this came on TV, I had just came back from my PGL school trip, the girl I really fancied had just told me she liked another boy in my class. Now, 11 year old me was heartbroken and it felt almost poetic when my family and I were watching The Voice as we did every weekend, and this song came on. Downloaded it to my little Blackberry, had it on repeat for weeks. That girl I spoke about in the beginning is now getting married in a few months. It’s incredible how quick a decade has passed and the fact I still find solace in this performance.

Love the lyrics, the sadness, his voice and how its produced so much. Sometimes i cry, sometimes i dance, sometimes i sing so loud with him the whole song in the night or morning after coming back home from a party or club little drunken. Several times in a row. Sooooo good. Goes deep when you have a Special Playlist with songs for „drunken in the morning“ and its always different depending on being alone or with 👱🏼♀️🥰
