Impressed with Mr Altaf's knowledge about Hindi film music.Interesting to know that most of the films mentioned by Pakistanis had music by RD Burman,to the extent of films like 5 Dushman and Nikamma(Jaane Jaan) And heartening to note that songs of Do Chor and most surprising Shehzada were playing in a gym!! Love Arzooji's frankness.
The fact is that while rehearsals and after finalization of the song Jai Jai Shiv Shabkar, Om Prakash was not ready to expend 50,000 rupees and he was tauntung R D Burman for " 50,000 ruppes kharcha kar diye" while final recording was going on, Om Prakash, Kishore and Lata were taking tea and kishore repeatedky called R D Burman to join them. But RD was not ready to accompany them in front of Om Prakash. After drinking tea, kishore askef RD why he did not turn up. RD explained that Om Prakash was taunting RD frequently "Pachas hazar rupaye kharcha kar diye". Kishore understood and then, suddenly started singing in the end "Ae bajao re bajao imandari se bajao pachar hazar rupaye kharcha kiye". After finishing the song, lata asked kishore about "bajao re bajao..." and both wew laughing. When Om Prakash heard the song, he asked RD to remove that part but Kishore explainef to him that by keeping the song ad it was, there would have been no difference in the popularity of the song.😢

Refreshing change 😀 Growing up in the 70's listening to that music makes any era music "paani kam chai". MY favorite lyricist of the 70's was Anand Bakshi and Majrooh Sultanpuri. I'm amazed at the level of knowledge of Waseem bhai and you at some level too Arzoo!

Kishore once said to lata about the situation of the song : Kishore is sitting in a toilet and Lata in lsdies toilet. They are asking each other : Suno-Kaho, Kaha-suna.....in the end jara sa kuchh hua to hai.
