There's been a theory going around that Toriyama based DB's multiverse on different shows/anime he's seen. For Example:
• Universe 11 is based on the DC universe,and classic Senthai (Shows like Power Rangers):
- Belmod and Margarita are the Joker and Harley Quinn.
- The Posing of the Pride Troopers.
• Universe 2 is based on Sailor Moon:
- Magical girl like transformations.
- Their Destroyer's design is based off a old villain.
• Universe 1 is based on Yu-Gi-Oh:
- It's Destroyer looks like a weak monster called Kuriboh, and his shoots off swords of Light like the spell card used in the show.

It's not just that, either.
Universe 9's team is almost entirely composed of fighters who resemble anthropomorphic animals.
Its twin, Universe 4, is similar but with very high-fantasy gimmicks and general trickery.
Universe 3 had the robots, monsters, and mad scientist.
Universe 10 was... professional wrestling.
Every other universe was a genre. To me, it was a metaphor for literally being everything, the entire multiverse of fiction, being forced into a tournament against each other.
Kinda funny how when Vegeta was trying to use Ultra Instinct, he was just taking every punch and not defending himself…precursor for Ultra Ego.

In the manga, Ribbrianne was more focused on beauty than love. Hence why her God of Destruction keeps talking about beauty.
Also, in Manga Ribrianne called Krillin Gorgeous, and she was pissed that a "ugly being" like 18 would marry "a fine specimen" like Krillin.
I was not a fan of 17 but damn that guy is good! The whole tournament he was amazing and calm and act cool and the tournament shows us how powerful he really is and that makes me love that character.
I have to give some respect to Ribrianne. She held her own in this tournament. I hope she makes it in to the new Dragon Ball game.😊

The original japanese dub came out, The maidens of universe 2 Were supposed to be like this because around the same time, Sailor moon was either celebrating some big anniversary or making its comeback. Hence the whole Magical girl gimmick from those three.

IT does SOOOO much justice for all of the Z Fighters present in this tournament. Like for example: It's actually GOHAN Yes GOHAN who fights and ends up knocking out Kefla along with himself in a BADASS EPIC fight. Ultimate Gohan is so damn powerful, he gave a fused SS2 and Legendary SS a hard time. I forget about what else happens, but I know Piccolo has a great moment in there too. Definitely give the manga a look if you're curious about the differences, because there are some major ones. OH OH AND AND!!! Gohan is wearing the purple outfit that Piccolo gives him, instead of Gokus orange battle gi.
