Fun fact: back 2018 the two last episodes 130 and 131 were watched in public on a huge crowd (when the episodes first aired), mainly in Latin America. The chants of "Frieza" and "Goku" by the public, inspired the song of "Gogeta vs Broly" song. That's the proof that Dragon Ball is the best anime ever made all time and the only anime that made people watch it in public.

Nothing is the best thing of all time and it honestly feels kind of insulting to the thing to pretend its perfect and the unbeatable best. And yeah. I can't wait for the manga to get an anime adaptation, but I think we may have to wait at least 2 or even 3 more sagas. With how slowly the manga chapters are released, the anime would eventually catch up and surpass it again. Even if they decided to redo the Broly and Super Hero movies, and add some good filler, and even release it seasonal, it'd be a matter of time
The scene at 36:23 when Goku said "i´ll just put you down again" you can see on the right Freezer and on the left the group who were on Namek back then. Such a nice detail tbh.
Also when Goku said he will come visit Zeno again it was meant to us the watchers of the series that goku promised us that he will come back. Man I love Dragonball and Goku so much.

Jiren isn’t fighting for himself. He’s fighting for his parents and the people who raised him that was slaughtered as he laid their defenseless. He didn’t want to go through the same pain again. It’s the same rage that future trunks felt when trunks was fighting for his love ones that died by the androids.
He's not actually fighting for his parents, master and previous friends who died. Rather, he's fighting for his ideals which came to be after what happened after all his loved ones died

Seeing frieza holding on to jirens arm as he swung him around and then goku charging them while flickering between his base form and super saiyan is my favorite part.
When Vegeta said, "What an incredible warrior," he meant that one to Jiren. 😆 I mean, you can clearly tell. Even Goku replied to his statement by saying "Yeah" as in "Yeah, he sure was/is."

As of 6 years ago, on March 25th, the TOP arc concluded. It was very satisfying to see what all the hype around this arc was about and I’m glad to see other people like Madison have the chance to experience what we veterans have witnessed several years ago. I enjoyed these DBS reactions and looking forward to more DB content from you guys!

Goku flickering in and out of super saiyan at the end is one of the best animation choices in all of Dragon Ball. 17 getting the win is truly earned Madison mentioned it a few times how much work 17 put in and frankly he was always doing it as a team player unlike even Goku who was there for his own ends, to fight the strongest. 17 was not only the MVP but he truly deserved the win and then he went on to prove it with his wish. 17 is one of my favorite characters and the love he gets in ToP is amazing.
After Goku's silver haired Ultra Instinct power ran out, we knew Frieza was still around to back Goku up, but the fact that Android 17 actually never died blowing himself up and was also hiding in the ring was a true shocker!
Android 17 not dying after ”self destruction” was such a low quality, safe writing, as in they don’t have the balls to do anything meaningful with this series and kill a good guy off. They already used up the same thing with Vegeta, and again with 17. Fake suspension

@@grydon6422 Dude its Dragon Ball no one ever dies and no one from the start was going to stay dead when there's a wish for literally anything at the end of the tournament. Dragon Ball is built around people knowing anyone can and WILL come back. That's like the most obvious basic shit in the series so yeah not any more fake suspense than every single arc since the first chapter came out.
you're not a big brain critic for pointing this out you're just going into Dragon Ball angry that you're watching Dragon Ball being Dragon Ball. That's the setting and rules of the story if you don't like it just stop watching it. You're literally mad the series is being itself its clearly not for you.
There is a fan theory about 17's wish..."All universes that were erased...I wanna bring them back" The vagueness of this wish not only brought back the universes erased during the TOP but also brought back the other 6 universes previously erased. Whis talked about how there were 18 universes at one point earlier in dragon ball super. A youtube channel called Unrealentgaming does his only DragonBall art and stories and has brought back all 18 universes.

By far one of my favorite moments in Anime , Goku casually getting up with " Sorry about that you guys, didn't mean to leave you like that but I got this! " like an apology was necessary.
There will not be a better moment than Vegeta’s face seeing Goku and Frieza fighting side by side. 😂
Seeing Goku and Frieza tag team like that in the end was one of the most mesmerizing moments I’ve ever seen…something I never would’ve expected prior to watching this episode for the first time…they worked well together for being such enemies to each other
Vegeta was so depressed when goku sacrificed himself so cell wouldn’t blow up the earth. I can see why he gets pumped up when goku and him spar. They are like bros now
They are brothers, without Goku being a rival he wouldn't have gotten to the point he is. He also loves his people with so much pride just doesn't say much, just like he is with his family.

@@AlexHiddleson-ip7cj 💯 vegeta is a prideful saiyan, but I agree he does love his people even if they are deemed an inferior clan of warriors. At this point he needs kakarot to improve if not he lacks the motivation to be the best as we saw.
Yeah I love how decently believable the progression has been. Vegeta worked his way slowly into accepting Goku to the point he has and has become a better person and fighter because of the lessons he learned in doing so. Its exactly why Goku is so magnetic. He's just relentless positive and relaxed so you either hate him more and more or grow to like him through sheer exposure.
Like that annoying but cheerful person at work who you at first can't stand and then realize one day oh wait I just defended them when someone talked shit despite them driving me insane. "Damn it when did they grow on me? No they didn't grow on me I just dislike YOU more that's all...yeah...that's it." I'm sure Vegeta had dozens of moments like that over the years leading up to him just saying "Fuck it. GET EM KAKAROT"

What's great about the detail of Goku and Vegeta fighting in the same stances like they did in their first fight of the Saiyan Saga is that Vegeta was originally on a higher rock than Goku to symbolize the difference in their status and power. Now, their platforms were equal.
29:12 It’s more accurate to say that Goku is putting in EVERYTHING he has into the final push that he’s struggling to even go Super Saiyan, which is why it’s only flashing.
I heard Toriyama wife was the reason he had the idea for DragonBall. At first he was doing funny stories for journals and weekly mangas and at some point he reached a wall of inspiration while drawing with a friend at his house, even talking about maybe changing profession. Toriyama wife entered the room to bring food and drinks and saw they were very concerned but she also noticed they were looking a martial art tournament on the T.V. and said "why don't you mix the two things you love, mangas and martial arts".

Seeing Goku finally utilize Ultra Instinct to it's fullest is so epic. You could feel how special this transformation was. Unlike anything Goku OR us as the audience had ever experienced. One other thing I enjoyed seeing is how Goku kept a stone cold focus on his battle with Jiren. No more playing around, no more games. It was time to take this battle to the limit and beyond.
Ultra Instinct just has that godly presence.
It was obvious what the winner would wish for. Just didn’t expect who would be the one to make the wish.
Perfect finale! I never expected 17 to win the tournament when I first watched this series. I love that in the end they made it a team effort instead of just Goku hogging the spotlight.
My favorite scene in all of DBS is at 14:50. It's only Goku chasing Jiren but it's a small detail that I've noticed a lot of people miss and that's: to make up for the lack of flight Goku climbs up to Jiren by creating and standing on energy balls

One cool part when frieza says he won't give up his wicked ways is when goku responds and every person who was on namek was in the same frame.

JIREN IS NOT A BAD GUY!
Jiren is not evil, just obsessed with power and bending all to his will. He only came off as the bad guy because of all the friends he’s lost and the trust he had in the ones that chose to walk away from him and not avenge their master when he was slain. He didn’t deal with his emotions properly but Goku got through to him in the end.
These people don’t know the difference between a villain and an antagonist

I spoiled the Dragon Ball Super episodes via the Japanese dub and watched the reactions from a big crowd in other countries for the last two episodes. I’ve been a fan since the early 90’s with the Ocean Dub of DBZ. It was amazing.
Then seeing the reactions with you two since DBZ before and frankly that is an amazing adventure from the Z Warriors.
Dragon Ball series will always be my favorite forever, and I thank everyone and most obviously of course to the legendary late Akira Toriyama for this wondrous series.

With Akira Toriyama gone now I really do think the Moro Saga and The Granolah the Survivor sagas (the arcs after dbs broly) will be animated in coming years so if you can wait and aren't interested in reading manga just know it's good shit and be hype for it someday. After watching og dragonball I really do think you both will be a little more excited for Daima cuz it's gonna be all the charm of og dragonball in a show to send off akira toriyamas last full project, and likely the passing of the Torch to Sasuke Toriyama (the creators son) and Toyotarou (Akira Toriyamas apprentice that worked with him on the DB Super manga)

When you get the chance, look up Super Dragon Ball Heroes. It's a promo anime taking place after the Tournament of Power and DBS Broly film. Not exactly story-driven since it's all over the place, but a lot of fan service. Definitely worth the watch.

What I like about the tournament is how they revealed that the Xenos actually wanted to find someone with virtue and integrity. At the start they tried to paint the xenos as enjoying the destruction of the universes, even to the point of malevolence.
The best way to find out the character of someone is to put them in a stressful situation like the tournament of power.

One minor little design choice I noticed was when Jiren powered up, Freeza’s golden form melts away. Almost like a metaphorical wiping away of his ego, enough to do what had to be done following.

Remember there was 4 universes who were exempted from the TOP because they had higher combat power than the ones who had to compete. So taking that information on board how much stronger are the mortals from those universes considering that goku was forced to master UI just to match up to Jiren. And also Jiren never had a “transformation” so he’s been fighting in his base form the entire tournament and was a mortal recognised by the Kai and destroyer of his universe as the strongest
I cried when this episode ended in 2018. It was too emotional because I just felt that it was going to be a very long time until it came back if at all.
This is probably the 3rd time Jiren should have been DQd.

Second Episode: You guys are talking over too much 😂 especially the dialogue and missing it. Frieza acknowledges 17s trust, Jiren being happy twice, Vegeta acknowledges Jiren being incredible. That was Bulmas mom and Marron. 17 was the MVP. The lineup of Goku Frieza and 17 was so creative. Such good writing.
Just remember, Ultra instinct isn't a Saiyan transformation. Which means that super Saiyan transformations could be added on top of it later. Much like SS being applied to "Saiyan god"
I like how vegeta went through all that, but it was pan headbutting him that he was most annoyed about. Comes to something when a baby can injure the prince of all sayans.

Something to keep in mind about DBZ Abridged, it is fan made through TFS so it starts off slowly but it does build up and gets really good just like the original anime itself.

I don't think anyone has ever mentioned that at 21:00 Freeza does something very smart -- Jiren was going to go just toss Goku off the edge, but Freeza baits him into ignoring Goku and attacking him by taunting him and pissing him off.
