I´m INTJ and was forced to teach. I guess I gave off the lawful-evil vibe... I was teaching a big group a basic chemistry course at university. Despite being all adults, I was towering over all of them and they were about as organised and attentive as little kids... It seriously pissed me off that they even ignored basic safety rules. I thus walked up to one of the offenders and told that girl that she´s supposed to wear a lab-coat, but that she can go on and ruin her clothes and collect her scars, I don´t care. However, a blind chemist is a worthless chemist and thus, she should put her F-ing safety goggles on! Later, I saw her again doing the same sh!t and I asked her if she forgot something, to which she seriously replied no and I thus surprised her with a quick eye-poke just stopping a little short... That fixed the problem...

I slightly envy you being a sub. Ok, you can't get to know and establish rapport with the class, but at least you don't have to pretend you aren't having a shitty day. It's the lying mask that kills me- I'd rather if I'm happy I can spread the joy, but if I'm having a bad day just be able to say "ok you little.... ssshh-young prodigies filled with potential and dreams.. I'm not in the mood, you don't want to be here anyway, so let's just make this quick and dirty today. Maybe next week we'll all be feeling differently and we can have a more fulfilling lesson".

Brandon Johnson Absolutely positively correct. Not many know that. Not to mention that many want “proof” of their own. Like I’ve mentioned before there are some legitimate test that one can take. Some will help as they are also building blocks to help you recognize ones individual traits. That will help them grow as well learn more about themselves. & for myself personally I think it’s great. Not everyone stays the same. We all learn & continue to grow. 😊

Cause we’re already forced to spend half the day at school, aka prison , some where we dont want to be just to spend a few more hours doing an assignment at home when being home is suppose to be where we have our free time and we can so whatever we want but noo the teachers like to pile a crap ton of work on us because even when we’re at home we’re still technically at school because of the 25 assignments that are due the next day. And then there’s the 3 tests you’ve gotta study for on top of that. Teachers act they’re the class that we take. - infp, currently in high school

Please enter a name While somewhat understandable for a high school student, I teach at a college level and have problems with this, as do fellow professors. In our case, we have a printed out syllabus with due dates for assignments, give in class reminders for weeks and still have students who just don’t turn stuff in and expect to pass at the end of the semester. While I don’t expect school to be the end-all be-all of someone’s life, it still kind of confounds me when someone literally pays per credit hour to just not do the bare minimum and have to retake the class and pay again. I will point out that this is not the majority of students, but it can still be really frustrating as a teacher. I literally assigned just one 2-3 page paper last semester and had at least 5 students out of 22 not turn it in at all.

    • @uaa2800

      S. Moore ohh that makes sense i guess it depends on what level of education you’re at cause high school is a whole prison but with college you choose to go and you have to pay so it doesn’t add up for a college student to slack off, but that’s their problem not yours. They’re only hurting themselves. They sound like great students btw

@@PuzzleQodec Your comment makes me wonder... She could be an INFP who just knows how important it is to be serious with students.
She actually reminds me a bit of one of my favorite teachers in high school. She was clearly an introvert, and was super creative with her teaching. She was also careful that there was no busy work while making sure we knew everything that we needed to know. At the same time she gave no leniency when it came to rules and expectations. One day late, your A paper will become a B. Two days? That A is now a C. Three days? No way your paper will count towards your overall grade. A mix between seriousness, flexibility, and creativity... She'd been teaching at least 15 years by the time I had her. She knew how her students thought better than any other teacher. The freshmen all thought she hated them 😂😂 The juniors and seniors? A totally different story. They all respected her like no other. She was also my English teacher. Knew how to teach poetry super well. I also remember hearing that she cried most every night her first year teaching... She might have told us herself... It's been too long. She was a great story teller as well. My class asked her to speak at our graduation. She disappeared as soon as the graduation ceremony was finished!

Back again. I had a teacher who was really intense growing up and sometimes he would take it SUPER personally if you didn't meet up to his standards especially if you were one of his favoured students. One time he decided to teach class standing on a desk since he thought he just weren't paying enough attention that week. Another time he lost it when most of the class didn't do very well on a science test. He sent maybe 5 or 6 of us into the hallway who did pass the test(I was oddly one of them that day, another day I may have been among the unfortunate) when he called in other staff and teachers to basically threaten and MEAN they would be take away their favourite extracurriculars - if you were on a sports team, you'd be removed, or not allowed in whatever club you were in anymore. Big long lecture including supporting staff. He one came up to me once and said he found it easy to read his students, but I was a rare one he had trouble with. He could just be really intense and if you didn't do well enough he was like a master as making you feel you let him down too, Looking back this is all strange to me as we were 11/12. i wonder which type he was? Any ideas?
I adored him for years actually because whilst he was subtly tough me with m (like I said he had this way of making you feel like you had to do well for him just as much as yourself) but he encouraged me a lot at that time and even though we both knew I could do better, the fact he believed in me was something I never forgot and carried it for years. As the years went by I stopped feeling like this as I feel a lot of it was too intense and inappropriate because of it. I can't even remember all of it, maybe it's just me being too sensitive but it was like he had too much emotional power if you were the kind of student that could be influenced by that. I realize going a few steps further that power could kind of dangerous. Not saying he was but looking back IMO NOW I'd tell him to maybe cool it because it may not be the healthiest. He ran into my sister who was working a part time job as a barista in her 20's and just told her how disappointing that was. I was just like fuck you. When I heard that. I realize, he never knew me or my sisterwasn't his student but we're twins so he had a lot interaction with her too, our classrooms being right beside each others). He knew nothing about her life, not even at 11. Or 16 or 20 or 25. Why did he think he had the right to feel disappointed? Feeling someone has more potential is one thing, but the way he expressed it was just so self centered. He told my mom once years after when he ran into her we were two of his favourite students(though my sister was never actually in his class). Of course years have gone by since then, but he clearly remembered my sister well just a few years back. The intensity of it makes me feel so strangely about him now. I no longer think well of him in my head and he was was in my head for YEARS though he can't have known that.
In Highshool we had a teacher who dressed in crazy ties and bright shirts all the time who gave everyone nicknames and often pretended our classroom was a star wars ship and he was the Captain. He would give us weird punishments like singing nursery rhymes in front of the class or bouncing down the hallway on one leg. It was obvious some of the teachers got so annoyed with him as once he made us run laps...for reasons I cannot remember even though he was a history teacher and one of the tech/computer/ lab teachers was furious at us all interrupting his classroom which had glass walls by running like a herd of elephants because our teacher told us to(he seems far more annoyed after he realized this other teacher made us do it). Type for Captain?
WELL I just made a fun video my soapbox.
