I'm an INFP, but for older kids I'd just speak quieter and quieter, untill no one but the front students could hear me. This makes students very nervous and they start to shush each other. Learned from a teacher of mine lol For younger kids, I'd just try to keep up with chaos. I don't expect them to be quiet, so I try to keep them talking to me instead of each other.
I'm a student, and the first impression is everything. If you are a pushover at the start of the class, even if you improve it later, it is hard to regain the classes attention and respect.

INFP (as a teacher). We actually have a rule with kids. It's called '10 seconds'. If I suddenly fall silent, they need to quite down in 10 sec, otherwise I increase their homework.

well aside from looking at it from a typical math problem point of view, it could very well be possible that the human needed to have 32 bananas.The person probably needed to have a certain amount (In mass) of bananas and the available local bananas were smaller in size so a greater no was req to meet the said amt. or maybe it was the species that they preferred.Id say it's more of a physical need over an addiction towards banana consumption because it's 32/day (approx)
@@nvericks617 I get the need to have 32 bananas, but eat them in one day? I can't imagine a person who would eat so many bananas in one day and wouldn't be sick, and considering that a human body needs nutrients from various foods she needs to eat even more food that day... It's a lot of food 😶
My Intp son and I would have immediately began singing, Harry Chapin's song...30thousand pounds of Banana's.
And I would have told everyone in the room that if they type the word, 'Banana' on Reddit, a Banana Bot will show up with random banana facts...then I would have mentioned that spiders are often found in crates of banana's and terrify grocery store workers...and then...and now, I really would like some banana bread but there are no ISFJ's to make me fresh bread...I will go AGoogling and read about the best banana bread recipes and consider a plan to organize a trip to the store and then maybe buy some banana bread instead. Its more efficient that way.

I always get INTP in personality quizs over the years, but it never sit right with me. While people see me as emotionless and sensitive, I actually is very sensitive. Like I can almost know how people in certain situation even if never experienced it.
And after reading about cognitive function I'm kinda certain I'm INFP. Although watching these kind of videos make me question it again.

@@ccc21dm I'm an INFJ teacher, and the need to manage the group dynamic keeps me on track. For every student I pause to council, I have fifty students getting bored. That is panic inducing. Would I like smaller classes so I could go deeper? Totally, but I don't think I would be secure enough to do what the INFJ did in this video if I were a substitute.

yes, i can always spot enfps because they are the easiest to pick out and portray. i also seem to attract and be surrounded by them irl and hilariously enough, examples are always spot-on representations of them
I was a sub ones and emded up in a French class. Sounded something like that.
Actually, I didn't think the ENFP was accurate. It sounded just like my "live in the moment" ENSP friends. An ENFP thinks things through a lot more than SP's and they are more curious about other people, so I think they are more likely to learn a little bit of a whole bunch of languages just in case they ever need it. And if they sporadically ended up in Mexico, they are more likely to start learning the language from the locals before they returned home.
In short, ENFP's have a plan, but are ready to go off-script at any time. 😀
ENFP's as a teacher would teach the lesson, but leave extra time for whatever feels right at the moment. This includes sharing outside information to add depth to a lesson, teaching the kids other important things like Psychology or Chess, telling an interesting/ funny story, or leading the class in a discussion of a topic they are interested in (because ENFP's know a little about everything and we're good at relating to people, drawing them in, and keeping conversations going). And we don't give up easily- we will find a way to make a personal connection to every student in that class... even if we are subbing and we might never see those students again.

Being an INFJ I'd say that one is SUPER accurate. I'm actually a substitute teacher and by the time class was over I was talking to a bunch of kids about their problems and people who hurt them in their past. It basically turned into one big therapy session LMAO

I loved school and would have stayed in school forever but I could have learned so very much faster with an Intuitive teacher. Mike Johnston has my favorite TedTalks on the Art of Delivering Information.

@@wynstansmom829 in my experience i suspected only a small percentage of my female students to be INTJ and i guess it would have been less if i wasn't teaching physics ( which attracts thinker types more)
and for your second question, usually teaching isn't tiring for me as long as i'm explaining something , i really don't see other people, i just see myself on a stage wrestling with some idea that i have to dissect and for me that's home turf and i'm comfortable doing it. doesn't matter if 100 students are watching me do it for only 1 student
the tiring part is the parts after my explanations that i allow them to ask away their questions, that part drains me, so i usually put this part before the mid-class break or right at the ending of the class

I have spent the last year, learning how to learn. Lately, I wonder about Clapping.
If your school has ever played a clapping game, I suspect observing the students might offer you insight into who the Intuitives may be.
I can't clap but I can study clapping and maybe learn how to do this. White Americans tend to clap on the One and Three beats while our African American churches use the Two-Four beat.
Now, I wonder why someone in my many music classes didn't realize the importance of this difference and explain it when I tried to ask why I was always off the beat. Oh, I didn't ask...I just assumed I was rhythmically challenged. You should have seen me try to march during basic training...lol

I have to disagree with you. I am an INTJ female and we are rare.
I have only recently embraced being an INTJ female and understand why I don't fit in.
I love his videos , watch and share them all the time but sometimes it appears he has difficulty with INTjs compare to other personalities.
We are thinkers and don't say everything out loud unless we just can't stand the stupidity around us, then we have to point it out before we pop, then we get crucified for doing so, even if it's said "nicely ". The truth is , most of the time we are right . Others just hate that we are point on so much ;)

Asking questions to students after explaining material is working. I like my students, but I am kind of enjoying torture them by giving a question that appears on my explanation before. 😂
It means they pay attention and understand the class. If they can't answer, just pass the question to other students or explain again.

As an INTP I would like to ask this question:
Why is Susie eating 32 bananas bananas per day? That is roughly 3360 calories in a single day. Assuming Susie is a female, she should be getting around 2000 calories per day. Now, lets assume she gets a bit of exercise... she would need to get maybe 200-300 more calories a day if the exercise is more on the intense side. It still doesn't make sense why she is consuming over 3000 calories. Another question - does Susie eat other foods as well. She will certainly suffer from malnutrition if she did not get the proper nutrients that bananas lack. Does Susie have a death wish? I believe she should consult a doctor and probably a therapist.

The way you portrayed INTJ is so accurate. I had one for my Literature subject and she's always constantly eyeing everyone around in a very scary and kind of traumatizing in a way.
We are extremely efficient, we do what most people struggle to do with just a stare of our eyes.
ENTP teacher here and I’ve literally said that every time some smartass decides to ask if the topic we’re learning is relevant to real life SHUTS THEM UP EVERY TIME
INFJ approved. I once taught English and volunteered as a teacher, and I gotta tells ya, asking them how their day/week went then going on to listen to their rants was basically how I spent almost 1/3 of my session

-Getting disappointed at all the obvious ways my students attempt to cheat. If you're going to do it, at least make it interesting.
-Was told by others that I wrote better lesson plans than the teaching staff... my second year of education college.
-Remembering how bored I was in high school and endeavoring to challenge my students with projects and creative applications of source material/ real-world problems.
-Not really caring about a lot of the stuff my colleagues think is important, but wanting to make sure my students understand the importance of pretending to care in order to avoid unproductive conflict.

I taught school for several years and was closer to myself. But later became a marketing trainer and used MBTI types to communicate with customers. It gave me consistently high sales and awards in Leadership, Performance & Achievement.

The ENTP is too accurate. That is exactly how i think and explain something to someone. Insert statement-reason-conclusion a.k.a practical solution needed at the moment. Sensors would go straight to the practical solution but Ne users imply the branch of uses and causations of it in one sentence. Great job as always, Frank!

I had an ENTJ teacher last semester. He gave very similiar speeches; I loved him.
ENTP here. I think I've actually said that to one of my students.
I've only listened to a couple of these, but I always know which one is me (ENTP) right away. and which one is my brother (INFP). they seem distinct to me. I have several students to which I've said these things. no use beating around the bush with people.

As an INFJ working in the field, I'd say it's pretty accurate. One of my recent lessons with an adult student:
Me: "Your boss said what?"
Student: "He said we seem to have lost our spark."
Me: "What does that even mean? You work in a pharmacy!"
Student: "I know right! And he generalizes all the time..."
This was an English lesson. We were not even speaking English.
How's being an INFJ teacher? Do you find it difficult to the point that you hate it and leave it? Cuz I wanna be one (I hope soon), but some INFJs I come across in the comments left their jobs. I know teaching is an exhausting job tho, I just hope it won't be to the point I'd completely hate something I'd love :((
I'll be honest. It can go very very wrong for an INFJ. Having said that, you should give it a try if that's what you'd like to do. It's about anticipating and avoiding certain settings. You have intuition, that's a powerful tool. Ask for a tour around the school and see how you feel about it. Each place has its unique atmosphere. It the staff strike you as drained and unhappy, don't accept the job. You'd be drained and unhappy before you know it. I would consider going into special needs teaching because that's where an INFJ can make a real difference. Special needs kids are very pure, they don't judge and they appreciate what you do for them. Also, you need to be able to do what feels right and not be forced to do what feels wrong by ignorant people above you, so try to avoid places with inflexible, narcissistic management. I hope this doesn't put you off. Nice people are needed in schools. It's sad to see them give up and leave.
@@korezine3854 I've been a teacher for 12 years, and I'm an INFJ. Yes, I've hated my job sometimes and regretted my life choices, but I've also loved it. I've understood that what keeps me going in the education field is not exactly the teaching part but the being able to make a difference in people's lives. When I have a job where I feel I can help others, I love it! When the people above me make it sound like pure business and want me to teach according to their own agenda, I usually end up quitting. It can be a very emotionally draining job, though, because we are surrounded by so many people and pick up on their not-so-pretty emotions ALL the TIME. In my case, I would feel exhausted at the end of the day and need way too much alone time to make up for all the overstimulation. I used to work with teenagers and had excellent rapport with them, but I overworked myself into a major depressive period that has required an almost 2-year break for me to recover. I want to keep teaching, but I don't think I'll go for a full-time job anymore. I suppose each INFJ can have different experiences, but I thought I'd share my perspective with you. Ironically, I think INFJs are some of the best people to become teachers due to our honest caring, empathy, and commitment, so follow your intuition and do what feels right for you. 😉

Regarding what you said, I agree, I feel like I wouldn't work well in a public school, esp there'll be alot of traditional superiors as well as too many students (in my country, a classroom contains at least 50 students.) Maybe a small private school would be nice, though I worry about the pay. Or maybe a professor someday... I also thought about special ed too, but I'm afraid I don't have the right experience yet, so I still have to study more. But we'll see. I'll trust my intuition if I feel like the school is not good. Yeah, the thing about INTJs is really accurate. I’m an INTJ, and whenever I’m with my friends, I’ll be staring at something (spaced out) and they’ll come up in front of me and unintentionally begin a staring contest. I’ve gone on for around 3 or 4 minutes without blinking. Whenever I do blink (outside of a staring contest), my friends will be like, “wow, you finally blinked for the first time today.”
