This video is not helpful at all. Most of her cooking demo used microwave option and does not show baking or air fryer ability. Is preheating necessary? How frozen foods are baked and how soon can it cook?
I haven't finished watching this yet, but I have watched 4 others on this machine and each video shows a different feature. It would be nice to have one long video or a series that covers more of this machine. I think we have to rely on the cookbook that comes with it and also the online one that is shown here.
I just received this today. I feel stupid because you made it seem a breeze. I find it’s so different and hope I can get use to cooking with this. You video did help explain better because of your video. Thank you
With the lasagna baking dish that you use in the video, the handles of the dish bumped into the side of the microwave when the turntable started. Are you really able to use this size of baking dish?
Exactly what I wanted to ask about! I had to do a slow-motion watch before the door closed and was positive it wasn't going to clear the sides. I know exactly which of my baking dishes will not hit any sides when rotating on the turntable.
I'm going to use a large round one because I don't want a casserole dish bumping into the sides - if I put one in this size and shape, it would likely keep bumping and changing directions for 30 minutes and I don't want that to cause damage, the inside is so pretty!
It says in the instructions that if the pan on the glass plate rotates and hits the wall that the glass plate on the turnstile will automatically rotate in the opposite direction and "this is normal." So it goes back and forth.
@@atticusbeatty1621 Just because things are written one way does not mean that is what was actually meant. It does not make sense to have an oversized tray bumping each wall and making it rotate the other way every few seconds! 'If food or utensil on the glass tray touches oven walls causing the tray to stop moving, the tray will automatically rotate in the opposite direction. This is normal.' I have used a container that I have not centered on the tray and it has bumped the wall and turned to rotate in the other direction. Often this will move the dish enough so it clears the walls before I center it properly. I don't think it means that if your tray is too big to rotate in the space that you should keep it in there bumping around. Why would I force the rotating gear enough that it will break instead of just using containers that fit?
Wow. I spend over $400, so I can make Mac&Cheese? Show a roast, then tell us how to clean after it splatters. Or wouldn't Panasonic want us to see that?
I have an old inverter Panasonic microwave that I absolutely love for the sensor reheat and defrost options. Thought it fried its electronics with the last bout of power issues our town had, so quickly ordered this bells & whistles replacement while on sale. After 2 attempts at the unplug-replug reset, it came back to life but looking forward to having a new gadget anyway. Have to wait another week to get it delivered but I also ordered their suggestion of a pack of 100 heat resistant up to 450F *parchment papers* to use with it, *Chefman 9" round disposable air fry liners* that might solve a lot of sticking problems on the rack (marinated kabobs) and also in the air fryer basket since they are perforated. I think also could put it on the ceramic plate if something might drip. For a roast, I would put it in a shallow glass pyrex pie plate with a bit of water in it. In my regular convection oven, it catches dripping nicely to form the jus of a gravy. I saw a demo on someone putting a roast directly on the black tray - ooooo, not going to do that. The manual that I downloaded does give a suggestion on how to steam clean the inside that might work.
You can cook a whole roast in it as long as your pan is no bigger then 9x13. It's not for a huge American family it's technology from Japanese kitchens that's perfect for small kitchens. Imagien this in a RV instead of a big standard microwave. Why is everyone on the intent so pessimistic 😂😂🤦🏻♀️
@@alec4672 exactly and for most of my quick meals this saves time and money vs my larger stove. . Also the inverter powered versions like this one save 30 to 50% in electricity vs a regular transformer powered microwave. .

Paper burns at 454° F. Anything below that temp should be ok, however, you may notice some browning to the paper and make sure it has enough clearance awa from the heating element.

Hi. I'm getting this microwave tomorrow. Was supposed to come today but... Is there a recipe/cook book for this unit? I don't know much beyond a microwave.
Thanks but I'd like to have a recipe book that tells me how to cook with the four-in-one microwave. The booklet that comes with it leaves you guessing about a lot of stuff

If the temp goes down as low as 100 degrees for the convection, you could theoretically dehydrate in it. Have you tried that?

It makes such a loud noise when closing the door, scared me! Thanks for the video.
Can you also bake with metal pans?
Yes if you do not use any microwave settings, just the convection bake settings and you can bake things then in any pan.
Thank for sharing

can I use any type of pan? like a bread pan ?
Yes, just not for any microwave cooking - only for the baking convection oven settings.

Can I use Costco parchment paper with Panasonic chef 4 in 1 - in airfry mode? TX!!!
Absolutely!
We use parchment paper in 500 degree commercial pizza ovens, so I think you are safe using it in this device.

You have to warm it up first and use a pizza stone.
