    Damn this video was super helpful. Helped me think about the game more strategically. Died to a player who stands still at the edge a min before watching this

    This is why I hate state of this game atm. It's all about playing passive and baiting opponent to attack you first... It should be high risk = high reward. Instead it's just 2 guys dancing around each other where character with high punish potencial is better (teros, orion, mordex ect.)

      You're right about the game being more passive than other games, but every platform fighter follows basically the same logic with stage control baiting and punishing is a core part of every fighter as for the characters they all have high punish potential the only archetype that is meta is heavy weapons or string weapons someone like teros being heavy and mordex being string the big reason this game is passive comes down to the movement being so incredibly fast but the concept of fighting for stage control and neutral game still apply to this and every other fighting game

      Basically, you can't just rush in once your opponent is at the edge of stage since a lot of players will try to run in with an attack so they can gain more stage control so before rushing in you have to make sure your opponent won't try to hit you for it aka they stand still constantly or empty hop around you can figure this out by baiting with movement and punish them for being to scared to attack first

      @@lxuliy ah okay. So you’d say play passive?

    • @lxuliy
      @lxuliy  Місяць тому +1

      @KJ7Tillymann that will work for a quarter of the time at higher elo the issue with playing passive is it can be beaten out with poking aggressiveness aka (parry) passive works only for aggressive players but not parry players parry players will get beaten out by aggressive players however maybe I'll make a video going a little more in depth as to what I mean it'll probably be titled as a adapting guide
