Yes, but why can’t we live this way? The reason is the dominance of the ego. So when ego fades life blossoms.
Thich Nhat Hanh changed my life, I've been on a really dark path of mental struggles and depression. His wisdom on mindfulness and meditation is getting me on the healing path. I feel very grateful 🙏💛✨️

It’s both. In space-time where we are 1000 light years of distance takes 1000 years for the light to reach us from the star in Master Thay’s example. He is correct in this simile - the light forms a picture 1000 years in the past when it has reached us

@@iwalkinpeace Let me help you : A Light year is : speed of light so roughly 300.000 km in one second multiplied with 60 x 60 x 24 x 365 for the number of seconds in one year gives 9.7 trillion kilometers DISTANCE. It's definitely NOT both. And of course that can mean that a star we perceive at the very outskirts of our universe is dead since BILLIONS of years, just the light that we see from that star is still "alive", a kind of last life sign emitted by the star before it's end of existence.

Any image that arrives via that light is an image from 1000 years ago and not the present goings-on. This is what Master Thay alluded to. I think you may be confused - there isn’t a need for a calculation. Are you intoxicated?
