Hello. Your lessons are amazing. In one class you explain everything and make it so clear, so enjoyable for kids. The way you teach kids, how kids anticipate your lessons, smile on their faces show ur professionalism and also enthusiasm. I also work with kids and I know how difficult to work with them but glittering in their eyes gives me motivation and inspires me alot. I think you are a real teacher.
Wow, thank you so much for this! Yes, being a teacher is not easy but it's one of the most rewarding experiences in the world. When a 10-year-old hugs you after the lesson and says he/she loved it, you feel like you grew a pair of wings. :))
You have a brilliant technique of reaching out to the kids in the class. The use of smartboard and the normal board simultaneously makes learning more effective and impactful. Thankyou soomuch teacher Val.!!
Hello teacher Val 😊 happy to watch your videos again.today I learned vocabulary with your learners I can't keep smiling when I watch your videos. You inspired me to do many things Thank you teacher. Regards.
It feels like I have learned a lot since I knew your UA-cam channel. Thank you so much! However, I hope that someday you would introduce and share with us how to make teaching Powerpoint as beautiful, vivid and lively as you have made. I will be very grateful if you do that. Once again, thank you so much!
Thank you! I divide classes boys/girls because 1) I don't have my own classroom, and 2) students don't have assigned seats, so the boy/girl arrangement is my solution to bring the competition element into my classes. The winning team gets a star at the end of the class, and the team with the most stars gets five points to the final exam score. :)
Hello Teacher Val! Much love from Lebanon. May I kindly ask you to perhaps upload a video explaining how you make your PPT presentations so interactive and not just a basic "slideshare?" I am sure all of us teachers will greatly benefit from such a video or tutorial. I understand if it's still not possible though, and thank you so much for reading my comment!
Hi Val, There's a lot of "S" words in your vocabulary list. Was this a strategic choice to target the sound or just how things worked out? Many thanks for posting your videos online. I've been watching them while I complete my TESL certification (practicum next semester- woo!). I really appreciate the way you keep things consistent and set expectations up front. Is the English Only rule mandated by the school, or is that your preference? I see you use a lot of Mandarin labels to help students better understand the meaning of words (especially when unfamiliar with the term). Did you ever find out if there is a Mandarin word for "Jungle Gym"? Final question, I see you use the audiolingual method frequently and I see the students write in their journals, but I don't quite understand if you're their full time classroom teacher or if they receive daily/weekly English instruction with you? They seem quite advanced in their English language learning! I'm impressed! Many thanks and best wishes!
Hi Anna! Thank you for watching and thank you for your questions! 1) I didn't pick the "S" words deliberately - it has just happened naturally. :) 2) I do speak Chinese and use it occasionally in my classes, but I try to speak English as much as I can. 3) No, I never found out a Chinese word for "jungle gym." I asked a few Chinese teachers, but they couldn't tell me. 4) I am not their full-time classroom teacher; they see me once a week, and my job is to teach conversational English through storytelling. It is yet another reason why I keep the use of L1 to a bare minimum. 5) They have English classes with their Chinese English teachers every day. Most of them are very advanced indeed in their English language learning! :)
Hi Teacher Val! love your teaching. May I ask that is English your mother tongue, and that how many students in your class? Thank you for posting your classes and wish you the best luck!

Yeah, I can do it but I need to know what exactly you'd like to learn. Transitions, hyperlinks, animations? :)
