I was so looking forward to this upgrade. While I loved the sound and playability of the previous version, I had trouble with some notes being slightly off. While I could have the cello sit on top of an orchestra for a solo, it did not work well in passages where I needed two or three cellos playing their own melody lines. Somehow, that never worked well, no matter how much I tweaked. But, boy, does it work now especially when I assign different moods to each cello track. I was so close to buying Orchestral Tools' Nocturne Cello because I had such trouble with the above issue. But now I rather spend that money on the Bohemian Violin. Great work, guys!
You people are the Jesus of VST cellos. Praise the Lord! I would have liked to see a musical phrase in which you switch from short to long articulations in real time, though.
I love the tone, mood and idea but I’m wondering if the next expansion can have the option of being less heavy handed on the vibrato. It’s a bit over the top and takes away the realism for me.
Hi Scott, thank you for the kind words. Expansion 2 will bring NonVibratos like we are doing for the Violin Expansion 2, so you will be able to force on non vibratos were desired :)
hello Guys. Do you have the new update 4,0 same as the violin one. I have the new update 4.0 for the violin VST. It uses its own vast plugin rather than in the uni workstation plugin. have you guys reduced the vibrato heaviness yet?
Hi Sambo. We are working on the update for Cello at the moment. We expect it to come out the end of May. We are adding more bow types, crafting and non vibrato to the Cello to match the violin as well.
Yes it does. It has autorebowing which means that it rebows automatically when the bow would be about to end and you can also rebow manually by simply replying the same note right after you release it and it will tie it into a nice rebow.

Benny Damien Hi Benny. The vibrato is captured as performed by the cellist. We aim to capture the performer, so instead of making virtual vibrato(which allows rate and speed control, but generally sounds unnatural) we capture variety of bows, speeds, dynamics, expressions all with varied amount of vibrato to match how the cellist would approach the phrase. Hope that helps.
I just bought the hollywood cello diamond but it is unusable because the cello sound is so bad and there are also the artifacts when i sound long note. The sound of this bohemian is incredible!
Hi Max, thank you for the kind words. Col Legno is coming, but it wasn't something commonly requested for EXP1 or EXP2, so while we do plan to add it, based on user feedback, it wasn't top of the priority list. Nice to hear that we are not the only ones who want to see it ;)

Hi Ha xi, Trill is there same as portamento. I just didn't get the chance to show all the features- just hold a note and tap the trill note while holding the original note and you can do trills based on your desired speed without even lifting the base trill note (the performer will realize that you are trilling and employ trill legato) same as in the violin expansion 1. Hope this extra info helps and we will cover all the legato types in a separate video as putting all the features into one video would make the video too long, so we are going to put out more videos specializing on all the different features - you can also check out the manual for more info on what is available in this massive expansion.
