Watching Ash's face go from joy and fun to serious staring during Jenny's track is so telling of how masterfully Ren controls the viewer's/listener's emotions.
You could see the angst on Ash's face, when Violet's tale was playing, you were definitely feeling the song.
Well, we now know this video was recorded several days ago, knowing Rens album is actually #1 in the UK.
Uh...yeah..how did you think this worked??? A lot of these reaction channels do a whole week of recordings, then upload them all at the end of the week or over the course of a few days. At the very least, the upload is a couple days after the recording. This aint real time unless you're watching a live stream.
Why?
Editing...if they're making money on it they want it to look and sound good for you.
But even "no script off the rip" has to prep a video for upload...and then have time for the upload.
Stop going to a steak house and then pissing about it taking more than 5 minutes to make your meal.

The extraordinarily intense eyes of the boy on the cover of U2's "War" album. Ash's eyes during "Violet's Tale" were exactly like that.

Are all powerful songs by Ren that you have not reacted to yet.
Dominoes Is my favourite ren Song. Probably its not a "hit" in that way but to me the song it hits so hard that i can't help but listen to It at least 2-3 times each day.
Also Ready For You, Ocean, Humble and Diazapam.... etc...
Basically to me... all his works are top notch!!! I Love his visualizers/lyric Videos!

Oh wow... been waiting for this one. And as others have said, our Ren made #1, with the kind congratulations of Rick Astley himself. Good on him, he deserves every bit accolade he receives ❤
This is probably my favorite song he's done, just a heartbreaking story told well
it was sweet that you were able to get some laughs out of your system at the start...
cuz wow we all knew there wasn't gonna be laughter afterwards. This one is haunting and tragic.
His lyrical poetry throughout these performances are just superlative. Combine that
with the planning out of locations to use natural acoustics and the environment for the story,
and Ren is truly the master of his own genre of performance art. (notice, all three are one shots)
A couple things often over looked (hidden subtext):
1. Jenny was a teenage prostitute, that’s why she was in high heeled shoes and had walked the that street 1000 times before…
2. Screech’s girlfriend and his boy Patrick were cheating on him, that’s why there was no answer at Patrick’s place and his girlfriend was “busy”…
3. and violet is pregnant before she met stevie from the line, "she moved out at sixteen, a semi-detached council flat, paid by welfare scheme" means the government is paying children when they get pregnant.
4. and violet got pregnant by her dad, so jenny and screech dad was their own grandpa from the line, "every night he tucked her tight but never left the room. I spare you with the details, I'm sure her mother knew." Probably explains why Stevie is mad at Violet because he realized the twin's wasn't his, explains the lines Stevie said "why you lying to me violet?" so with no regard to the welfare of the kids, he beats Violet to death.
Was great to see Ren come in with the NUMBER ONE!
Everything you said is spot on, great reaction and I've watched a lot of Hi Ren and Jenny and Screech. When you pointed out the guitar at the beginning of Screeches tale the rapid playing reminded me of someone running at a frantic pace to distance himself of what he just did.
Was holding my breath watching Ash when it got to the third piece… so glad she’s in a place to process it ok…

This trilogy of the Tales are my second most favorite of REN’s songs. It’s a masterpiece! It’s Epic indeed! Great reaction btw!
Ren somehow transforms his pain into art. And quite beautifully, full stop.
It's so rare that we are able to witness artists like him. From his performances, his musicality, and context within the music..who else actually does this?
Through interviews of both Ren and Samuel Im confident I can say they just have a genuine symmetry with each other but they are also both huge perfectionists so they will put in every bit of effort need to get that one perfect result. They even said they took a total of 183 takes for one of their videos. I can’t remember if it was Money Game pt. 1 or Genesis
Great reaction and feels fresh having not watched the Tales for a good while. Yes the guy in the car in Ren's 'Power' video Samuel Perry Falvey films many of Ren's videos, these included.

I've never people get their knickers in a twist over comparing musicians and singers.
Of course everyone is inspired by other artists they grew up listening to.
We are all inspired by someone or something in our lives.
I'll be honest, I'm expecting this to be a difficult one, after the reaction to the Bill Burr video about hitting women. This entire series stands as an important work that not only discusses the often taboo topic of DA, but also is capable of drawing the listener in and MAKING them experience of what he's performing, because in most cases people don't consider the gravity of the subject. Many survivors of DA have spoken up about how important it is to them to bring this to the table, and that many say they 'felt seen' again. Reading through the many comments of many reactors to this trilogy, you'll find incredible stories of healing, connection, and growth of people from all demographics, ages, and sexes due to the Tales. Ren is truly a phenomenon.
Love how there are so many threads running through rens songs. 'shame' and 'blame'are used in Money Game trilogy. Even in Losing it there's a nod to Bongo Bong. He makes boxing references in Murderer and
Halftime. He mentions Nas in Back to 74. Its like he puts Easter eggs in his songs, a nod or a reference to some of his other songs

This is a VERY SAD tale; But, what I LOVE the MOST about "The Tale of Jenny and Screech" is that in the end it points out that Jenny and Screech were siblings. Christ teaches us that we all brothers and sisters. That we are divine spiritual beings in mortal bodies. We should treat each other as such. Jenny and Screech grew up in the foster system so that they didn't know they were siblings. But, if were taught like we should be taught that we are ALL BROTHER and SISTERS! That is the way we should ALL treat each other! This is what I like about this song. Hopefully, one day we will all know this. 🙂❤🙏

Jenny's Tale and Screech's Tale were written 2 years before Ren wrote Violet's Tale. The 1st two were of course amazing, but hearing Violet's Tale just sucks you in and you can almost feel every single knock and punch.

Clarify something for us in the States. I’ve heard people comment that they did not think the police in the UK carried weapons. I was of that opinion also. Is that incorrect?
Most ordinary police on the street do not carry guns. But there are armed response units, and that's who they might send out in response to a murder on the street like Jenny's.
